You never forget your first Handheld that you absolutely loved as a child!!!
For me it was the Gameboy although I didn't have many games.. I got a Sega Game Gear for Christmas one year but it wasn't until I got a GameBoy Color that I really Loved it, & felt like my true First handheld that I literally played every single day!!! Pokémon Blue was the first game I bought and had never played such an immersive RPG on such a handheld that you would never expect?! It blew us all away back then!

It feels misleading to list Switch games in a video about handheld games since you can play docked (and that's how I've mostly played my Switch). Also Super Punch-Out!! is just straight up a SNES game, not handheld at all. You mentioned having an Anbernic device or two, so I guess the logic is that you can emulate SNES on a handheld. I expected stuff like GBA, DS, and Vita games going into this.
For playing on the go, arcade-style stuff where you're doing the same stuff every time like Tetris (Rosy Retrospection is really good) or Panel de Pon (GBA version is my favorite) is nice. You don't have to remember what you were doing in some long JRPG or worry that you'll be distracted by your surroundings and ruin a very story-driven game.
I played with handhelds more than home consoles growing up and mostly would play my GBA and other stuff at home, but I really liked A Link to the Past, Minish Cap, Yoshi's Island, the Mega Man Battle Network games, Mega Man Zero 4, Pokémon of course. I never really got into Metroid other than Metroid Prime 2 multiplayer on GameCube, but I've been really into 2D games lately and have enjoyed plenty of Metroidvanias like Rabi-Ribi, so I was thinking of playing through some Metroid games, using remakes and romhacks where possible to modernize some of the early games.
