Nice trick using bungees to suspend the A/C compressor! No disconnecting refrigerant lines & evacuating freon...that just inspired me to do this power steering pump myself, thanks!!!
Left out the best part! (Breaking the pulley).
Im saying
This video helped out a lot, but the only thing that I didn't find necessary was removing the tire to get to the return line. I removed it without removing the tire and it was pretty simple.
Can wait to save up money and try this with my dad
wow that is sooo clean for a 94, here all the aluminum parts oxidize so fast ,damn salt, great vid :)
Hell ya man I was really surprised. But hey only 124000 miles now.
hanksranger wow thats not to bad my trucks got 335,000 km whatever that is in miles and its an 03

Just picked up an 94 Aerostar with the same engine. Gonna have to do this soon, it's a growler.
Mine has been whining for years but it's time to do it even though she still pumps great. Did you get yours done? I think it will be hard with our vans than the truck.
@@RemmikRotus did you ever end up replacing yours?
@@PineRidgeHomestead Nope. Ended up selling her as is.

Hi...I only see my last post when logged in ...so not sure if you see it.....anyway.... what is the recommended bleeding procedure for these....wheel turn bleeding... or bleeder device
I’ve always done wheel turn bleeding never used a tool or device for it
excellent video thanks
about to change out my pump, and after watching this i thought to myself, cant you just remove the pulley while the pump is still in the car and then remove the three bolts holding the pump to the bracket, and then remove pump, instead of removing the whole bracket assembly? Im going to try it this way and see if i can get the pump out.
Brian Galeano who'd it go?
All that talk for nothing.....
How many o-rings does the high pressure line have? The new pump I bought has a nylon o-ring that goes on the outer side of the threads, but it also come with a smaller rubber o-ring that I'm not sure I even need. Does that smaller rubber o-ring go in the nipple of the hose?
Clay Hebert how did the rings fit? I'm installing my new pump tomorrow
Did ya guys ever figure it out?
i just did one with the orignal pully and theres a screw that the factory leaves in if you remove that first you wont need to buy a new pully
Can a floor jack do damage to a power steering hose?
if the jack presses the hose against something solid yes it can, or if its an aluminum line they can be bent
Thanks, Dude!
Do you have to take the pully on other cars you have worked on? I have never heard of this ,that annoy me.
I think the malibu does too. It's not a big deal takes like 5 min.
eh true but i dont think it should be that way im just sayin id be dissapointed if i had to do it ,
Ya
that's because you don't work on very many cars

Jorge Cortes no problemo
Brake fluid is not looking good.
Shouldn't you be using Dex/Merc 3 as fluid?
