    Great information. Thank you from the Mojave Desert. I hope to grow it here. It is so beautiful when in blooms. Did you make your video about how to grow it from cuttings?

    hello and thank you for your video, I am buying one for a gift for my sister, but I noticed only 2 in the nursery and their foliage is not very dark ....is there something wrong with the plant, if it hasn't got a nice shiny dark green foliage in winter (we in Australia are in full winter in June/july. We saw it as a climber at a neighbour and the flowering is gorgeous hope my sister can look after it, in a sunny part shade area. Please reply how foliage can be improved. I bought it today

      @Urbanscapegardening  4 года назад

      I don't think it has a shiny dark green foliage...the foliage is a lil pale green...but the shine is intact...if u want dark green color a little bit of shade would help but reduce blooming

      Hi Dijo, this plant is a winter blooming plant. Add lots of fertilizer during the summer months for it prepare for the winter. Give it full sun. Minimal sunlight will give no blooms. Hope this helps.

    Sir I bought this plant 25-30 days back (March, 2019) but I can't see any difference in growth however the leaves look green and healthy I have Alamanda too and i can see the difference in growth so just wanted to know how fast it grows and if it's a fast growing vine then is it because of root bound issue or I just need to wait

    Purchased recently Sankranti vine ( Begonia Venusta ) from a local nursery in Delhi. It is planted in pot having red soil probably from Bangalore. How do I transfer to 22" pot ( don't have ground - hence using pot ).. What should I do with red soil. Please give details of potting mix to be used. Should I remove red soil before transplanting or plant along with red soil root ball. Please advise. I stay in DELHI-NCR pl

      Don't do anything with the soil. Use potting mix of coco peat 30 pc 20 pc compost and 50 pc sand.

      Thanks for a Prompt reply. Potting Mix proposed is a mixture of Coco Peat + Sand + Vermicompost. No local Garden Soil from my terrace garden. Normally Begonia Venusta is a creeper ideal for planting in ground of a garden that means in soil of the ground of the garden. But no soil proposed in potting mix. Somehow I feel potting mix must contain local garden soil as well. Some proportion of potting mix should be local garden soil. Pl advise

      In a container you control the media...in the ground the ground controls everything. That's the basic difference. So u can add garden soil but less

      Hello. Please add a lot of organic matter or vermicompost. Since this flowers during the winter months, you have to fertilize this through the summer months. Exposure to sunlight also helps.
