    Hey Liz, I have a tip for you. If you cut off both ends of the kiwi and then, carefully use a teaspoon to go around the kiwi, just inside the skin, you can take the whole fruit out all at once. Then slice as before. :)

    Wow! Thank you for such a great, informative video. It was very helpful for you to share all of your tips and experiences to making a great tart. I just made this for my family for Mother’s Day and they loved it! The tip about using beans since I don’t have the ceramic balls was especially helpful!! Thank you!!

    A tip I got from my grandmother in Germany was to keep the pastry from getting soggy, place some dry biscuits on the bottom before adding the custard and the fruit. That makes it a bit sweeter and also keeps for longer. Not that it would last long in our house.

    My sons favorite fruit tart comes from a French Bakery (official name, don't think it's official cuisine😅) It has an almond filling instead of pastry cream. I could eat pastry cream with a spoon & call it dessert. He, however enjoys the richness of the buttery almond paste with the tart crust & fruit. I believe they use the cream as you use the chocolate as a base.

    I would love to try and make this delicious fruit tart but have a question, is it necessary to put the butter on the cream or can it just be covered with the plastic without adding the butter to it?

    Hello, My husband and I tried this recipe yesterday. It’s delicious! Unfortunately, the cream is not thick enough, is there any way I can thicken the cream again? (It’s already done and in the fridge)

      Maybe you can add a lil bit of the corn starch. Mix it with a lil bit of milk and recook it

    I followed this recipe step by step and 1, the dough was extremely soft and I couldn’t get it in the pan and 2, the custard wasn’t uniform at all once I cut into it so it was just a big blob of custard and fruit. I will say though, the flavors of everything were very good. Not sure what happened though!

      Your dough probably got to warm. If you don’t cook your custard enough in can thin after cooking. This video has a good section on making custard. ruclips.net/video/Cn-X2Ti9Xj4/видео.html

      Same thing happened with my dough. I put it in the fridge for 2 and 1/2 hours and then I try to roll it out and I started to melt and break apart.

    Had a really tough time when using the rolling pin. It kept breaking all over the place and kept sticking to the mat. I even used flour to stop that from happening and worst of all when I finally managed to get it rolled around the pin it all stuck together and was in pieces when I put it on the pie pan. Heeelllpp. Should I leave it in the fridge for more than an hour ???

      I've also encountered this issue. Just keep rerolling the dough and rolling the pin again over the pan until it's one coherent crust. I've tried 3 times to make it work. Lastly I added a lot of flour on the table which helped the dough to pull with the pin without breaking. It kinda needs practice

      I had a rough time with the crust. It was very oily using 2 sticks of butter. I had to add quite a bit more flour just to be able to handle the dough. The custard was very good.
