I was looking for a general Viking game as I already have Champions of Mid Guard and Blood Rage and picked it up last week based on your rec. Glad I did as it's lots of fun, and I can see it being a go-to game for a long time to come. Thanks!
This is an older review so I'm wondering if they have changed the graphics? I would love to get this game for my family but my son struggles with color blindness as well. There's no sense in getting a game that we can't all play together especially when he is the one that would probably most enjoy this game. Well, you convinced me to add this to my wish list. I think my wife might actually like it (she's a sucker for miniatures). I know the publisher says it's a 90 minute game, but about how long has it taken you on average to play through? Sorry if I missed this in the video somewhere.
I felt like this could've been an opportunity to show the old and new board together to make your point about the artwork. Also, in the past I've heard you speak about how dark the artwork was in the reprint. I thought you were referring to the blood and gore content. You're literally speaking of the dark tones used. I can see how the dark reddish and greenish hues on the reprint board would disappear to a color blind person.

I honestly didn't know they changed the graphic design THIS much. Wow. It's a total pass for me on that alone, I know a few people who have the first edition still so I guess I'll just live vicariously though them.

How does the game compare to Merchants and Marauders? Or are they two entirely different games? Fire and Axe is on Massdrop right now for 25$ bucks
