You can see the work to take out the down sidings nearing completion, ahead of the bank being put in to re-route the avoiding line through the new platforms. Amazing rain as well, even for Nuneaton. Thanks for sharing.
O0:28 is that Midland Mainline heading to Birmingham ? The class 170 turbo star and at 00:52 is it the same train I didn’t live in Nuneaton back then so I don’t know
The Midland Mainline 170s were by then working for Central Trains. They still carried the Midland Mainline livery for a short while before they were all painted. Would of been the same unit as they were on the Birmingham to Stansted circuit.

Great information for modelling the trains in that time period!!
Superb footage, use to spend many hours at Nuneaton especially when the "drags" were on. Happy Times indeed.

Shame about the wind sounds, the footage is top stuff.
Thanks yes the winds always an issue
Good stuff
Not too much of the station has changed tbf.
No just the flyover where the sdgs use to be. Not much else though
Pendolino on a test run, or had they just entered revenue service?
I’m guessing on a test run..
