I joined the Marine Corps at 17. I didn't turn 18 until two months after arriving to Okinawa. I rotated back to Camp Lejeune in October of 72. I currently have litigation pending for the Camp Lejeune water after contracting cancer.
Was with 2/9 STA plt. In 1988-89. I remember the East Coast club, the Cave, the Snack Bogey and the Kinloo. There were so many bars, like 150 but I dont remember the names. But, it was a drunk jarhead town at night for sure,
I was there 40 yrs ago (1982) the only difference I see is the Binjo (not sure of spelling) are covered up. Back in the day it was open sewer, do your business there.
I visited Kin-ville in Feb 2018 ( ruclips.net/video/3KD08DcBLEg/видео.html ) with the hope of at least visiting Snack Bogey again, only for it to be closed the day I went. Now I find your video, I see that it was open...and you stop filming right before you go in...ouch! You're killing me, bro! LOL! Thumbs up for taking this video! I see you have other vids of Kinville as well, so it's time to binge watch the rest of them..! (Edit: And I see that you filmed inside in your next video..! Awesome!)
dude, i saw white kitchen and bogeys in one video! thats so awesome
cant believe theyre both still there. brought back tons of memories!!!

Wouldn't recognize BC Street from 66-67. The pink concrete building looked vaguely familiar, but that was a popular style.
Looks like all the old bars are closed. Club Hawaii, Shangrila, East Coast, Eddie's Place. We did not know how good we had it back in the 80s and 90s.
There in 1988 best time of my life
I was at camp Hansen in 63. I see that the binjo ditches are covered now.

Spent most of my time in Naminoue. 70-71.
I was there at the same time you were Bravo 1/9 camp Hansen.
Charlies Tacos...only place I remember other than the by-me-drinkie bars & ho-houses next block over....circa 78-79. Good times
Charlie's Tacos was there back in Aug74 to Sep75. When I was stationed at Camp Foster H&S Co H&S Bn 3rd Force Service Regiment.
I noticed the Marine at the beginning has his pants sagged ( SMH)
Do the Okinawans do this too?
Lol he’s not a marine and those were the only pants I had 😅
