You must spend quite a bit of time, thinking up all of your ideas for the workshop for which I give you a very big thank-you. I am 70 years old and still learning. You are now my go to Y tuber, your channel and site are now on my bookmark bar. if you are married, please give my thanks to your Wife for letting you give us so much of your time and knowledge.
@@paulwheelhouse7090 hehe thank you and I will pass the info to my wife 😅
Thank you so much. You have answered my previous question perfectly GREAT VIDEOS
Glad to hear it 😁👍
Great project Thomaz. Looks good. I wouldn’t go for drawer slides as they weigh so much and your drawers seem to work just fine. I’d jut be aware of tightly coiling power cables in use. They can heat up. You’ve not got many coils there but just to be aware. Great work. 👍🏻
Thank you. Yes I just have to cut the power cable to the right size. I'll sort that out when my next router projects comes along 👍😁
Wow amazing dear really i have evolution rage 5s but never get in mind to do some thing like u bro
Now you can, no excuses 😅👍
The drawers and centre cover panel completed the project nicely. I like the fact the router bits are close at hand. Top job sir! Cheers 👍😂🇦🇺
Thanks 👍 Saves me a lot of time searching them around my workshop 👍
At 14:14 you did a brilliant impression of Debbie Mcgee.😂👍👌
🤣👍
Liking the add ons to the table👍👍👍👍
Thank you very much
Hello my friend,
You've made a beautiful router table. The final was very enjoyable. I also like the details you made for the router bits, such as the drawer and power button. you did a good job. congratulations. thank you for sharing. See you. stay healthy and happy.
Thank you kindly👍😀
@@CasualDIY 👍👍see you.
Better and better Tomasz. Well done!
Thanks! 😃
Nice job matey....great use of the extra space on the tablesaw
Thank you very much
simple router table but useful for those of us who like wood
Yes nice and simple👍
I always learn to seek experiences like you
Very good job Tomasz, great use of space.
Thank you! Cheers!
BRAVO, "MAGICAL" SOLUTIONS
thank you kindly👍😀
Well thought out as ever. It seems very versatile and should be great to use. Well done again mate.
Thank you kindly mate👍
It's a really great job my friend. Keep up the good work. 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Great storage build Tomasz. Maybe a electric safeguard switch on the new legs so you don't forget to use them. Enjoyed. Tony
Thank you 😀👍 I'm forgetful but not that bad lol
Nice thought out project....
For a suggestion, and future uses, have a look at caravan/camper van plastic drawer runners? They are cheaper than metal and lighter, but also you have to give a space for installation like with any runners.
Keep up the good work and stay safe 👍
Thank you very much. Never heard of those plastic runners I need to check them out, thank you👍
@@CasualDIY they normally are fixed by two plugs into holes drilled into the side wall or screwed in depending on manufacturer or type and a groove is rabbeted to run along the drawer side to accommodate the runner length.
I'm really impressed by that saw , one concern is the extension to the router, it shouldn't be folded it needs to be shortened as it will become an electrical hazard, apart from that it's great. Mike 😎
Thank you kindly👍
Here to help , Friend 😎
Very clever use of space and a great vid to watch. Stabilising legs a must I would say - last thing you want is a table tipping over.
Thank you. Yes I need to sort the legs out before working properly on the router table 👍
Nice Job as always. Why don't you take the saw off the evolution frame and make a cart for it. I've done it with my Rage 5 and you have space for storage underneath and on the other side. 4 lockable castors and it still mobile. Keep up the videos, they're very good.
I actually want a new workbench/ outfeed table for the saw. But until then this will have to do🤔
great job i would have inset the middle door to keep it out off the way and not have to take it off to remove a drawer but well done
Thank you. Yes I thought about that but in the end I went for the easy solution 😂
well done Tomasz, very smart and practical and above all really smart solution to save space. As i am waiting the delivery of the same table saw i would buy the plan if available, but i have the doubt you did not make it, working on the spot :-)
Thank you. I will have some plans for this by the end of next week hopefully. But I have already notice that dimension between saws vary which is problematic for plans...
@@CasualDIY Yes i agree. Probably after you bought your saw it has been issued a new release and maybe some pieces are slightly different or produced by another contractor. I think we can recognize it because the graved Evolution inscription on the work base disappeared in the last issues. But if the plans are made with sketchup it is easy to adjust, checking the actual measures of the rage 5 in my hands.
Really good Mariusz. Perhaps, for the legs, make it adjustable to account for uneven surfaces?
Close but no cigar, it's Tomasz but I'll let you off this time 🤣👍
Yes got few sets of adjustable furniture feet so I may just use them as you mentioned to account for any potential unevenness of the floor👍
@@CasualDIY perhaps you demonstration of strength wheeling the folded saw around made them think you were Mariusz Pudzianowski 😂
@@alant84 🤣🤣 strong like a bull 🤣🤣
i really like your videos bud, ive just aquired the evolution 255 pts which i fully intend to remove off its folding legs and incorperate into a small workbench with a small outfeed, id also like to use your idea for the router add on but, just trying to figure out how to incorperate it in. should be fun, on a side note, even just for the safety aspects of the ballance issue, wouldnt it be easier to just build a small work bench like what im thinking ? well im working my way through your videos and look forward to more in the future, Kind regards from the wirral (uk)
Yes it will become a part of a workbench I'm planning to build. However this is an option for now. I have added a foldable leg now for better stability.
@@CasualDIY i will be sure to keep an eye out for that lol. 2 dilemas, 1, do i fully extend the front and back tracks permanently or do i incorperate some form of track for them to slide on to extend, 2, the height of my router table is slightly higher than i would have my saw bench, which do i sacrifice, just a couple of quandaries lo
@@leecraddock299 well its for you to work that out, think about space you got in your workshop. What benefits you would get after a specific design, what potential problems. Will it suit your work flow etc.
👍👍👍
😀👍
A great addition to the rage saw, just one question, how easy is it to fit/change the router bits?
It's not to bad actually. I thought it would be worse. Although you need to do it below the table top.
Hi, could you publish the link to purchase the power button of the router? Just to let you know I purchased from a UK guy the plastic bars for both making the sled and for holding the router extension
Hi, the power button was purchased in my local DIY store and its not the best. Check Amazon, they should have something much better
@@CasualDIY thanks mate. I was relying on you as electricity is my weakest point ☺️ go on with your videos, super interesting
Hi Tomas.. Enjoying your mods to the Rage 5S. I'm hoping to buy one in the near future. Just one concern about the router.. The chamber it is housed in doesnt seem to be vented. . Could it overheat if you are doing a longer run of routing ? Perhaps a vent would be a good idea ?
Thanks. The compartment where the router sits is fairly large. Got a shop vac hooked from the bottom so that forces air flow. I think you would have to run the router for hours constantly for it to overheat. Which it would do regardless if it was in a box or outside if used for a super long time.
@@CasualDIY Ah ! I obviously wasn't paying full attention to the video.. If a vac is pulling air through that compartment there won't be a overheating issue.. I've watched a few videos where makers have put routers and shop vacs in unvented enclosures..
Thanx for the reply.. John.
@@johnallen8680 no problem 👍😁
nice upgrade.
I'm not sure hoe pulling out the drawers and shelves works. they were snug with the dividers. and with the middle cover in place, that would get in the way, no?
The middle just comes off and you got full access to the drawers inserts. Bit of wax and it all works great 👍😀
