I can see why he never did any debates. True colours really shine in person and on the spot. "I don't have the numbers but, 'at the end of the day', you need to just trust me". (paraphrase)

Well Vancouver, this mayor has the back bone of soggy toast. Seems more concerned with deflection of legimate questions. Your city was certainly one of the most beautiful I have visited, and I do hope you will be able to survive this guy who's vagueness, and procedural correctness will be at the expense of people's real needs. That being said, I hope...I'm wrong.

The tents weren’t just a massive fire hazard, they were being used to hide criminal activity. Weapons offences were up, assaults were up, new gangs moved in. It’s unfair but waiting for new shelters to come online was never an option. I hope the ones who want help can get it asap. The whole area needs rezoning, it’s dysfunctional.

Vancouver is dying from overly liberal policies, like enabling homeless people to use hard drugs and not prosecuting shoplifters.

Ken Sim is anything but liberal. lol.

You should be talking to Trudeau and the NDP about that....

@@robertbouchard6719 Why? The current mayor is Ken Sim. He said he would fix the homeless problem! They all say the same thing. 20+ years and still growing. All Ken did was scatter the hornets nest all over the rest of the city instead of trying to come up with some better solutions.

Face Check: Ken Sim at least is the first Vancouver mayor in last 30 years to clean up the East Hastings Encampment, unlike Stewart Kennedy and his predecessors keep lingering around for 10-20 years and never even have the guts to take the first initiative to clean up.......@@jenkem4464

This is really truth, we need to stimulate builders to build, not just tax and tax . Canada has created the high tax problem to stop ppl not to build and not do business in Canada, do elsewhere

I cannot believe he actively chose to come on, thank you so much for your journalism. What a horrible and cruel mayor to his citizens.

Why would a built home stay empty with so much demand? 3,5,10% tax doesn’t matter
