Is that an actual death message?
. Yes, when you leave the world border
@@bennyk384 Yup, and currently holds the record for hardest death message: "Player left the confines of this world whilest escaping Ender dragon" This being because how there is a way to get the Ender dragon into the overworld, it will be at spawn, so you either A, gotta transport it, or B, go to the world border and set up a stacis chamber, hook it up with some sort of fishing rod magic to be able to activate it from 30 milion blocks away, then flu back to spawn, get hit by the dragon, pull the rod so you get tped to the border, Pearl beyond the border and die all within 3 seconds of getting hit by the dragon. Also, once you have the stacis up, you can't die to go back to spawn, because the pearl will disappear. If you wanna see someone do it, I will highly recommend this video from Zylanox (I'll try to put a link here)
I feel like he still should, that would definitely be a first for hermitcraft

I wonder if he can see KurtJMac along the way
My first thought after Doc announces he's travelling 30,000,000 blocks: I hope he brings the resources to make a return cannon.
To travel to the farlands: speed-of-light railgun that uses a quantum-entangled pig that's both in a minecart 16 chunks away getting bumped by 600 boats and right next to you waiting to be mounted.
To go back: flint and steel.
@@PhoenixClank Or some kinetic energy of the vertical variety, lol
@PhoenixClank yeah but it's gotta be an automatic flint and steel rube Goldberg machine that has Pigs in minecarts traveling around activating different things that almost kill him but then at the end it just lights the ground under him on fire
@@samadkins6727 Nah, I was just commenting what he actually uses in the video. The contrast is what makes it funny.

At least the interim chunks aren't generated, and thereby saved (at least the overworld side of things. I'm not sure about the nether stuff aside from the charger/launcher apparatus.)
Is it sad if I heard that line in an X voice
Everyone else on the server: Permits.
Doc: Pig Railgun.
Permits and horns. Don't forget the horns.
Oh no, poor Scar. Well, that's on him for using redstone devices he doesn't understand =)
The tunnelling machine has been avenged. Now all Doc has to do is yeet Grian after him.
@@Nyerguds Why not all of the Hermits who come for his lands?
@@Nyerguds No! We have seen once, what those two will do, when they are together without supervision and that was in a place, adults could reach them. Do we realy want to find out, what they will do in a land no one can get them in time? XD
Payback from last season
I'm wondering if it's that there's some variability to the cannon (even a 0.01% error would result in a 400 block divergence) or if that chunk got auto-pruned in the interim.
Hermits out here being like: this season we're taking it slow.
Doc: I've built a faster than light engine.
1/4 of the speed of light, according to what he told Scar.
@@thomasfplm which is still like 7.5 *million* meters per second, so his math is a bit off.

With Doc a term like "when pigs fly" gets entirely another meaning.
You should turn it into a tourism experience for the other hermits to visit the world border and charge them for it xD Maybe build a tourist center and a viewing platform over there haha.
But the only German tourist is doc himself. But he is still embarrassed by it so we probably won't see it a second time.
Grian could run the travelpermit center
He could even have an ender Pearl stasis chamber for the hermit tourists. He couldn't use it himself but after he dies and respawns he could activate it.
As sort of a premium experience. Maybe he could set them up temporarily at hermit bases for when they go. So they pop right back home.
@@edwardscott32622no2name has a wireless redstone machine that uses synchronized repeaters. Doc used it last season to remotely fire the supersonic arrow. He could definitely activate a stasis pearl from the world border.
2 words. Gift shop.
All I can think about is how the rest of the hermits earlier in the season were all excited about going 800+ blocks high on a pig in a boat.... Once again Doc just watches and says: "Hold my beer". Cheers Doc, I expected nothing less.
Etho: I totally brain farted this season and I need you to exile me.
Doc: Hold my pig.
Tango and Etho better start building you a mailbox connection out there ;)
I know this is a joke, but you got me curious just how silly this would be to do. Math done quick, but close enough hopefully! If a minecart needs to travel 4 million blocks, it would take almost 6 days for the mail to arrive to the farlands at 8 blocks per second. Assuming they need one chunkloader for every 3 chunks traveled they would need to build about 83333 of them. Besides the 4 million rails you are also looking at something like a million obsidian (Etho needs those corners closed after all), and similar crazy amounts of the various other redstone components etc to build all the loaders.
@@zifster or just build what doc build using a boat with chest or a horse with chest instead of the pig...
@@davidpugh8772 I had that thought as well but it's less fun to calculate. It would be an interesting challenge to build a reliable 2 way auto charging and firing mail system for long range communications. I guess you could call it a "mailgun" instead of "railgun" :D Of course the comment I was replying to was about what Etho and Tango would build rather than the hivemind/doc.
When sending a letter in minecraft takes as long as sending a letter in real life
I am imagining Xisuma pruning chunks for server performance puzzled to see chunks millions of blocks away being loaded
I imagine he sighs fellowed by a faint “Doc it’s always Doc” under his exasperated breath
“Doc, you’re already giving me a headache and the season started 3 months ago!”
7:14 I like how the "I don't like to do anything" has become a running joke.

Kurtjmac!! He was in Mindcrack with Doc.
This is a pretty funny comment :)
@@docm77 OK so obviously it isn't the point of FLoB, the same way using the nether isnt, but could you build this thing in Beta 1.7.3? Like, pistons were a bit different, boats were a bit different, but those don't seem like the crucial part, it seems like the crucial part is just whether you can desync an entity from whatever it's riding and accelerate it through some means. If you or anyone else gives it a try it'd be so cool!
We didn't know what the heck we were doing back in 2011, like... I remember around that time Etho came up with a QC-based BUD and it was groundbreaking, nobody really understood what QC *was* but it meant BUDs could be reusable instead of water-based things that you had to reset manually! It'd feel so cool to see 2024-level technical experience applied to 2011 redstone.
Art community, PLEASE make a picture of doc riding a pig going Mach Jesus
Love that this is some awkward model of Schrödinger/Heisenberg. The game doesnt know if the pig is in the minecart or by the boats until it the minecart is broken, and velocity was tied (inversley to Heisenberg) directly to the certainty of its position. It truly is quantum pig mechanics.
That's an interesting observation of that usual rule.
The other Hermits are still going to find a way on encroaching on Doc's stuff at the World Border
The worst part is, then he truly has nowhere else to go!
@@PhoenixClank at that point he'll find a way to get to an undiscovered dimension or something obscene like that lol

Looks like Scar already settled there permanently.
Given they're inevitably going to watch this video (or Scar will share his tale of woe in his own video or in their Discord server), they know exactly where the device is which will let them get to the Farlands and how it works, so.... yes, there's probably going to be some settling out there just to mess with him.

That was a pleasant surprise at the end. Scar was the perfect person to do that to as he has amazing reactions to crazy shenanigans like that, and Cub was an amazing person to have with you because… I mean he’s just Cub and Cub is great
Cub is awesome! I’d bet that he went to save Scar after that. 😂
Tango and Etho: Creates a mail delivery system with Nether portals.
Doc: Creates quantum tunneling.
I am sure you didnt mean that in a negative way, but you have to keep in mind, Doc mostly brings other peoples design to the server, while Etho and Tango build their own stuff. Of course its not as technical but it is original 🙂
@@Daniel-rd6st Oh of course. I didn't mean to like, undermine the geniuses of Etho or Tango. They are redstone experts in their own right. I just like the idea of Doc seemingly going into unhinged territory with the Redstone contraptions he and his hivemind conjures up. Like, forego ethics or what have you, straddling the line of safety of the server itself in the process.
What I'm trying to say I guess is that Doc's Redstone seem so much more dangerous than whatever masterpieces Tango and Etho creates.
@Daniel-rd6st Tango's factory is also someone else's design, there's absolutely no reason to be putting down one against the other here
@@didi81_ No its not, unless you can show me a copy of Tangos factory from another player. Tango used known components and build his factory out of them, yes. As he did with Decked Out or with the Mailsystem. Doc often uses designs created by the "hivemind" and copys them mostly block for block, there is a big difference there. And i dont want to throw anyone under the bus, i just added my comment because Trytix comment can be read, that Doc creates better stuff than Tango and Etho, which is not true, they just do different things.
Doc is an 100% grinder who uses hermitcraft to showcase what is possible in minecraft and also always credits the creators of the builds he showcases. I think he does a great job at what he does.
Etho is an innovator who often comes up with new contraptions, like recently his trident farm for example, which, as far as i know, is an original build.
Tango mostly combines stuff that is figured out (like the binary encoders/decoders in his factory) and creates great contraptions like decked out, though he also creates new builds by doing so, like his card randomizer in decked out, that has caused him so much grief, for example.
Lol at the end with Scar. Quantum physics is a game of chance; roll the dice and be prepared to die!

I truly hope Cub turns that into the next Horn of the Month!
This is also a great tribute to TFC. What Tin Foil Hat Chief started with his solo ride to the End of Minecraft has been completed by Docm77 with the magic of quantum pig cannon technology. I'd like to think that this being done so that your could be by yourself is not just the most Hermit thing possible, but the something that TFC would have enjoyed.

aaaah that's what that was
Lmao it looked like his vision was blue shifting (for context, when you travel at near light speeds your vision starts doing funny things, things coming towards you look blue, and stuff going away looks more red)
A world where Docs technical genius would combine with Grians mischief, would be truly scary... I'm also convinced it would result in Mumbos base flying to the world border
I love how Scar is the one that always gets hit with Doc's crazy contraptions. First the arrow cannon and now this. XD
That's one way to deal with your problems, send them 4 million blocks away.
At the beginning of Seaoson 10 Mumbo Jumbo built a base that he needed to die to get into... now Doc has a Farlands base that you need to die to get back from? Mumbo Jumbo is clearly 10 steps ahead of the technical game with his thinking. First he predicted Warp Boat Stacking technology with the Boatem Pole in Season 8 and now we learn that he dropped a hint (months in advance btw) predicting Doc's Farland project? He probably even put a pig in a boat at some point, clearly as a prelude to the Hivemind's breakthrough in reaching the Far lands.
Don't forget his extremely efficient slime farm from season 9 as well
@@RetroBlockadethat was season 9

A true hermit lives outside of the world border. You can do it, Doc.
Technically you don't even need to use the flying pig to get back to world boarder after the first time. You can just build a chunk loader + ender pearl stasis chamber activated by wireless redstone.
I was thinking the same thing.
you would need to charge it somehow after each server restart though
Doc is the only person I've seen using the term "quantum" in a way that makes sense. The parallel of manipulating entity states is very reminescent of quantum states. Very well chosen for a name.

A solitary new beginning fare, fare away
Poor KurtJMac, walking to the far lands when he could just use crazy quantum redstone to catapult there like Doc! Far lands or bust!
Watching the progress of these videos is like watching NASA sending rockets into space, slowly with unmanned objects, then animal tests, then human trials. Next will be mass population commuting via these warp drives. You're writing your own science fiction novel into science fact, Doc! After watching that travel, it was like that scene in Contact where she's flying through the wormhole and narrating what she's seeing and experiencing. This was magical to watch Doc WOW!
So how I understand it is that this makes the Pig Boats exist in two places at the same time to generate energy? That's literally reality breaking levels of technical.
It's a common pattern for glitches in video games.
1. Get entity in state A (pig in minecart)
2. Sneakily transition it into state B in a way the devs didn't realize was possible (pull pig out of minecart using pistonbolt)
3. Because the devs didn't account for this, part of the code treats it as still in state A
4. Do things to the entity that are only possible in state A (make it bump into boats (and TNT) to build up momentum)
5. Fully transition it into state B where the things you previously did have a cumulative effect (break minecart, all the momentum gets applied at once, pig takes off)
Step 3 is the actual glitch/programming oversight in this.
Ah yes, the Farlands, what a nostalogic term to many minecrat players. One very well known by our friend KurtJMac, you know the guy that's been walking there for 12 years, lost a pet wolf along the way, friends with DocM77. Yeah that guy.
Meanwhile Doc, let me get there in 3 seconds, see you there Kurt! *Laughs manically *
All fun and games obviously lol XD
This is like being sent to another planet via cryoship, and arriving just to find that there's already people there because the warp drive was invented while you were traveling.
Doc mentioning my all time favorite sci-fi series, Stargate, gave me so much joy.
Just to put it into context. 30,000,000 blocks is 30,000km. He travelled the horizontal distance in roughly 40 seconds, which works out to be 750km a second. The speed of light is 300,000km a second. He was moving 1/400 the speed of light during his travel.
That's overworld to overworld though, Nether end he only travelled ~4 million blocks (4,000 km), so 1/3200 the speed of light.
Not quite his claim at 55:54 of 1/4, but still pretty quick!
so he wasn't going 25% the speed of light, but 2.5%. Sounds like someone did the math for him but made a miscalculation.
@@korenn9381 Thinking about it more, I think he mightve been doubly wrong.
30,000,000 blocks is only 30,000 km looking at it again. So everything is off by a factor of ten in my original comment (I've corrected it now). He was going 1/400 the speed of light
Plus, he travelled 30 million blocks total, overworld to overworld. But in the Nether side (where the pig actually flew) he only travelled 4 million blocks. So at 55:54, when he said that scar was going 1/4 light speed, he was actually only going 1/(400 x 8) light speed.
@@sakikogookhengwhy multiply that 400 by 8? I think this is an error. 4 million blocks traversed in the nether is 32 million in the overworld, this is where the multiplication by 8 occurs; crunching the numbers, it’s 1/375 light speed.
1/3200 suggests that Scar for some reason went comparatively slow which doesn’t make sense. The apparent increase in speed I have is because the distance is the only thing that changes, with a slight increase. I’m guessing that’s what the distinction between ‘overworld to overworld’ (30M blocks) and ‘nether side’ (32M) is.
0.0025 or 0.0027…not 0.25 as Doc said but he probably misread it.
@@limmeh7881 because he was travelling 1/8 of the distance, so he travelled 8 times slower. He did 1/8 of 1/400, or 1/(400 * 8)
The Goat in MCC will be EPIC!!
There's a shipwreck near the world border that would be a great lore
The Black Pearl reaching the World’s End!
Doc slipped the surly bonds of spawn, and touched the face of The Goatmother.
Doc be like: "Marty, I just send you to the future!" Marty: "Yes, doctor, but now I´m back, I´ve returned from the future!"
🤣🤣
doc... your storage area should be build as an rebellion carrier with X- and Y-wing starting.. to fight the deathstar over shopping district...and the fightes shoul be nearer and nearer every week :D
Doc would build a 1:1 Venator Star destroyer in less than a week
That would be insane. Just a fleet of ships
Farlands? More like FarmLands. Untouched riches primed for the taking.
You could build with cobble… or build with farland cobble!
Or build with slab blocks!
Colonialism: Minecraft Edition
Was anyone else expecting Grian to show up on the other side when the quantum pig loaded in? Grian: Whatcha doin' Doc?
Only in a Docm77 video can you hear the phrases "quantum boats" and "Hypercharged Schrödinger's Pig" without being confused. What a absolute joy.
Also quite possibly the coolest way possible to get the "Postmortal" achievement. Who else can say they got it from riding a "Hypercharged Schrödinger's Pig"?
I still get goosebumps from the intro
Bought it on bandcamp for my ringtone. 2nd to none.
