Cool! When I did my tank bungs, I was just about to do them that way, then last minute decided to grind the top hat base off and stick them all the way in and welded them flush. Just used a long bolt to screw in and hold it from falling inside the frame and to keep the spatter out. Super clean look and no gap from tank to frame. Keep the vids coming!

Been wanting to weld a hardtail to my bike. How many starts and stops would be acceptable when welding round the tube?
