Hey, good video and smart tips for the service of the aggregate belt. I have one like this with misfire issue and i'm wondering whether it's a common issue. I can't find any videos on diagnostics of the misfire on the older 2.0 TFSI (2005-2008).
I uploaded a video part 1 of troubleshooting and am going to upload part 2 soon.
    Thanks in advance.

I used to live in the Nap. Near 10th and Washington. Anyways…I love all of your videos and my son has a really great mechanical mind and I really hope we can meet you someday.

Is it acceptable to hone the cylinders on my 2015 Audi a4 2.0? I had a piston fail above the wrist pin and it left a mild visible mark in the cylinder wall. It is about 1/8 inch wide but you can not feel it with a fingernail. However, if you rub your thumb over it you can slightly feel a difference in texture or feeling between the mark and the rest of cylinder wall. Is honing acceptable in this situation? And, is the cylinder still good enough for a rebuild?

If you can only afford to hone and install a new piston, do what you gotta do. Best option is to take the block to a good machine shop and get the option of a professional with it in front of them.
I have honed and installed new pistons on cylinders that you could feel with a finger nail and they ran fine. While not ideal you gotta do what you gotta do.
What caused the failure? That needs to be addressed.
I'm not a machinist I am just a mechanic who has had to do less than ideal repairs to get someone back on the road in a tight spot.

Hey man I got a question for you mr a4 specialist… so I was replacing my exhaust gasket on my 2011 a4 on the turbo studs and I noticed my feel and look the waist gate with the cat off was a bit lose and rattle. It’s not to the point where I’m getting a underboost code but I can spin the little circle all the way around. I’m putting it all back together tomorrow but is there any little fix I can to for that without taking the turbo off and just accessing the gate with the pipe off ?

Hey! I've recently bought a 2.0 tfsi to work on. This is a 2009 a5 b8 2.0 tfsi. It burns hella oil. got any tips? it gets cold here in Norway so im concerned about what oil. Have you used any additives before? anyway man it doesnt matter if you respond, i have watched all your videons on the 2.0 tfsi and their all great help!

Oil rings get stuck. Usually the only fix is to remove and replace. You can try additives but you’ll likely not get anywhere. I’ve tried letting an engine ingest about a gallon of water just bit by bit through the intake and the pistons on the surface look notably cleaner but impossible to say wether that helped the rings or not without tearing it apart.
