  • Wallowa Lake Tramway is the steepest gondola in america. Located right in the Wallowas, you get great views of the Wallowa mountains and the lake. This is a great destination to enjoy the top of a mountain without all the climbing that is usually required. There is a wonderful restaurant up top to enjoy food, drinks, and views.

Bridalveil Falls gondola opened in 1969 in Provo, Utah was the steepest in the world with almost a 70° incline. It was so popular they only let people on the gondola with a reservation for weddings or dinings. But sadly in 1991 a major avalanche occurred temporarily closing down the ride. Later in the year it was closed down for good because some say it would be too dangerous to fix. I was never alive to go on it but my grandparents have and they say it's one of the scariest things they've ever done.
