  • Hello everyone, thanks for taking your time to check out my video today. Now it has been a few years since I did a new vs vintage comparison on the same fragrance. Blue Jeans by Versace is a 1994 release and this is a video I've wanted to make for a long while, so here it is.

Even in the 90's blue jeans was unique there was nothing like it. and so many years later it is still unique.

I've seen this fragrance so many times at discounters here in the United States and I've always just passed it by... I have never smelled this fragrance... O_O; I'll have to make a point to finally smell this one... Thanks for the video as always Matt... ^_^

I just grap a tester of "versus" versace blue jeans" today. Ohh it brought me back when i first smelt blue jeans at my 16s... It was more citrus lemon , botanic, and less sweeter back then! ❤

Thanks for the video. I still have my vintage from back in the day and it’s made me scared to try the new one but I might give it a go now ☺️

Very nice! You know, Sebastian (Man Loves Cologne or whatever the names is these days) spoke highly of Blue Jeans and a few flankers back-in-the-day, but I've never actually put my nose on any of them. Go figure! One of these days...I hope.

Thanks for this great video, Matt! ''White Jeans'' was another elusive release that went under the radar. ''Green Jeans'' and ''Metal Jeans'' were my favorite. ''Metal Jeans'' was absolutely beautiful! It now sells on Ebay for an astronomical price. I still have Green and Black in my collection and just purchased a vintage Blue. The scent memories I have interlaced with the entire Versace Jeans line is vast. I appreciate your comparison and perspective between the old and more recent ''Blue Jeans''. Best.

Yeah, definitely lime there. Its what makes that Coke vibe, along with Ethal Maltol.

Great comparison Matt. This one was always a bit mediocre for me, but it's still a very welcome signature for the average dude, even today. Personally, I miss Green Jeans. 💙💚

If you have ever tried Guess Night in the blue bottle, really smells like Versace Blue Jeans. Try it out.

Used to have this in my first year at uni in the late 90s and loved it - a bit synthetic but so were Tommy and Joop which I also had in my arsenal back then - great fragrance - good to see you back 👍

Really like this one. It grew on me over time. Very relaxing, fun, and laidback feel. And compliment. I have the old Versace Versus version.

Never been the craziest about this one. Sticky sweet sugary florals. This would be weird imo on anyone over 25. Its overly playful without a sexy edge to it. Sort of reminds me of being a cartoon. Like toon land fantasy cotton candy playhouse. Like fun houses and bouncy houses and 5 year olds and clowns lol. Joop homme type category but even Joop (vintage) has a masculine base.

This was really helpful Matt 👍🏻. I have the modern and it really leaves me wanting more. I have to go after the vintage. Cheers ✌🏻

Versace Blue Jeans is a classic and a must have for any serious collector. My first bottle was in 2001, back when i was knee deep in klunge every night. The panties weren't just dropping.. they were sopping! Get the mop out 💦

Not a fan of Blue Jeans. To my nose the opening is great and the short moment after it. The opening is fizzy and to my nose smells like a cream soda. Right after that it morphs into a nice fougere, but only for a short moment. Then the florals take over and the scent gets murky. A weird undefined aroma. It smells like something that isn't supposed to exist. Like that weird taste of a blue slush puppy. So many notes, not one that is recognizable, oh wait the vanilla is. In the end I get a blue vanilla scent. And not blue in the sense of that type shower gel/marine fragrance, but blue like that non-descript taste of a blue slush puppy.
