- The shutter has some problem in this Makina 67 Plaubel Nikkor 1:2.8 / 80. And there was some almost worn out parts in the part's that actually cock the shutter.
When the arm with the steele wire, that push on the lever on the cocking gear release (or release the film advance arm), the shutter try to fire but couldn't and this was because the lever was not fully cocked because the little aluminium part was a little worn out (I show it the video).
I then make a small part out of a 0.11mm - 0.12mm bronze spring, so I could put the thin plate on to small pin on the cocking gear assembly, and probably make the shutter to work again.
It turn out to be fine and then the shutter is actually working correct again.
Like jokesNgiggles, I didn't really comprehend what the problem was. There was an "interesting..." at 45:38 and an "Ahaa!" at 45:53 that had something to do with the solution. Obviously the piece that received the LocTite was the culprit, but I didn't get how you came to this conclusion. I am sure that I would end up with LocTite on the wrong part! I have a Makina - the same one - with a meter cable issue (battery drains very quickly if left in) and if anything this video has taught me to leave well enough alone! Still, it's awesome to watch someone disassemble any camera. Maybe one day I'll be brave enough. The viewfinder cleaning video was also great. And yes, the shutter is fully mechanical as mine fires perfectly well without any battery. Really appreciate the post!
Lovely and informative channel. Please don't stop!
At 46:30 you are finding the problem but then the video cuts to reassembly? It's like you skipped the entire point of the video? What happened here, did you forget to turn the video camera back on? I see that you added a description of the repair in the show notes... sadly this is not very clear. Well, thanks for demonstrating disassembly.
thank you for this video, very informative
thanks for your detail introduction in the video! Can I ask you how to fix the folding lens lock in Makina67? My Makina 67 can not lock it when I Put away the folding lens back, but it can locking when I put out to shoot, so trouble for carry it now...
Hard to believe that this camera is around 3000k.
interesting, I don't really quite see what the problem was. The problem was what you put locktight on? I did notice what you put the locktight on sometimes stuck and then other times didn't so perhaps that was the cause.
Hi. My Plaubel Makina 67 has some problems. Of course the light meter is not working like it's very common with this camera but I am OK with that since I am already good at exposing without a light meter. The real problems I am struggling with are as follows: the advance system delivers only 8 out of 10 frames per roll. Someone tried to fix it and the only result was that that he disconnected the frame counter and in the end he wasn´t able to fix it back :( so now I have a camera that delivers only 8 out of 10 frames per roll and the counter frame is not working anymore... I also broke by accident the battery cover. It's still there but the rubber got broken. Could you fix these it if I send you my camera? I´ve been following your channel for some years now. I live in Mexico City. Thank you.
Hi, just wondered if you’d be interested in working on my makina 67. I have the usual meter not working, and an issue with the film resent count mech’ playing up. If so, how do I get hold of u? Cheers.
Please write video how to change the bellows on plaubel makina 670 !
Hello!
Great videos on the Makina 67! I have one myself that needs some proper repairs. The repair shop wanted way too much money, so I wanted to ask if you accept and repair other people’s cameras? Can I email you? Thanks!
Sorry, but I do not have repair service.
but i din't get it were was the problem...
Hello, Could you please explain how to change the bellows, thanks!!!
Sorry, I don't have the camera anymore.
as soon as I looked at the way you replaced the name ring I knew you didn't know what you were doing. The name ring always ends up with the "E" in the word MADE at the bottom with the set screw. There is a notch made for that. Please only submit information that you know is correct not this type.
Thanks for info.
dont get the point.
Do you know how to access the spring for the meter button? Mine just jammed.
Sorry, I don't have the camera anymore.
john did you ever figure this out? I got a meter button jam as well, shutter works fine, cant depress shutter button though
@@retsukage I had to send it to WIZCAM on eBay for a repair and full CLA. Not cheap, but he's the best and I think only person in the country doing this.
