This is really an IMPORTANT LESSON!!!! The little basics of patch tool are easy to grasp, but the DETAILS of the patch tool and little tricks here are just outstanding!!!! Thanks, Unmesh!!!!!
Based on his accent, english is most likely his secondary language, but yet delivers clear and high quality tutorials that's better than any other channel on RUclips. Very impressive
I've been using PS professionally for over two years now and yet I learn something very useful from every one of your tutorials that I watch. Keep it going my friend, easy to follow and to the point - Thank you!
I am a graphic designer for over 20 years. But still i learn new trick from you. Ever since my photoshop knowledge has grown so much. Thank you so much. Keep up with the tutorials
Why have i never used the patch tool in my life? I have always reconstructed this effect by using differen layers... MIND BLOWN! Also: you explain sooooo well! And you deliver so many small tips as well! Lovely!
I always love it when someone manages to make teaching not boring, time to watch everything you have ever made. Hope you get big, though your target audience is quite small
who wants to spend money on the training center when here is the trainer like you teaching us without money, we're thankful to you, the best tutorial i seen
this is the best and most useful tutorial i've ever watched on youtube, i learned that i've wasted absurd amount of time doing all this with cloning stamp tool, while there was a thousand times easier and more perfect tool for it
You are really a teacher i have learned alot before i knew it is possible but had no one to teach me but as now you have teach millions in just a minute thank you sir
Hahahaha omg 17:30 "that was a noise, just ignore that noise" lol this made my day! (and this tutorial is one of the most comprehensive I've come across in here for the patch tool! Thank you for all your time spent creating these vids... So good!
These indepth tutorials are in an excellent format. You are very clear in speaking and don't skim along what does what. And most important of all for us beginners to ps, you don't rush through. Keep up the good work, and it's very much appriciated. >Liked > Subscribed.
Simply the best tutorial on the patch tool of the many that I have seen so far! Outstanding! You put your heart and soul into teaching and deserve all the success that you have and much, much more.
Thanks for the video! Your grasp of imagery and understanding of the finishing is more than just playing around with Photoshop. I have to be content using gimp due to circumstances and being a senior citizen, but this is not a comparison if you consider my approach. For replacing, or removing, duplicating and "healing" I use the clone tool and smudge tool which also allows adjustment of opacity. A long horizontal railing or fencing member can be deleted using the clone tool starting with pressing control and then shift dragging the cursor to the end. Shift plus control gives perfect right angles Of course adjustments have to be made. One can replace a missing rail section using the smudge tool like above at full opacity. A third eye can be added to a forehead using the clone tool. What you can do with gimp, perhaps can be easily done with Photoshop but gimp does not have things so easy. One has to be downright devious to take full advantage of the software!
Wow such an amazing tool and you're an amazing instructor! You cover everything so thoroughly and clearly. You're truly my go-to for Photoshop tutorials. Thanks a lot and keep up the good work!
Your videos are the BEST. Right now (stuck at home because of the virus) I'm going to dedicate at least an hour a day to studying your videos and working in PS. Thanks so much.
I love the way, you exposed your quirkiness when you said; "so, there are no limitationnnns to this thing." Hahaha, Unmesh you're the best Photoshop teacher!
I'm an intermediate Photoshop user. I knew much of this (patch tool, etc.) but there were several tips and tricks he added that I did not so thanks for making my retouching life a little easier!! I liked the "make an island" analogy. Helps to visualize. I also appreciate that he doesn't make it look like magic. There's a lot of back and forth. Retouching can be tedious and take a lot of work! The recaps at the end help also.
Great lesson. The use of this tool benefits from how our minds see images. As long as the patched piece doesn't have any obvious edge or create a pattern look (like so often happens with the clone tool), our brains won't even notice the repetition of entire sections of the image. We used to have to do this by selecting a section, copy and paste on a new layer, then soften the edges (however you like). This tool makes it so much easier to work in detail areas.
Unmesh, I wish I had teachers like you when I was at school. You are the best I have ever come across and that makes learning so much easier. Fantastic!!
Excellent instructor! A super amount of learning in a very short time and a clear sequential closing review. Thank you from the northwest coast of British Columbia, Canada!
You are the best tutor. The way you explain each n every tiny details was so much fun to learn. I learn more on your channel than my graphic design class. Thank you so much..
Just discovered PIXimperfect and he is incredible! Such clear, helpful tips! I thought I knew a lot about Photoshop, but this has given me a whole new set of skills! I can't wait to watch the rest of these videos! AMAZING!
A life saver video. One of my fav tool is patch tool, and this taught me some neat trick. Particularly holding Alt key to create straight selections and using patch tool along with clone stamp tool.
i have watched some of your tutorial videos, and omg, this is the clearest, easy to understand and very detail explanation i can find in you tube, keep up the good work mate, greetings from indonesia
You are a very talented Photoshop user, an exceptionnal teacher, and you are immensely generous! I learn so useful tips with your videos that I just discover!! Thank you so much for all this knowledge that you share with such a good heart and attitude!!
Your channel is great. I get to learn all the finer points of Photoshop. It's a powerful program that you help us to look deeper into. Your explanations of each tool and then followed by real world examples is a great learning tool.
thank you for the tutorial..i didnt realize that there are other tools that are helpful for my photoshop..ive been working on long cuts all these years..now it will make my life easier..
Thanks for taking the time to make this great video. I learned a lot! And thank you for you presentation. So many trainers just shout and shout. Your voice is refreshing.
Unmesh, Would you mind doing a video on what software you use for your microphone enhancements and what steps you use to get this crisp audio? Thanks so much for your help! I'm a big fan of your channel and I watch your videos almost every day on my way to work and on my way home. I'm trying to master photoshop and I love the way you teach. Thanks for all your help and advice. Look forward to hearing from you abut the audio. I'm really intrigued.
Patch Tool: it is a tool used to remove and replace stuff {basic use} ctrl+d to release the area. keep in mind always line things up. You can do experiments on content aware mode. The benefits of this mode is that it allows you work on an empty layer where u can sample all layers You can also adjust color and structure on content aware mode. tips: (when u hold alt key it will act like polygonal tool. shift key for add & alt key for subtraction into the selection. you can use fade patch selection to bring back some naturality by lowering the opacity of the replacement. After the replacement before pressing ctrl+D go to edit menu and select fade patch selection. Demerits: it does not work on things that are attached. for this you have to use clone stamp to cut things off and then you can use patch tool perfectly.
greetings from Indonesia ... you are the best teacher ever... thank you so much for making my life easier... you explain it very clearly.... the best.....
The Key command to get the intersection with the patch tool is hold down both Shift AND Alt. This works on all lasso tools. Shift Adds, Alt takes away and Shift plus Alt intersects
Thank you so much, now I can remove my Ex and replace with current.
