What a refreshingly positive perspective of the Age-Old evil of business people and their violence against Creatives; WELL DONE !! No facts here: yet I'm confident that the inventor of the wheel was subjugated by a 'Lord of Cargo Mastery' of that time..... ;-}>
Brought me to tears.…!! I used everything thing I had in a legal battle for someone I love. I would do it all again. It hurt so much at the time. What developed afterwards… well that’s another interesting story…!!! (This was a hard one but I pushed through..) Great job..!!
Thanks, Barron. I wrote this one as an homage to a friend and her entrepreneurial spirit in the face of a lot of personal hardship. It's meaningful for me in a lot of ways. Grateful it was for you too 🙏
As someone who has beaded jewelry for a couple of decades, I've got to say, this was really good. I know that while we don't include tech in our jewelry, I know that some people include ashes of loved ones and other things, like pictures in jewelry for ages. I am not a lawyer, but I've known some legal stuff because of knowing some lawyers, and this is another good one.
Thanks, Leah! I used to work next to a jewelry store that had their own workshop with big, open windows so people walking past could watch them work. It was pretty cool how skilled they were.
Good stories keep going. Some original Ideas. I do not own a TV so i really appreciate these stories. Bill bryson words, books are television for intelligent people.
Thanks, david! So glad you're appreciating them. Though I do far more reading and writing these days (and have done for a long time), I must confess, I still love a little Battlestar every now and again.
You out did yourself! Misfits and many others were my favorites This is the best so far. Would make a great Streaming series or movie!!!! Or even a book
This is your first storey that I have absolutely HATED! From the limp wristed apathy and feeble helplessness of all of the Corporate victims, to the way the main Corp. thug was not physically hurt AT ALL!....SHAME!....😢😢😢 This is the future of a gunless society unable to defend themselves.
Fair enough, Danny. Thanks! We're up to 80 stories now, which is wild to me. But it also means out of so many there's bound to be a few that don't resonate with a whole bunch of people for various reasons. I hope it doesn't become a pattern for you if you're enjoying the others! Many thanks for listening and for the feedback 🙏😃

Cheers, Sailor! Fun fact: Lime Harbor was inspired by a little island city in the Caribbean 😃
oh, a reminder that progress always wins over time and that power often forces it forward through their attempts to deny it. well done
Plus shiny things with cool tech in them! Thanks, Notfooled!

I usually fall asleep. But I do enjoy the stories.
Full disclosure, Lara. I am guaranteed to fall asleep writing at least once a week 😄 So it's only fitting 😴

Pretty soon, I'll be limited to your weekly uploads.
Thanks, Alfred! I'll keep writing, but unfortunately I don't think I can go any faster 😵💫😃
Fantastic story. I love how you weave the same locations in different time periods.
Thanks, Herbie. We need to get back to Lime Harbor again soon, I think.

Please don't use onboard as if it's a verb.
I hate to break it to you, Felicity, in the future it will be 😜
@P.E. Rowe it already is a verb. Anyone who has started a job in the corporate world would know that.

@@escapefelicity2913 🤣 Technically though, isn't anyone over 20 an overgrown adolescent? I know I am!
