Mixed results on console guys. It works in that you can make a corrupt save file but the effects can be either the same or less impressive, just from what people in comments say.

The results are the same, as i just tested it 1 hour ago on my PS4.
Forget it. When you load the game it glitches and sends you to black screen where you can't do anything, not even go to the menu or try going online

About that north yankton voice line. If you go to north yankton that has a map with mods. And you have a mission where you have to park the getaway car some where discreet. And north yankton counts as a place where you can park the car. And when the getaway car is ready. and you call lester/Franklin and when they ask where is the car located. Michael will actually say north yankton. I tried it with native trainer.

maybe its there because there used to be taxis roaming around North Yankton in bury the hatchet because people sometimes get curious in games and ditch the normal route
@@biggiecheese7926 or maybe youre allowed to go to North Yangton in a Cut Script of the game.
Every destination or and location are in a folder for the taxis so if you want to go somewhere the character will say the exact location where you want to go
Probably a bit of miscommunication between teams. Theres most likely a list of locations the characters speak in for the taxis, and one of those is North Yankton obviously, but they didnt know if North Yankton wasn't even gonna be used that much.

The reason he is above the water is because he is standing where North Yankton would be if it were loaded. Since it isn't loaded he is just standing there unable to move or do anything.

@Robin Hogan What's more, all the phones have the exact same menu model, just with different skins. The Prologue phone is no different, why have a duplicate model with slightly limited functionally?

In my opinion this isn't really fascinating. That's because I think they just copy pasted the code/script/whatever for the other phones and changed it's texture to an old one. And they restricted the other functions, as mentioned above.
15:14 I think the same case goes for Franklin since he also has a voiceline in the files saying this despite him not being in North Yankton at all in the game.

The most boring gta 5 speedrun ever
I'm guessing since the location the characters tell the taxi driver to go to is based on the text displayed in the bottom right corner at that location, one developer simply took all the location names from the list of all the strings in the game and sent them to be recorded. Perhaps that developper wasn't even told much about the game and which locations actually need to be recorded in practice or he played it safe in case design changes were to happen eventually. Better to have extra recorded lines than to be missing some and having to wait for them to be recorded.
@@techied It also serves as a safeguard. It's better for a voiced line to never be heard than for a crash to happen due to a missing asset in a very rare occasion like this where the line would need to be played.
Mabye you were originally supposed to be able to go to north yankton
It's still programmed in because cutting assets from the files can often lead to bugs in themselves. Easier to leave a recorded voice line in the game than risk breaking any other code that points to it.
@@Reichsleiter Probably the same person that gave the list that implemented it. 99% sure it's the same code that governs all locations. It checks which location is selected then pulls the right line based on the character and a dictionary or something similar that matches the character's lien with the location.
The interesting thing is it sent him to the docks, which I don't think is the closest location to North Yankton, implying at some point they may have been considering a ferry feature to North Yankton.
_Okay, I've done this for myself and after messing around for it for about two hours in 2 separate sessions, I found 4 things that I had to share with ya'll!_
*_1 - Not always the vehicle you're in with Franklin when you create the corrupted save file is completely stationary._*_ out of the 3 times I loaded the save, in one of them, I was able to drive the car I was in when the save was created._
*_2 - Franklin's invincibility will go away once you switch to Michael and then switch back to Franklin._*_ After having some fun with Franklin, I switched to Michael for a while and then back to Franklin, and after I did that, Franklin started taking damage again._
*_3 - When on a Bike, for a certain amount of time, independently of what you hit, Franklin will not fall off._*_ I was running away from the cops and for a couple of minutes, no matter what I did, Franklin would not fall off the bike for some odd reason, it happened everytime I picked up a new bike._
*_4 - The Prologue mission never started for me._*_ In all of my tests, I switched to Michael to explore a bit of North Yankton, but for me, Prologue never started, I'd just continue playing with him normally. Although the car he was using was a taxi._

I did this, Franklin was invincible until you go busted or switched characters, I could only switch to Michael and when I did he just got out of the taxi and didn’t go to north Yankton. I loaded my normal save back up and turned on auto save, game was normal. Exited GTA V . Opened again and my screen would go black every couple seconds for a second. When the game loaded I was saved under my normal slot but I only had Franklin and Michael and no money, just like the glitched version. Save file was called Franklin And Lamar ? So now I have a game that’s constantly flashing no matter what even during loading screen and even if I have GTA running in the background. Also lost my game that was at 75%. Anyone else had issues ??

Maybe originally there was a plan to have North Jankton be a place you can travel to after you beat the game, which was eventually scrapped. This is very probable, since the taxi has an exact street as destination. Also, I'm surprised no one found the voice line while going through the game files

12:15 When you spawn as franklin far away above the water stuck in place, you can use the Fall From The Sky cheat to free yourself. At this point you can't interact with any land. But getting into a vehicle and getting out fixes this.

from the story, we learn Michael needed to leave, so Rockstar had no reason to create a safehouse and a way to reach it from Los Santos in North Yankton
And that voiceline was created for whoever would mod the game to gain acces to North Yankton

So, that's what happened in my PS3 GTA when I did this glitch:
- I saved after Fresh Meat (in replay) as Franklin near his house and loaded it.
- "GRAND THEFT AUTO V" popped up as if prologue was just completed.
- Game freezed in black screen
So I reloaded the game.
- I loaded as Michael near Franklin's house.
- This was the first time textures loaded THAT slow.
- The "autosave" popped up, I declined it.
- Michael changed to Franklin
Game started to behave as in Viper's video, except one thing, I didn't see prologue.
I am trying to explore the corruption, or reload the save, and make an update.
Oh, and a random pedestrian car was in Frank's garage. I mean, literally.
It was halfway in the garage and halfway outdoors.
And my Menu button stopped working.
After the call after Repossesion, I got a call after Complications. Trying to meet with Michael resulted in BUSY.
I changed to Michael.Start button still didn't work, BUT the switch cutscene was normal, except one fact: the car that was pretending to be Michael's was... a taxi.
I got busted, and Start button started working. I got a wanted level and went to the tattoo shop (which should not been unlocked) to lose stars. It worked as if Mr. Philips was already completed. Nice. If you don't know why I lost wanted level you better go check DarkViper's facts and glitches series. Then I decided to load the save file again.
No prologue again. GTA V and black screen again.
Redid Fresh Meat and saved. After loading the save file again, the "grand theft auto v" showed again, and black screen. Nah.

Fresh meat is the most bugged mission. There are a lot of glitches that work only thank to Fresh Meat

@@SubbyyyyI know you are being sarcastic, but I was pointing out that the prologue happens 4 years before the "current time" in the game. It's an older phone because it happens 4 years prior to the main timeline in the game.

As a glitcher this corrupt save opens up a boatload of possibilities for GTA Online glitches, including the most damming of all, the casino glitch and frozen money glitch.

Secret ending of GTA5: 14:12 , the ending where Michael dies in North Yankton.
Edit: Yes, I know there's an ending where Michael dies, but he doesn't die in North Yankton.
My best guess for the taxi dialogue is that it can be normally encountered if you use a taxi during Bury The Hatchet (can’t confirm), or it’s from cut content involving North Yankton.
Just to let you know, it's possible you can fly to North Yankton from Los Santos. I think it would work in the broken los santos. It's in the distance bottom right of the map if I recall correctly. There used to be a glitch years ago where all you had to do was load up a mission in North Yankton and then go to online and you would be able to fly to north yankton with your friends. This was shortly after the game came out though

No it doesn't work
this glitch ended up allowing the most op glitch in gta online, in april 2020 a glitch was found to merge story mode and online, allowing you to freeze your online character's chips account in the casino, which means you could cash the chips millions of times in a row and make billions.

1.get Michael to be drunk like wiggling screen and do some yoga Michael's animations will change
2.In the bike park in south LS where the bikers will not run away there is a net where the character will have the same effect like the sign in sandy shores.

After getting Franklin frozen in place I was able to get him moving using the skyfall cheat.
I used director mode from interaction menu. Worked great

Well after playing with it today, I've noticed you can't tell what to expect when you load in each time. It's very random with what you have access to and where it spawned you in at. Very strange
To add onto this glitch, you can combine story mode with director mode and do some whacky stuff. When Simeon calls Franklin hang up and go into director mode from the interaction menu, enter as any actor and then kill your actor. Once you die go into story mode and when Simeon calls answer, pause and launch director mode from the rockstar editor menu.
Now you’re in a story mode/director mode world where you can switch characters as in story mode or even play as your online character in the single player world. Ammunition and clothing shops are open but you can only buy things as the three protagonists. There are also weapon and health/armor pickups which are not normally in director mode. Check it out.
You can even change the world ambient settings since it’s combined with director mode so you can change the weather, disable cops, you can even use cheats, which is another thing you cannot normally do in director mode. You can even place props and request vehicles.

this glitch here is the most fun ive had in gta 5 in quite a while, u can also mess with outfits, first, go to a protagonists wardrobe, then choose an outfit, then open up the director mode menu and switch to another protaginist (idk what happens if u do it with an online character) and u can get some crazy outfits, like missing legs, crazy clothing combonations that u cant normally create (randomizer type crap), then heres another really fun thing u can do, u can exit the glitched director mode as another character and u can use weapons, drive cars and enter first person with ANY character (including animals, but u cant use first person as animals)

This is pretty interesting, I tried this on my Xbox 360 a few days ago and most of the stuff you showed here was the same. Other than a few differences:
1.I still failed for killing the hostages. But you didn't.
2.I couldn't explore the entire map. It went up to a specific area and failed right before I fell into the void.
3.The phone contacts were still there, Amanda,Dave,Franklin,Cab Co. Etc.
4.Only Trevor had all of his weapons. Specifically the ones I owned in my completed save file. And I could also use the abilities of Michael and Trevor.

6. After the mission was over, the game continued. Meaning I had to do Franklin and Lamar. But there were some obvious changes. Like Franklin's hairstyle and beard that I had selected in my own save file were still applied in this save file. Not only that, Simeon's dealership was closed. I couldn't enter. But the game automatically pushes you into the cutscene. So I managed to progress. After the mission was over, I went into my garage and suddenly my car was upgraded. Exactly like my save file.(It wasn't upgraded before.) There was also a car that I had saved in this garage when I literally had just started the game.
7.The entire map was being shown as explored even though I had just started.
8.All the properties were bought. Michael, Trevor and Franklin's properties were all bought. I was also getting messages from Franklin's properties. But the icon for the Property Management still didn't show up on the map.
9.When I went to Simeon's dealership after his call, his gate was closed. Simeon still yelled out "Franklin!" And Franklin would reply. But the game didn't progress further than that. I had no mission on the map expect Simeon's. Michael and Trevor were still being shown on the switch screen but they weren't available.
10.I was still getting Franklin's weekly money his properties earn.
11.When I finally got into the dealership(via jumping/hitting the wall), the cutscene was a bit bugged. But when I got out of the dealership, Lamar flew up into the air and I fell through the floor. This continued on at least 30 minutes. I got tired and closed the game lol.

so what does it mean?
I managed to do this glitch in combination with the Director Mode and ended up stuck between story mode and director mode. Basically the same as here only with additional Director Mode options like spawning cars, changing location etc.

yeah especially the glitches like these it makes the game kinda creepy because of how things gets changed and how everything doesn't make any sense especially when michael mentions North Yankton when he's in a taxi 15:29 that was extremely weird since you're not allowed to go to NY only if you trigger a mission THAT is supposed to take you to NY, what I mean is that you can't go to NY without using mods or glitches so why does michael has a voice line that mentions NY when he's in taxi? were we supposed to visit NY in anytime in the beta version? we will never know.

I feel like the speedrun for beating the train should involve getting through the game like normal until the first time you can activate the glitch. From there you can then go back in time and beat the train, thus changing history. It's got a nice arc to it and is long enough to allow for a lot of optimizing.
