my Earliest admission date is may but my class start June and I have not seen any date on my portal
If your class starts June, I will say keep looking and don’t give up or you can request emergency. You can only request emergency if you have a date that is farther than June

I've come to realise that waiting is one of the most difficult things to do and couple with the anxiety, people tend to make such decision as applying for emergency appointment or purchasing date with money.

I need to understand this should i book first and then maybe this when i can get opening maybe.

Join groups, you won’t see dates until you cancel the existing appointment. But don’t cancel it

You can apply for emergency once it is within 60days

Hello, your video made sense. Can one change the date himself after been given a farer date by using the reschedule tab when you see a favorable date instead of using emergency appointment?

Yes, although you can only reschedule once!

Because it’s a visitor’s visa, you can’t expedite it. I will say keep looking

hi, please I had initially applied for a us tourist visa and got an appointment date for June 2025, but now I have admission to resume my masters this august 2024. do I cancel my initial appointment for the tourist visa or do I try rescheduling the appointment? thank you!

Yea you are right. All the paid agents do is check painstakingly.
But no everyone might have the time to sit day and night on this portal. Hence a need is created. Then those who can satisfy that need are paid i.e staying on your portal to ensure they get you a date have to be rewarded (paid) cos tbh it's painstaking.
I honestly don't see anything bad in paying someone to get me a date. Someone actually did for me.
I'm just saying though
If paying someone works for you and you have the money, why not? I am talking about people that feel pressured. I think it’s okay to be honest with them that the agents do the same thing.

Oooo my goodness, thank you very much for this guide. I almost went crazy when I wanted to schedule appointment. 1st January 2024 was the nearest date , I got confused. I will keep checking hopefully a better day (earlier) pops up

Ideally, you can apply for Emergency starting June, but I know people apply prior to and they get approved.

Nope! You need to state your case. I have seen people in community colleges here that got their visa accepted and I have also seen people that wanted to come to university that got their visa denied. It depends on how you are stating your case

for the little knowledge i have, if u have applied and submitted your DS 160 form, schedule for the normal date available then after that, you can keep checking through the site by rescheduling date which will be showing available dates. you need to be checking midnight or early morning just as she mentioned in the video but note that there is a limited time u can reschedule
