- This is my new car, a 2008 Saturn Vue XR. This video was just to show how everything on the car was when I purchased it, and it will be used as a reference for future things I will be doing to it.
I know this video isn't the greatest, as it's my first real tour video, but I plan to make every video better and better.
I just looked at one of these, golden cashmere in color. It's sharp! And it only has 65,000 miles on it. I may be getting it. Your video makes me even more excited about it.
You should definitely get it! They are very nice cars! Mine now has 84,000 on it and I've had no issues with it so far.
😍They looks nice, but are they good SUV?
Bought mine from my job for 300 bucks and had problems from the start had to change the starter alternator and tune it up! After all that it still wasn't right wouldn't get over 40 and found out the Catalytic converter was plugged so I put it off and put a sleeve on it and it's been running great ever since definitely a great car to get from a to b in!!!
Sounds like whoever had it before forgot to change the plugs and ran it that way for a while lol... but they are great cars
Ric Philly I think my alternator was bad on my car for years. My catalytic converter could have been a problem too but I don’t know much about them. There were so many electrical problems and in the end the gears slipped. I had to turn the car off to stop it and restart. I also had to be careful not to gun the engine and it would try to slip gears if I went over a certain speed. It finally died and I was told the transmission and alternator were bad among other things. I just got a new car. I loved my Saturn from 2008 until 2020.
Is it still running okay?
@@polyjuicepotion3672 it’s still running okay my ac stopped working think the compressor locked up! But it’s still running strong definitely reliable!👍🏾💯
I bought mine a little over 2 years ago. Though it had the I4 with FWD. Its still my baby. Thinking about doing a video on it when the weather gets nicer. I plan on getting work done on it and having it detailed. #ForeverSaturn!
My goodness it has lots of great and useful features 🤯❤️
Yeah if it is a 2008 year it has nice features that none other car has
I would've loved to have heard the update on how the vehicle has lasted you!
probably broken and in the junk yard.
I got a Saturn vue 2008 v6 engine and im at 200k miles no serious issues just brakes and rotors changed one in a while and the car push i be racing with it
Thank you thank you thank you thank you I watch a lot of videos of cars and people showing and doing tours of them and no one almost no one shows that the car has power seats they get excited and they go over everything but Power seats
There is also a good sized storage under the passenger seat
This was a good video, especially being your first!
I'll be making some new videos in the next coming weeks for sure, stay tuned!
I have this car. Really great vehicle!
Jonathan Hayes They're pieces of shit. Wait till you have to change your third brake light.
Velo Hench it’s just a brake light lol
does it have bluetooth
2009 does from the factory
This was my first car. My mom bought it in 2009 before saturn went out of business, and then She gave it to me in 2013 when i got my drivers license. It was a great car until it started to break a lot. Even chevy couldnt fix it properly anymore so we sold it for a honda CRV.
Great video lots of useful information and great tour!!!❤️❤️
In Brazil and Mexico, the Saturn Vue is known as Chevrolet Captiva.
When Saturn GM brand ended in 2010, they want the Saturn Vue back to become Chevrolet Captiva in the USA (not available in Canada but Canada has Saturn Vue from 2008 - 2010).
Built in Mexico and South Korean / German GM parts
2012 Chevrolet Captiva with US license plates driven in some Canadian roads and seen them in New York and Florida.
i just test drove one with 190k miles for $2200 and i’m kinda on the fence about getting it mostly because of the miles. What would u say are the pros and cons of this car ?
I really enjoyed mine. It's a solid car, and I wouldn't let the miles scare me, especially for the price. If it was well maintained its got a lot of life in it still
Did you get it?
Hey, does this car have an aux cord or anything similar to that or is that something that you would have to install?
Yes, it's on the radio itself
Nice looking suv. Are those fiberglass bodies like the other smaller saturns were?
Hey i've been looking for that kind of car that looks SWEET! i'm from Michigan too 😉 can u tell me what dealership did you find it? have you had any bad problems with it ?
How did it hold up when u had it? I know this year is said to have a lot of transmission issues..
Mine held up great, never had any real issues with it at all.
Your radio was programmed to Indianapolis channels. I just bought mine. It's 🙂
I loved that car, I’m actually looking to get another when I sell my Avalanche, by far one of my favorite cars
i want one of these now instead of the 07 3.5. looks like you're in the portland area too by the looks of it?
I'm actually in Southeastern Michigan, but I'd imagine they're rather similar.
JM811Cars only guessed that cause of the radio stations that were preset lol
Brian French I was thinking the same thing 😂
Car geek 101 learned something new about radio stations basically lol
I live near your area and basically have the same car but it’s an XE without the heated seats and it’s a four cylinder
Awesome! It's a really nice car and I love it.
Same here man, I have a blue 08 Vue XE 2.4L, and he's right it is a bit underpowered. But it's lasted me so many years I'm never getting rid of it. Good looking car man!
@@CarlosOrtiz-ht6rn Still going strong?
Interior like Yugo 2020
Mi mamá tiene esa, le salio en 3 mil dólares muy bien cuidadas, pero placas USD
Y que tal salen
Cool extra light lol
Would you choose a 04 Vue with 29k miles or the 08 with 69k miles? I’m between both but like the look of the 08 better
I'd go with the 08
I wouldn't buy a Saturn period. There is a reason they went out of business......
@@jakelance6 because of the recession on 2008 and GM needing a government bailout.
@@jakelance6 dont just hop online and say random things bro lol
Saturn almost made it, but GMC just HAD to stay even though they make the same exact crap as chevy.. identical
I'm looking at one with about 78k miles on it...how reliable would you say this car is?
If you maintain them, they'll last forever.
@@JM811Cars Does the 08 VUE AWD have the v6 honda engine in it?
@@polyjuicepotion3672 no, that's 2004-2007
Did the trunk lights stay on for quite awhile even when the car was turned off?
Mine turned off with the dome lights
@@JM811Cars Mine stay on for a couple minutes after I turn of the car and go to walk away. Would you know why that might be? It's okay if you don't, just thought I'd ask.
@@gracemariemccurdy773 might be the trunk latch, does it say its open when you drive?
@@JM811Cars No, but it stays on even when driving. I'm thinking I might just have to remove the light fuses so it doesn't drain the battery, cause it stalls for a second when I go to start the car.
Gracemarie McCurdy Is your alternator ok? My car was acting up for years and it just died a little over a week ago. I had to get a new car. There were a lot of weird electrical things happening over the years. I suspect the alternator was bad for a long time. Eventually the transmission started slipping gears. It was making awful sounds. Maybe have them check your alternator, which controls so many things electrical and with starting the engine. I wish I started looking for new cars way in advance but I didn’t have the time. In the end the car needed a new transmission, alternator, had an exhaust leak, and after that I stopped listening. I loved that car soooo much.
a keeper
3:19 nice horn
No Brasil 🇧🇷 é chamada de Chevrolet Captva
Also in the USA.
Is the Honda 3.5 vue redline or is this one faster?
Car geek 101 Its hard for me to tell tbh... they're very close. This one feels faster just because the transmission is car smoother, and handles far better.
Thats good to know, I personally like the styling of the newer one better and I might want to get one some day and im a Honda fan boy and was like gotta have that j35 but since you mention handling I reconsider lol.
Car geek 101 I mean don't get me wrong, they both handle great for what they are. The second gen is actually the Opel Antara, and well those Europeans like to travel fast and have good handling, and you definitely can tell
Are the hybrid 2.4l version good?
From what I've seen, they're pretty reliable. Plus you get a little added power from the hybrid system in the already solid 2.4L
Has the same horn as the 06 Tahoe lol
Do you still own this vehicle?
I do not, no
You still got her?
Sadly no, I sold it and got a 2013 Lincoln MKZ
@@JM811Cars Why did you sell it?
@@polyjuicepotion3672 I sold it cause I wanted the lincoln lol
Great Video!! How much did u pay for it? I seen theres around 80,000 miles on it.
Jonathan E Bare $7000 with 72,400
Thanks! I read you live in southeast MI. I do too. Im looking at one of these with 113,000 for $5,000.
What dealership did you buy if from if you did? Thanks again!
Jonathan E Bare Suburban Subaru of Troy is where I got it
JM811Cars go to legends motors in Detroit on state fair and John R. They a white one I left a deposit on but they have a couple more
I have a 3.6 a 3.5 is in the older models.
The 3.5 was also avaliable in the 2008-10 XE AWD models. It's the 3500 from like the impala
Needs more intake!
BlakesCars2 I agree... It's too quiet
The Same Chime like a Chevy Impala 2006-2013
It looks like a copied model of the chevy captiva
Vue was out before the Captiva Sport in the US
The passenger seat in this vehicle is not power.
No, it isn't
Did you have any issues with this car?
I had one issue with the trunk ground but that was it, like whenever the resr defroster was on it'd spray washer fluid. Easy fix
GMC TERRAIN in the Middle East
proof he in my city:97.9 The Box
My mom is going to get this car
MSVTV Awesome! She's gonna love it I'd imagine!
JM811Cars I'd love if u can tell us what's in the tire fix thing in the trunk
MSVTV I'll make an update video tomorrow!
MSVTV Well, I recorded an update video today, for 2 cars actually, but my camera was acting up and the footage was basically useless... I will be recording a new one tomorrow and hopefully get better luck with the footage.
Just a rebagged Vauxhall Antara
Yeah
@@JM811Cars it’s clear beacuse my dad owned a Vauxhall Antara
Different dashboard design

Lol now it’s a vauxhull 😂😂
Yep also it's going to Opel too
Daewoo and Holden
Why are your hands shaking
It was stabilized with old RUclips's built in stabilizer, so it shakes really weird
This car looks so bad, it looks like poor people's car
How? It’s 14 going on 15 years old. I think this design has held up extremely well, and still doesn’t look old today.
It's built by Koreans
Points at ECU and calls it an "ABS pump" hahahahaha!!!!
Hilarious
Nice looking suv. Are those fiberglass bodies like the other smaller saturns were?
They are not, they are metal panels sadly
Nice looking suv. Are those fiberglass bodies like the other smaller saturns were?
On the 2002-2007 Vue it had the polymer bodies that you're talking about, 2008 they got rid of them
