my studio was dancing outside at a nearby elementary school during the quarantine summer-the amount of sunburns i got

On zoom sometimes I would pretend to freeze or I would go out of frame and just stand there. Also my cat is legit DEAF when he’s sleeping. I was in TAP and he didn’t even flinch.
From a dance teacher's perspective... this is spot on and hilarious! This video perfectly encapsulates the online dance experience! Good work and keep dancing girl!

How dancing went for me
my mom: go to ur ballet class then wait by urself for hip hop and then wait by urself again for tap. u were 20 min early for class and ill be 20-30 min late to pick u up. (wasn't her fault, she would be at work but it was still annoying when I was younger and still dancing)

*buys 1st pair, and sees my teacher showing me how to "destroy them"*
my mom: don't do that to your shoes you're destroying them, they were expensive
me: *needs new pair*
my mom: no, they look fine to me
*teacher won't let me dance bec of dead shoes*
*finally gets new pair after several WEEKS*

mom: nope
*quits/mom pulls me from dance and not just pointe but dance in general*

I have to do dance in my laundry room and my dog always thinks it’s the most comfortable to sit on my feet or right smack in front of the camera 😆 and the room is barely big enough to have the barre

I'm the one trying to fit the combo into the space I have. In tap I was going almost in place, wall to wall. And my sister doesn't like to share our mini dance room so when she gets it, I have to go upstairs in our hallway and use the banister at a bar. There's also a slanted ceiling in there so I can only put one arm up. And I can only do things in place. Kind of. Some things I can't even do at all. And in the dance room I can touch the ceiling so when I'm balancing with my arms up, I can just hold the ceiling.
Also my camera "does not work" in a specific class. It "does not work" in this class I hate called ball class or something like that and we just do random core/arm exercises that I despise.
A fun fact about me I teach myself how to dance when it’s nice I’ll do it outside but when it’s not I’ll do it in my room or garage I have been teaching myself since I was around 8 or 9 and now I’m 13

😭😭😭 the seniors one made me so sad because today it has been exactly one month since my last performance with one of my best friends isn’t eh whole world. She just graduated off my dance team and when you’ve been dancing together for four hours a day since you were three... it kinda feels like a piece of you is missing. There’s just this constant ache in my chest. We’re still friends but we’ll never perform together again, never sit in the waiting room and discuss science homework, never goof off when we’re supposed to be stretching again. Ever. It’s just not the same, and it never will be again. I just... can’t. Nothing feels good or happy or exciting anymore. Everything reminds me of dance, or of her and it hurts.
Sorry for the super long and a bit dramatic comment, but I really needed to get that off my chest, even if it was to complete strangers in a RUclips comments section.

I feel like at dance compotitions I’m the sad one I always cry sad and happy tears for. O reason in the dressing room or the zoom one in always on zoom like it would be before a compotition and I would have zoom but compotitions haven’t happened but I got the schedule 😅😭

yeah so I was the one who did LITERALLY NOTHING🤦🏻🤣
I would be five minutes late to every zoom, eat a whole meal when they told us to get water, stretch off camera so I didn’t actually have to stretch, ask to use the bathroom and then go and take a nap or play on my phone, and many more. It was rough ngl.
One time tho I actually had to use the bathroom and I forgot to mute after I asked and my mom was also on a zoom and I could hear my teacher from my bathroom going “wait who is saying that? I hear someone talking. How do I mute people?” 😂
