- On Landing this Boeing 767 Turbine engine ingested a bird. The airplane was grounded until an intense inspection with a bOrescope could be cosucted to check serviceability of airplane.

The cfms in those engines is incredible high. I'm surprised at how much residual stuck to the stators and turbines. Poor creature didn't feel a thing.
Does the N1 help direct any particulate entering the engine out the side bypass?

You are right the GE engines I believe most reliable engine ever made. I do believe in a way they do deviate passage of FOD into the core. I have seen many bird strikes never seen any with damage into the core. There's no way you could put a grill in front of that engine. Hope everything is going well .
No José, the grill will cause to much drag and it will break and cause much more damage than a bird 🦢

Yes the whole airplane gets out of commission until inspected and someone signs for the airworthiness of the airplane. It has to be all done for safety. I hear a squeak as the fan windmills. Bird strike damage?
Actually Andy that’s very common on the PW 4060. They always have that squeak 🐁 like they need some oil or something. The airplane took off from Guyana 🇬🇾 and no issues. They got lucky 🍀 this time. May bird 🦅 RIP 🪦

How do you rotate the high pressure shaft inside the engine? Because I mean you can rotate the engine fan that is on the low pressure shaft but its not connected to te other one.
Great question, we remove the N2 crank pad cover in the gearbox and using a special tool we rotate HIgh Pressure part of the engine to examine HPC and HPT. Glad you enjoyed the video
