Dude will never make something like MTG. It was the proper combination of everything going well at the right time. Chaos Agents looks more like a roguelike deck builder than a proper card game. Loved the story about the robot vacuums, I wish there was a video of the vacuum chasing the dog.
It probably wont be as good as OG mtg but I would bet its better than -current mtg- universes beyond . I could only hope it would be good and blow up. Keyforge and Artifact were epic debacles and sadly Sorcery looks like its going to fail as well. If its anything like you say its just going to be another botch regardless of if his name is tied to it. Ex mtg players know all the tricks and cash grab schemes.
Wasn't that the idea of keyforged? Ya how well did that go.. i doubt anything will unseat magic from the throne until wotc finally stomps out every cent from it then maybe maybe someone can become the bbg of trading card games..
if keyforge and artefact are anything to go by mtg was lightning in a bottle but who knows maybe it'll work this time but historically making a game in the same genre to takeover the market dominator of said genre never worked see all the wow clones that died in the late 00s early 10s
This again ? He was involved with 2 other card games and 3 video games after 1998, all forgotten in time. Garfield was a cool dude, back in 1992 and 1993. Not so sure about him now, but he hasn't found any success outside of Magic the Gathering.
MTG has been dead for years now. Sure, there is a game right now that wears MTG as a skinsuit, and a lot of consumers are buying cards of this game to build their Fallout and Marvel decks, but MTG is long gone.
The art looks ok, but it does look one step away from looking like something made for the "MoDeRN AuDiEnCe". The gameplay sounds like a mess. I don't like autobattlers because you're hardly doing anything. The game is basically just playing itself.
I did a double take that the picture of Richard Garfield was not a picture of Robert Picardo.
Good call on that one.
The story about the robo vacuum cleaners was more interesting and entertaining than the supposed new digital game.
He was involved with 3 other failed video games already. Including one that was *only* playable on iOS. .....

oh god I forgot about artifact. Gonna go with nooooooo.
Changed the password .... of your vacuum.
The fact that the vacuum even was cknnected enough to need a password is a problem.
Richard Garfield is making a better version of tcg simulator especially for desolator to make more videos
Lolol .. didn't have racist vacuums on my bingo card.
Who wants a mini soda , you need a large soda 😂
Megasoda.
I added my email, just to see what happens
Now you'll get a creepy deep fried meme edit of Garfield's face and just the text "YOU DIE IN 7 DAYS" lol
No, garfield has a ton of games they tend to be mid
Yeah I know of at least one other that wasn't mentioned in thjs video, but I don't recall the name. Elemental something.
Mid is being nice about the quality of those games.
looks like they are discord with 170 members. 53 of them are online. Now the question is, are they playing Chaos Agents or something else.
the key will need to be forged anew. picardo has been sort insane in some posts on X, hope he reigns it in.
Do you remember when disgruntled factory workers randomly programmed Furbies to shout obscenities at their owners? Pepperidge Farm remembers.
Why on earth would someone buy into a game where you don’t really do anything. Chaos agents sounds terrible
“Me voy la chancla 🩴 “ 😂
He also invented hating Mondays.
do you think he would sell it to Papa Hasbro for the right price if they are scared of it?
Didn't he do keyforge? How did that turn out again
Isn't that literally the first minute of the video?

What do you think of N and S Dakota?
Cheap real estate but kinda union-y
@@DesolatorMagic unions suck. Worked for the red and white label soda, union shop labor. Worst most petty man-children ever.
Jeeh0d later known as VTES also a Richard Garfield ccg. Should make a comeback but wouldnt want it under hasbro or wotc

Speaking of standards… have you touched Eternal card game lately? It’s still more fun than Arena and Hearthstone.
Brokerage house?
And for those that don't know 'firmament' means heaven or the atmosphere.
That description box screams 'NFT game' to me.
The last game he made didnt really take off.
MTG could be killed by a stiff breeze.
@@scottclark3761 games been around for 30 years. Killed by a stiff breeze…. Sounds legit.
Will it kill MTG?
Spoiler ..................... it will not.
you can not kill what is already dead
and stinking
The only group that will kill MTG is Wizards lol

The only thing that can kill MTG is MTG(and it is doing a good job with all this woke stuff and ruining the setting with elseworlds)
