I’m waiting until they just straight up reprint alpha. That’s when you know they just gave up, shit their pants, and sat down in it until it cooled and hardened.
Love that WotC decided to speedrun ruining magic as i started getting really into. Ill just keep my old books and pretend their bullshit doesnt exist for as long as i can
Trust me there are Warhammer 40K players twisted enough to have a Sponge Bob army. As long as they let whoever they are playing against what they count as no one really cares.
I tried watching the video where they talk about all the different Foundations products. It's hard. It's a panel full of people with short attention spans. What kills me about the MSRP is they said they were getting rid of it because it confused people outside the U.S. I don't remember exactly what I heard say about making Universes Beyond legal in everything was along the lines of it was difficult to shift from one format to another with this things. I.E. we put out to many products and we get easily confused.
I read the rule change as the Attacker gets damage assignment after the defender loses all ways of getting priority (IE: attacker gets to assign after defender plays whatever their combat trick(s) are).
A big thing hurting Hasbro stock is Disney Star Wars. They had several waves of figures go completely unsols to the point discount stores wouldn't take the overstock. Marvel figures have been okay-ish, but not what they once were sales wise say 10 years ago. Magic isn't the sole thing killing Hasbro, but it's definitely not helping.
watched a video by Mark R at that Vegas talking about those bad mechanics. #20.stickers, megamorph, companion, haunt, annihilator #15.devoid, partner, miracle, forecast, initiative, #10.Cleave #9.Unmemorable Mechanics (cohort, conspire, pack tactics, reinforce & support) #8. Epic, fateful hour, daybound/nightbound, #5.radiance, #4.recover #3. Sweep #2. Gotcha #1. Bands with others All of this is his opinion and he's only responsible for 10 of those.
I'm a fan of final fantasy, but I really hate that final fantasy is cross pollinating with mtg. To those saying "it doesn't affect your playing experience", it does! If I play magic I want to play magic, I don't want to play agains Spiderman, Megatron, Sephiroth or ChunLi! I want magic the gathering!
In my mind the one of the biggest reasons Universes Beyond is so popular is because they can’t reprint all the value in the OP cards within two years. Luminous Broodmoth can be printed a bejesus amount to times but no way will WotC pay for another Godzilla round so we get Mothra, Supersonic Queen again.
The big thing is all the sets I really like in universe beyond has already been made and it will not be standard legal. I think they did this just for the Marvel fans.
I hate the stupid random ugly grey triangle that is slapped on the bottom of cards so they can be identified as universes beyond. It is a worse indicator than the acorn thing. I hate it so much. Universes beyond card have zero eye appeal to me because of that stupid grey triangle.
I like the fact universe beyond is in standard. It did go straight to modern, which means if you wanted to collect it and didn’t play modern, it was only playable in commander for me anyway.
One day we'll all look back at this and laugh about it as our robot overlords whip us back into the cobalt mines.
SpongeBob will be standard legal 😂
no. Spongebob is a secret lair, not an UB set..
I used to think it couldn't get any worse. At least I have Tron Aries and Monster Hunter wilds to look forward to. Rest in peace MTG
Gonna be honest: if Hasbro completely fucks themselves destroying M:tG, it'll make it a lot easier for someone to buy the property and save it.

why? Just proxy.
Thanks for all the info , des , and keeping it real. Catch ya on the flippity !

I miss when standard was 7 sets, 2 3 set blocks, And a core set
Trust me there are Warhammer 40K players twisted enough to have a Sponge Bob army. As long as they let whoever they are playing against what they count as no one really cares.
Wot$ have wrecked mtg more that 5 years.
Thanks for the videos.
What is the other channel? I'm subscribed to the emergency prep one.
The card pool for standard is going to be massive.
16:18 definitely a bad example, that movie would be EPIC!
WotC has ROLLBACK combat damage to how it was post Classic Sixth Edition MINUS damage on the stack.
Damage on the stack sometimes felt so good, but was mostly just an extra step that was skipped due to not mattering.
I'm new to Magic. I like your style. Do you have recommendations on other RUclips channels who have a similar vibe and cover Magic? Thanks.
Try Magic Historian.

The Toucan Tribe is strong in WotC
Yeah we are going down together.
Speaking of if MtG ends, and you'll still be posting... Maybe you should start getting into D&D, WotC is doing some screwy shit over there too.
This channel may not make you money but it sure is entertaining.

What are your thoughts on the new rules change? Sealed continues to not be worth opening, how are there still LGS's?
The change takes place with Magic Foundations apparently.
I live in northern europe and there's a big scene for digimon and lorcana scene growing, so magic isn't everything.
Yeah Alemannen/Alamannen! Greatings from south west Germany :)

The one ring in standard would be crazy its already busted as fuck in modern. LOTR wasn't standard legal thank god

The combat rule change coincides with the release of Foundations.

I remember the time where mtg released only had 4 sets a year. Now they are releasing one almost every month.
ub wasn't selling enough and they didn't want to scrap the idea of sets for it so it gets forced on standard players.
Arron Forsych
More like
“ Ain’t got no Foresight ”
LotR was a standard legal set
Pretty accurate take imo lol lets pretend this isnt modern horizons commander triple masters 4
DNN is the only place I get my mtg news
What if enough players refused to accept their new changes?
7:00 nobody plays modern? It's their most active format on MODO and the current RCQ season format..
the new blocking system sounds so dumb.

Fat packs for lyfe
You have always been able to over damage a creature, and can continue to do so.
Not a fan of the new rules.
