For the serious writers out there: Mechanics of Fiction Writing Series / @mechanicsoffiction
Nice, it reminds me of an episode of space above and beyond. The 58th had to assist an operator on a dangerous mission.
Thanks!
First time I've listened to this channel, very clear and articulated narration!
Thank you, Durk! That's fuel for next week's story!
Great job on narrating "The First Man"! Your voice adds a nice touch to the story, making it enjoyable to listen to. Keep up the good work!
Thank you very much, TT! 😃
Your characters are well thought out and engaging. Your plotlines are often unpredictable and the stories are a pleasure to experience. I am currently (trying) to teach my 8yo how to write stories as he has a vivid and logical imagination. I hope one day he can write as well as you.
Thanks, Kevin. I'm happy to hear you're enjoying my work! I don't have a children's version of my Mechanics lectures yet, but they'll always be there when your son is ready for them if he's still interested 😃Let that imagination run wild!
I just found your page a day or two ago, many have said it in the comments and I concur, you are very good at what you do. Thank you for sharing your gift.
Thanks, Charles. So glad you did find it! Appreciated the kind words. I'm happy to share and love that you and others are enjoying my stories!
Only 89 views? Keep it up you'll do well.
Thanks, Jeremy. That's the plan!
Cool story. Thanks
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you! Suscribed!
Thank you, Paty! Welcome!
Thats two in a row enjoyed them both well done!👀
Thanks, Mel. Glad you did! Working on the next one!
Wonderfully brutal without being overly bloody !:-)
Thanks, Barry! Watch out for Transom!
Gripping! Visceral. Superb story telling.
Thank you.
Cheers, Karl!
Great story! Listened twice
Thanks, B K! Glad to hear it!
Did not see that final twist coming. Loved this story.
Thanks, Lisa!
Nicely narrated (not an easy task).
Thank you, Jim. I appreciate the compliment! And...you are correct! Definitely my biggest struggle each week.
I enjoyed it. I do not have a Twitter.
Thanks, Eastlyn, so glad you did! I'm still figuring out the best way "poll the audience" for topics. I'm pretty new to social media myself, so I'm sure that won't be the only place if you have a suggestion. Comments here would work too, I guess.
@P.E. Rowe you can create a poll on RUclips. In the community tab. I won't use Twitter either. It is far too toxic.
Another great story. Dialog and action well written and narrated!
Solid. There is something about the way you say "I want to earn your subscription" in the outro which works.
Thanks, esc. Trying to grow the right way.
That was pretty badass.
Thanks, Darnell!
My third time listening to this. Powerful story.
🙏
Great story, captivating. Thanks! 👍
Thanks, David!
Very succinct. Like a REMF nightmare.
Speaking of succinct, "REMF nightmare" is probably the perfect two-word summary
🏆Impressive 🏆
Thank You for sharing this with us!
Thanks, Keith!
You are head and shoulders above your cmpetion
Thanks, Herb!
Very good story.
Thanks, ross. Glad you liked it.
Outstanding. 😎
Cheers, Erik!
Thank you, really fun story.
Cheers, Joe 🍌😂 Glad you enjoyed it!
Wow!
Cheers, Lisa!
brutal !
🙏
On point
Cheers, Bdady.
Ooooo i liked that one
Thanks, Michael!
Well done...
Cheers, Scott!
love the story, but 1000 km/s in low orbit is impossible, ESPECIALLY in stealth :)
that thing would be hotter than the sun devouring insane energy trough friction by maintaining speed
I love how you created Transum but why this name? Is it not a bar to strength a door or window? Is this why he is opening your creation through his strength of character? Am i close?
Thanks for the question, Todd. It's as it says in the story, a codename given to him by the Etteran military, which he doesn't know much about. It is a type of window as I understand it, but I wouldn't read too much more into it than the fact that they are really nameless warriors for their faction.
another tasty pic
Cheers, Felicity!
earn my sub? you earned that half a year ago, you're amongst the best to find.
the narration is decent and the writing is top class
Thanks, T! Always trying to grow. Glad you're still enjoying after so long 😃
Where do you get all the great images for your stories?
Thanks for the question, MJ. Almost always, I'm doing a form of collage "art" using tools that are on almost everyone's computer. When I started, most of the collage components were from image-sharing sites and apps. Now I use Midjourney almost exclusively to create the images either completely or the collage components. Sometimes I'll use a sketch filter as well for more of a "graphic novel" or "hand-drawn" art feel. I do touch up and coloring in photoshop after I have the image I want.
The MegaCity on the Moon
This is a topic suggestion, Martin, right?
Or on an asteroid. So you have kind of done it multiple times.
I am a trogladite.
After listening to every story several times so maybe I'm getting this wrong but did the Trasp originate from a labor union?
Thanks, Hartley! Yes, of sorts. They formed during the schism while building the Athos ring and then Iophos. And it didn't take long after that for parts of their organization to decide to go their own way
Transom just threw them to the wolves sad Mark CEN CA
Mark CEN CA here now😮
😮
Mark CEN CA 😮
Mark CEN CA
So very boring.
Hated this story so much! Hated the transom character with a passion. His character threatening to kill every one of his fellow soldiers felts so so so stupid. He’s complaining about them not being good enough and his answer is I’ll just chop your hand off that will make you so much better!
Appreciated the feedback, Cody.
Cool sweet
Thanks, Klif!
