I have a 2018 Accord sport 1.5. I'm replacing all the door handles. This video is great for the rear. Do you know if the front handles are removed the same way?
Is there any secret to re-installing the small section of the driver's side door handle with the rod sticking out of it? My key no longer opens the door after changing from silver to chrome handles.
So I am about to do this on a 2015 crv, I already have door apart, waiting on new handle to arrive. I am concerned the new smart entry handle will cause a warning light to come on once installed. Does it need reprogrammed? Has anyone done this without having to take to dealer? Avoiding them at all costs.
@@iambrianad wanted to add I know nothing about cars, I am just very mechanically inclined and can repeat anything I see on youtube. As long as you make all the connections, it should be fine. Just make sure to buy smart entry capable handle.

@@salimalriyami7779 I would start by taking the wiring harness on your old door out and transferring into your new door. That should fix the issue. I would also use your old window/lock switch mechanism.
Me too. I ordered replacement covers off ebay, and it's just a chrome-looking plastic piece that doesn't click into place in any way, and if it did, the keyhole would not align with the surface of the cover, so unfortunately I have to get it repaired for real. I'm guessing it's going to cost me more than the $13 I paid for the parts.

Try taking out the Key Cylinder again And Put it back in Correctly

Some theif tried stealing my car and popped off the lock mechanism cap and mangled the lock. Anyway got to replace the lock now.

Yep, same thing. Only thing that is different is there is no wiring harness to unplug.
