thank you. Just started the page 2 weeks ago. I work in production by trade and have been painting warhammer for over 25 years. finally bringing the two together.

the OG imperial armour books have been a constant inspiration for me. I have all of them except the Doom of Mymeara. Before switching entirely to 30k, I used to carefully recreate a lot of the units and formations from those books.
Absolutely love the process, the sharp editing and the good music. What a great video! I'm going to have to translate these over to my Sons of Horus
I will have some Sons of Horus guides coming soon. The next 3-5 painting guides are all IF and then will pivot to SOH, RG, AL, WB and a touch of Thousand Sons.

@@heresyera yeah I've decided to grab the big box and paint it as Sons of Horus, I want to grab another smaller box with it but just dunno what to get
you got the age of darkness box set or the astartes battle group? both are good starting points. you can get far with either, the weapon upgrades give you a lot of mileage with your basic marines.
@@heresyera sorry should said, the age of darkness, can't find the other box otherwise I'd of probably grabbed it, I've got couple resin printers so can get weapons and conversion bits that way too

Awesome videos have you tried painting the tank tracks and wheels a mud brown colour first then a light dry brush of a dark metallic or better pencil graphite then add the powers after makes them look more realistic comes from old school model tanks
ive seen that in military modeling books. Probably is the way to go. I just have a massive collection and am pretty committed to keeping it all pretty uniform in style and technique.
@heresyera the two battle reports you have just done are the best I've seen I've watched them a few times. They are very well put together and cinematic normal battle reports I watch for a few minutes and get board of just watching players roll dice and move models around you might be on to a new way of filming them keep up the good work

Loved the video! Would love to see a process for how you do infantry and maybe tips on how to do this without airbrush maybe spray cans??
Spray cans lack the control and precision of the airbrush, but you could achieve most of this tutorial with cans alone. Main stage I think would be a little difficult would be applying a wash on the tank. I prefer to use the airbrush on tanks because it goes on lighter and doesnt pool like it would with a brush. Infantry, I brush washes on and the airbrush is less key.
I would to see an airbrush tutorial for the sons of horus (Especially their characters), Space Wolves and Dark Angels
I have a SOH Infantry and Tank video in the pipeline. Im softly waiting for the horus aximand and tybalt marr models to drop from GW, but they taking wayyy tooo long.

Ill make sure to make this for you when the bat reps start rolling out. There are several tables, ranging from arid dropsite style table, huge imperial city, fortresses ( old fW fortress) as well as multi level zone mortalis.

Sons of Horus are one of my main legions. I have about 6,000pts painted of them right now. I will be adding a few units and characters and will have painting guides on them. Im going to get a few more fist units done for the studio army and then move back to SOH.

any recommendation on what I can do to break up the gunmetal on tracks and other parts from Iron Warriors Armor? Seems like a lot of Gun Metal if I'm not careful
sponge weather, powder and airbrush a very light dirt layer on the tracks

I see the gluing of parts that are painted. Are the surfaces not scraped ofpaint prior to gluing?
No issues with super glue.
What are the weathering powders?
i have old ones from secret weapon that i have been replacing with abtileung

main thing - i tend to gravitate toward yellow sand color powders - they often look light and too yellow in powder form but when applied look great

I have a few Sons of Horus tutorials in the works. Im pushing to get a few more units of imperial fists done for battle reports before switching back to Sons of Horus. Is there a specific SOH unit you would like to see a guide on?

I use the AI voice because it makes post production on these videos so much easier and faster. I'm painting, writing, filming and editing these videos at a pretty good cadence. If I wanted to use my voice for the painting guides, I would have to then add the layer of recording and mixing my voice as well as do re records based on performance and evolution of the edit. The Battle Reports will have our actual voices in them as well as some VO narration.

@@heresyera I'm actually loving the AI voice. So may hobby channels I watch don't enunciate clearly or speak clearly, so the AI voice's clarity is appreciated! Glad it helps speed it production too. Honestly, I wouldn't mind knowing what program you used, or even a tutorial vid on how to use it or something
I don't find the AI voice objectionable. It is a clear and concise verbalization of the work being shown. Creator voices can break my interest in viewing.
