You should never handle a turkey like that, this guy has horrible handling technique. They're also overheating and need more water.. Turkeys are not continuous layers like chickens. they lay clutches of 12-15 eggs than hatch them. For this reason they're hatched out and harvested for meat around 8 months old. Feed them sorghum seeds, sunflower seeds, black soldier fly larva and whatever small nuts and berries that grow native to you area. Mostly raspberries hazelnuts and acorns in America. They also need grit. Do this and you'll have much nicer birds for farming or hunting.

I have 2 local female turkey thats 8months old plus and a male , but it’s yet to lay. Can it hatch it her self should begin to lay?
