    I adore this series! Can't wait for the next one. My favourite thing to help with setting the mood and energy for the day is mediating using the headspace apps. Andy's voice is so gentle yet strong so won't put you to sleep but keep you relaxed yet focused xx

    Thanks you for this series! Anxiety and depression can be a very lonely place and so it is lovely of you to open up a community for people to not feel so alone. You tube can on occasions leave you feeling a little flat about your own life if your not in the best mind set. This last year I've being really trying to work on my mental health, a few things that help are: eating a healthy well balanced diet and herbal teas, have a 30 min wind down before bed (just nice easy books) and try to get at least 8 hours sleep, yoga and other gentle exercises, gratitude journal and the HeadSpace app every day for mindfulness is really good. Making time for your self and your own wellbeing is so important! I really believe this is something that should be taught in schools! Thanks again x

    Sweet Lindsey, thank you for your strength to speak about a vulnerable, deeply personal topic and to start this conversation on mental health. First I will paraphrase something a friend observed of his own experience with depression: it is when we are in the midst of our struggle with depression that we are the strongest. I thought this was paradoxical at first because many of us probably feel at our weakest when we are most struggling with our mental health. Introspecting about my own experiences, though, I think his observation is true. When things are going well, we are coasting; we aren't trying, we are just living. But, when things are going poorly either in our external circumstances or in how we are feeling and thinking internally, THAT is when we are exercising our strength-when we are trying to get on track, to improve, to feel well. I think it takes a tremendous amount of strength to believe in ourselves and to have the hope to believe circumstances can improve or that we can take charge of our health. It is a comfort to me when I am struggling to reflect that is is precisely in that dark space that I am exercising my greatest strength.
    I am almost 25 and I have struggled with mental health for years. I was raised by my grandma, who died of cancer when I was 17. Since then, I have been on my own; I had to live with different families to finish high school and then put myself through university. My first year of uni was especially difficult dealing with this huge adjustment and with grief. Sophomore year, I struggled to accept that I had depression. I felt embarrassed because I majored in philosophy, which is so much about how we manage our thinking, and here I was struggling with a mental illness. Good friendships and intentionality helped me. I opened up to people, and finding the right people can be its own challenge. I took a ballet class to force myself to get some exercise as my grade would depend on it. I scheduled lunches with friends instead of scurrying off to the library to eat alone while working. I started reading children's literature to bring my attention to gentle, positive messages (I highly recommend anything by George MacDonald, especially At the Back of the North Wind). I watched TEDTalks and read articles about managing depression. Most of all, I learned to have grace with myself.
    Health requires maintenance. I have relapsed into depression at times and had to struggle again to get to a healthier mental space. Over the past year, anxiety became my main concern. I started hyperventilating into panic attacks frequently, I developed spasms that feel like heart attacks, and I developed chronic insomnia. Right now, I am in a better place than I was a year ago, but I am still working and sometimes backsliding. Whichever mental health issues one is managing, I think it is perhaps how we are thinking about our experiences that most contributes to how we are feeling about ourselves. I hope for myself and for anybody else reading this that we can learn to be gentle with ourselves as we surely would be with a friend in our situation, and I hope that we can remember that we are strongest, not weakest, when we are struggling.

    Lindsey, this is so great!
    I'm only 23 but I've struggled with depression and anxiety since I was a child. Therapy has always been my biggest source of help and incentive to get to know myself and my mind better, but like you, I really appreciate little things to use on a daily basis. Love your positivity, look forward to the rest of this series! X

    Hi! I absolutely love this, thank you for starting this series. I’m 23 and have recently realised I suffer from anxiety. It’s something I’ve found will just come on straight away, be quite over powering for a short time and then disappear! A video series like this is SO comforting, I love your ideas and strategies of how to deal with things. I can’t wait for the next episode! X

    I am the worst about writing things down. I take a lot of photos, though. I've started marking one for every day, whatever I thought was the best unedited and I was proud of, or if it was something I saw in the day that brought me joy. Then I set it into a special gallery folder on my computer. It is nice to go back through them time and time again. It is what works best for me.
    If writing isn't your thing, just try to find something that brings you joy personally and make it work.

    Hi Lindsey I absolutely loved this video & what you are doing. I’m 47 & have in the past suffered from depression as a result of personal circumstances. I found that I reached a point where I viewed myself as a victim & lived that way, even though many others would have been grateful for the life I have. I finally managed to move on but still find, like you I have anxiety & I am a natural born worrier. I’m definitely going to try your recommendations & see what works for me. It’s so easy to think we should all be living a fabulously happy life all the time but that’s not reality. One of the things I have learned is that it’s normal to feel sad, anxious, annoyed etc but for me it’s catching it early, taking action & not letting the emotion spiral out of control. I think it’s so important to be able to talk about mental health & share experiences as that’s the only way we can move forward. Carol X

    Thank you Lindsey it’s a great idea! I’m 33 yo, because of anxiety I have insomnia sometimes, in the middle of the night, my tip is to get up, catch a novel and read until sleep comes back!

    Hi Lindsey, It’s really great to see you talking about these kind of things in such an upfront way. I struggle with anxiety everyday although mine is very linked to my work. I really struggle with the feeling that I don’t deserve or aren’t capable of the job i’m doing, even though i’ve worked really hard to get where I am. Every time I make a mistake or do something not quite right I end up taking it as a sign that I don’t deserve to be where I am. Keeping a log of positive things i’ve achieved is something i’ve tried in the past and not managed to stick to without a strong routine, but i’m picking it up again this year & hopefully I’ll have more success second time around. It’s good to know i’m not alone.

The thing is, you wouldn't have bagged that job if you weren't 100% the right person for the job. YOU did that, because YOU worked your arse off.     Oh my god, this is perfect! Love your idea.
    I have (self-diagnosed) anxiety and have trouble falling asleep most nights. What i found helps me most is distracting myself with podcasts on random unrelated topics. I just put the headphones in and fall asleep to some political discussions or true crime or whatever. This is especially useful if your partner is sensitive to screen light and you can't watch videos or read a book. Hope this helps someone!

    Lovely idea Lindsey! What works for me are: photography walks (they're my own variation on mindfulness walks), meditation apps that help you fall asleep, lavender essential oil, thinking about at least 3 things I'm grateful for before I go to sleep. Something I saw in a video once and that also really helps is telling someone (a friend or whatever) how you really feel about them (keep it positive though) , thanking them for all they do for you.

    This is a great idea for a series! I love to keep a gratitude journal to write down three things I was grateful for that day. It has made a huge difference to my outlook on life, even on my lowest days I can still find three things to be happy for, and that's very powerful. Plus you can spend as much or a little money as you like you on it, I've just been using a basic copybook for it!

    I love to do alignment before action in the morning. I make breakfast and tea, I eat, and than i meditate for around 15 minutes, read for an hour and after that my day begins. And because I do all this things that make me happy in the morning, by the time it’s 9am I’m already feeling like I’m having a great day. My energy is positive and it sets the tone for the entire day ahead. I of course sometimes still feel low and lately I’ve been feeling angry quite a lot, but I bounce back quicker, because I’m always striving for aligment before action. I also love listnening to The Lively Show podcast and “self help” audio books. Self help has a pretty bad rep, but I think it’s just about finding the books with the right message. And I don’t read the self help material in the morning, I just read novels, since sometimes absorbing too much information about self improvement can be just as frustrating as not having a solution. It really is all about balance. I really hope at least one person reads this and finds it helpful. And I think this series is a great idea! I actually subscribed to your channel today and I’m so glad that the first video I opened was one with such a beautiful intention ❤️

    This is such an amazing and much needed series. I knew you through Lizzy, and who can tell that you were going through a rough time! Internet, RUclips and vlog have forced all of you content creators to appear happy and fulfilled. I really appreciate you (and Lizzy) to share your personal stories and struggles, because not only that I can relate more, but also because you have used your influence in a much more significant ways (not saying that wearing kickass jeans and boots are insignificant!) I was in a very low point in 2017, and I really started to find ways to take care of myself and focus on my inner peace/strength. Similar to the Happiness Planner, I started to track the happy habits that I want to develop, like kickboxing and reading. To see, on a piece of paper, that what I have done have given me a lot of mental strength. I really hope this series can provide some sort of guidance and help to people who are in need of taking care of themselves. Great content!

    This is such a timely video for me. I'm 30 this year and while I'm sure that's not the source of the uncharacteristic anxiety and unhappiness I've been feeling it's probably adding to it. I've been pretty unmotivated so have been reflecting a lot on goals and happiness - and recently bought Get Your Sh*t together help - literally only cracked it open yesterday (there's nothing in it that's profound or I don't know but) it's a good external force I think. It's early days but am already feeling some mental clarity I couldn't muster yesterday. Looking forward to more of these vids x

    This has come at the perfect time! I've been struggling with anxiety for a while now and starting university in September really tested my ability to cope with it. Although I have been feeling anxious over the last few months I've been finding new ways to deal with it although I am a little bit nervous about returning to University in the coming weeks. I'm feeling super positive about the coming year though and I am determined to stop my anxiety from overwhelmingly affecting my life and hopefully this series will help to keep me grounded and remember that I'm not alone in how I'm feeing.     Lindsey, thank you for sharing such a sensitive and personal matter. It does really help to know that there are other people out there dealing with the same struggles and anxieties, despite the brave/stylish face they might be putting on social media. I'm all for transparency and I appreciate someone who shares things with honesty. Turning 30 was a good point for me, in terms of feeling more confident and being able to say "fuck off" and knowing it was the right decision. Unfortunately moving around the globe to find stability left me with anxiety and feeling more unstable that ever. Trying to take things a day at a time is what helps most at the moment.     Fantastic idea for a series - despite gaining more momentum over recent years its always wonderful to see mental health being addressed in a relatable way. Something simple that Ive found helpful when Im feeling anxious or low is reading quotes on Pinterest.They could be happiness quotes, wisdom quotes or even mental health related quotes - just reading them gives me a sense that Im not alone in my thoughts or experiences and provides a subtle form of hope that it will pass x

    Wonderful video as always! Being in my early twenties and starting a new job in London means I can struggle with fitting everything in and making time to look after myself and stay calm! Such a lovely idea to make these videos to spread the message of what works for you and what can help others (and me!) too.     Lindsey I don't even know where to begin! This makes me feel like i have a big sister there for me to talk to when i need to. Thank you so much for making this series as only this year i have realised that i have anxiety and i am really struggling with managing it as i dont really know what triggers me or where it comes from so listening to someone else talk about it and discussing what helps them makes me feel at ease. thank you so so so much xx

    What a lovely video. We all have our struggles and I've found over the years one of the best things you can do is TALK to someone about them. Sometimes just admitting that we are having a hard time takes some of the weight off instead of trying to be brave and power through all the time....which is what I think a lot of people tend to do. Sometimes its ok not to be ok! Great tips... look forward to watching the next vid x

I have struggled with anxiety since I was 21, but this has recently become a lot worse after my husband and I lost our first baby in December. I am striving to make this year the year that I try to address the anxieties I have, to break the negative thought patterns and to be much kinder to myself. Looking forward to more videos from you.     Love the sleep spray! One of the easiest quick fixes for my anxious nights is changing my sheets- I love clean bedding! Also, 10/10 recommend Hyland’s Calm Forté Sleep Aid. It’s the easiest little sleep aid ever. I call it my chamomile pills because it will just chill me out quick. Whenever I’m stressed out I’ll take a few of those and make a cup of herbal tea.

    I will be 50 this year and have struggled with depression and anxiety since my teens This past year was a hard one, and I have a hard time with pinpointing and writing down positives or negatives that will help me. I am looking forward to your advice and ideas to address these issues.
    I am going to try my best to help this year be a better one.

I too have anxiety but above all I am my own greatest critic - so much so that you are paralysed to try anything new or go outside your comfort zone.     Hey Lindsey! Apologies in advance becasue this comment is a lot longer than I planned. Such a fab idea for a new series because it isn't just talking about one's own experiences in a dark or depressing tone, it's focussing on little solutions or quick fies to eleviate stress. I have a really long history of mental health illnesses but only for the past 6 years have these been addressed, although I had to hit rock bottom during this time to find a way out and trust me... rock bottom was more like being stuck at the bottom of a damp well than a ditch. I had CBT treatment but neglected what my doctor taught me thinking I was fixed. During the last few winter months, after the healthiest and happiet year of my life, I relapsed into a state bordering on what catalysed my initial nervous breakdown and episodes of psychosis. I realise now that it's because I was stacking up responsibilities in my head and getting so stressed that I just avoided them coz of my hectic and irregular schedule, rather than breaking things down into smaller and more manageable chunks.
    However, I have recently discovered Dr Lauren on instagram, who does 20-45 minute live talks on Gurls Talk's instagram page every Monday. You can send in dilemmas or questions and she answers them in such a way that it began to fill me with faith in myself again. One thing she recommended and was something I had forgotten about from my own CBT is a Mood Diary. A bit like your happiness journal thing. Record your emotion with a smily/straight/sad face then follow with points of what you feel that day and how/why. I did this and changed it to daily check-ins where I just write 3+ bullet points of what I have achieved that day. It has made me feel a lot more positive. Even on days where I feel a bit sh***y, I look back and go, 'Hey, I didn't do as badly as I thought that day.' I do also believe that if you write it releases it from going around in circles in your head. There are so many things but this has become key to me. So, definitely check out Lauren on Insta! Life saver. She's like the life coach and cheerleader I never had!

    Oh wow Lindsey, I can't believe I haven't started watching this series before now. Everything you said about feeling sad and anxious resonates so much with me right now. I'm currently trying to settle into living in London after having lived abroad for four years and losing my mum in October last year. It's been so tough and I'm going to catch up with your series ASAP! Hoping you'll tackle anxiety and jobs/job hunting because that's what's hitting me right now.     Ahh Lindsey! Thank you so much for this series 😊 Anxiety has always ruled my life, worry about anything and everything until my stomach is in knots. Ive been volunteering for Mind charity and their work really inspired me to really looking after myself as I’m a point in life where I am between graduation and finding a job, which is pretty bloody daunting 🙈 My starting point was a visit to the LUSH spa - totally recommend the ‘comforter’ treatment! Its not like any other spa treatment I’ve had, I left feeling like a new person, worry free and ready to approach those things I’d normally worry about. Once again thanks for making this subject so approachable x

    Lindsey, this was such a breath of fresh air and wonderful to see when I opened up youtube today! I relate to this so deeply! I'm the same age as you and I am the classic over achiever - and over thinker. 2 degrees, lots of travel, lots to be grateful for but still a very anxious brain. It wasn't until I was 26 that I even faced the fact that I had anxiety. I had to crash in order to completely build myself up again. Everyday is different, some better than others but it helps knowing that there are people who are open and willing to speak about such an important aspect of each of our lives.       Lindsey Holland when I found out I was so torn between hating myself for living in fear for so long and then being grateful for realising that there was a reason for why I am the way I am.
      I stress constantly about maintaining success and independence, whilst wanting to get married etc - I totally understand where you are coming from there. I’m working really hard on trying to take away expectation and comparison, and just putting my best foot forward xo

    I’m very much looking forward to this series! I’ve found the mindfulness really helps me. I (try) to set aside a minute or two a day to relax and be mindful. I’ve also really enjoyed the app Insight Timer especially the guided meditation called “Breathing Into Sleep”.

    This is such a nice series to do, thank you, great idea! It really is important to do small things that make you happy. I'm only figuring this out now too, I'm 33 today.. This year (last week lol) I started doing a bullet journal, I'm only finding my way but I find it quite relaxing. I've included a gratitude section to write one or two things that I'm thankful for each day and I think it can be a nice thing to do even if you haven't had a great day there might be one thing that you can be thankful for that can make you fall asleep easier. Looking forward to the next one :)

    Thanks for this Lindsey some great tips!! Looking forward to this series as well. Im 37 and only just figuring it all out its work in progress for sure. My tip as you say is surround yourself with great people who make you feel awesome and never be afraid to cut out those who don't. I overthink literally everything and would beat myself up about things out of my control and constantly worry what others thought, coupled with a few awful friendship break ups . Gaining a few amazing friends in the last few years helped me see that its not selfish letting negative people go but self perseverance. No matter how old you are its never too late to make new friends. X

    Thank you so much for doing this! It's so good to have videos like this about health and well-being and little things we can do to feel happier. I am feeling really anxious at the moment, because there are so many areas of my life I want to change or improve and I feel a bit overwhelmed with all the goals I have set! It just seems that everyone is so successful in every area of their lives and I am really not, hence all the goal setting - but now I just feel even more sub-par and like there is too much to change. Which means I'm worried I won't change anything. Sorry for rambling hehe, and thanks again for this series - it's a breath of fresh air (cliche) after all these videos about best items of 2017 and things we need to buy and generally very materialistic content.     Thank you for this gorgeous video! It makes me so happy that more people are opening up about mental health :) Such an original idea that will help so many, me included!
    To anyone reading who is struggling, things that have helped me in my journey through anxiety and depression include: exercising regularly, writing 3 things I'm grateful for before I go to bed or in the morning and the book 'The Power of Now' by Eckhart Tolle - really did change my outlook on life! I'm currently reading 'The art of Happiness' which I don't think is quite as good as The Power of Now but is also worth a read!

    Hi Lindsey, I discovered your channel through Lizzy's last year and immediately clicked with your personality and what shows through your videos. What a great idea of series, very thoughtful and generous. I know it is very cliché, but what I found helps: writing down when in negative thoughts (whether it's sadness, anger, envy, regrets, etc.), I found the act of writing (with actual pen and paper) very therapeutic. Yoga helps a lot in letting go, stop the continuous thoughts and focus on the present. Going out for a walk in fresh air, on my own, randomly, is soothing and lifts up my spirits. Art (in any form you enjoy, exhibition, literature, cinema) is cathartic and helps focus on beauty in life. I know it's very generic, but it's just sharing ideas. Cheers from France xx

    I work on my own from home, when I'm feeling anxious I turn to You Tube, I watch videos that motivate me ie: Complex who talk to hip hop artists and how they got to where they are today, also documentaries on artists which really inspire and start my motivation building again.
    another great series is London Real, lots of consciousness discussions on there.
    All of which are free
    Re: sleep I lay flat on my back and deep breath, like the yoga relaxation pose, also speak to myself to stop worrying/thinking.

    Thank you SO much for doing this series!!! What a positive breath of fresh air in a place (RUclips in general, not your channel) that is becoming increasingly harmful to our mental health. I struggle with anxiety and depression and really struggle to sleep so this was super helpful! Sadly the pillow spray is sold out online but am going to try and track it down another way :) Hope you are doing well thanks so much for making these videos! xox

    What a great idea for a series! Just to add to the pillow spray - I keep a lavender scented rollerball on hand at work that I can use on my pulse points if I start getting stressed (luckily I'm currently in a relatively stress free work environment so I don't use it often...) & I like having kalms on me. I rarely take them but always feel better if I do - though I would avoid the lavender kalms because they leave a pretty strong taste of lavender... though they do take my mind off any worries because all I can concentrate on is the taste!! I also want to echo someone else's comment and the pill, since switching from one to another I have noticed a difference in my mood (there are other factors at play but I can't deny that there is a correlation) and I currently try to take regular breaks from taking it as well. Thank you for this series, I look forward to the next one :)

    Loved this video, I went back to work last week after 9 weeks off. Things had just got too much and it really made me appreciate how important my mental health is. I’m so proud of myself for being able to get back on the train to London which I honestly didn’t think I would be able to do! Looking forward to the next video xxx

    What a relatable subject, thank you for this. I am currently going through a really tough time with mental health, it's really good to hear some coping mechanisms and to know I am not alone in this. You should also give Lush's Sleepy body lotion a try, I swear by this product at night!

    I know what it’s like when you try to sleep and your mind just. won’t. stop. Therapists usually recommend people with anxiety/depression to have a routine and to try going to bed every night at the same time. I also rely on herbal teas sometimes (eg. lemongrass).

    A great series ❤️. I love the idea of the happiness planner, I'm going to order one later today... I'm a big fan of writing things down and a little bit of organisation to keep my brain okay.. I always find once things are written down they are easier to digest, prioritise and seem overall less MF scary!
    Anxiety and depression is just so regular in this day and age and all of us should focus on us time to give ourselves some love. I say this, but still struggle with doing this on a regular! But we are all human eh!?
    I have recently started using a diffuser in the home.. I use it with organic lavender oil (but you can use any essential / aromatherapy oil) this I've noticed has definitely made an impact on my general well being during the day and I have slept better for it too... I've also invested in two books which I hope will lift me up too. It's a constant challenge but something we should all talk about this kind of thing more, and as you say - share the love & the tips!! Great vid - thank you ❤️❤️❤️

    This video - this series, and your channel - could not have popped up at a greater time for me. (I found this video through Lily Pebbles’ instastory!) My struggle with anxiety has been life long, but I work hard at it and go through long periods where it’s almost non-existing. This january though, it has flared up with a vengeance due to many factors - one being that I haven’t been mindful towards myself, my mental health and What I need to do and not do to be as healthy as possible. THANK YOU for this reminder, and Thank you for this series. I so look forward to your other tips, discovering the rest of your content and to set the intention for a mindful and gentle 2018.     I love the idea of this series. It's so easy to assume that everyone on youtube has got it more sussed than you! A big 'product' thing for me was to change my pill- I had been on mine for ages and it was fine to start with, but changing it has dramatically changed my mood and my life! And in terms of writing/ reading/ journaling... I use a bullet journal which keeps me organised, and each month I write a list of what is going well and what isn't. It has been so eye-opening for such a simple, quick activity :)

    Hi Lindsey, lovely video and idea. You always come across as completely natural and absolutely genuine so a video like this coming from you presents really well. I'm 35 and I feel it's only the last year or so that I've realised or admitted how I'm made up as a person. I know that I'm someone that is guilty of catastrophising the event(s) that is setting me off. I've always imagined it's going to become the worst case scenario for me because I've not had the easiest ride in life. It's only at this age that I'm managing to challenge that in my head before I get carried away; what would I say to my best mate if she was going through it? What has happened in the past when I've experienced something similar? How will I feel in a month or 6 months? Often I find a past experience contradicts what I'm feeling and I realise that I'm worsening it myself. Sometimes the best thing you can gift yourself is a timeout. A walk in the park on my own just listening to the world or the best sort of bath or some one to one time with your dearest folk. I'm keen to pick up on products and tips that give a bit of comfort when I feel at my messiest so I'll be staying tuned to your series. Loving the direction of your channel btw :) you're a real highlight x

    Love this Series already!!
    I struggle with insomnia my whole life and what I have learned is, you can train your brain with rituals into "we are going to sleep in (an hour)". What you are probably doing with your sleep spray, can be basicly anything. Whenever I am very stressed and my whole body starts to get into party-mode (my heartbeat goes up, my mind starts to worry about things that happend like 9 years ago) right before I want to go to bed, I make myself a cup of milk with honey. It is something comforting, which my Mama used to do for me as a kid. It will not fix your sleep but it can train your body to relax.
    Another thing is, getting away from technology at least 30 minutes before bedtime (TV, Laptop, Phone!!!). It really helps!!! I am oftentimes bad at this (and feel the cosequences).

      Also: having pen and paper next to your bed and writing down everything that pops into your head that you want or need to do/remember helps a lot. No matter how stupid it sounds, getting it out of your head on paper makes you more calm.

      Hi Donna! So sorry you're struggling. Thank you so much, I really hope some of these things can help you in some way. I was on medication for a year, a few years ago, when it all first happened and I didn't understand what to do next. Everyone is different but the way it worked for me was that once I started to take control of my happiness, who made me happy, what things made me happy, I asked to be taken off my medication to see how i got on. That's not to say the medication didn't help, it's just such a personal experience and being on medication isn't something to be sad or embarrassed about either xx

My anxiety and depression are never as ravaging as many others’, but this video truly served to remind me that they’re still valid.     Brilliant Lindsey! I'm in my 40's and have had problems for years. I've only just asked for help from GP so this is timely. You're dead right with the sleep issues though it's almost like I suddenly wake up once on the pillow and get more anxious. I'm currently trying the CBT online package through our hospital which is hard going the happiness book is more applealing to me so will purchase. Take care x

      Beverley Thompson I've tried CBT a few times through my GP and found it was not beneficial, actually opposite.. But things like Journalling, visualising and reading books have been far more beneficial. The happiness planner looks fab.. I also love the miracle morning book too. Hope you are feeling better soon xxx

      Kathryn my GP is sceptical but it is a way in to one to one counselling sessions which she thinks is better. I've ordered the happiness planner this morning after Lindseys vid and will look at the musical morning book thanks for the tip 😀

    Love this series idea. thanks lindsay :-) I have actually tried quite a few different pillow sprays because my mom travels a lot for work and gives me them from her hotel visits. The 'this works' brand is definitely my favorite and i prefer the spray to the rollerball version they have too. Have you tried watching ASMR videos? not for everyone but they can be super relaxing and help you fall asleep in no time. I've been struggling with the winter blues since new years, feeling sluggish and not really inspired but today i joined a new gym with a friend and i'm so excited to get out of this funk!!

    Lindsey - you are such a sweetheart! Bless you for starting this series and helping to lessen the stigma and taboo that surrounds mental health.
    I use the stress check breath in roller ball from this works. It is always in my handbag and great for long train journeys or any other stressful situations. It is lavendery- but I love lavender, so it is perfect for me :)
    I am quite sensitive to smells and I actually really found the deep sleep pillow spray to be too much. Unfortunately- the stress roller ball is more for me, as it is less “much” - if that makes sense ?
    I am so looking forward to keeping up with the series !

    Hi Lindsey, I hope you're feeling well today. I found this video by chance and was pleasantly surprised. It has come at a time when I need some support. I have been under some stress recently and I have been off work since yesterday with Repetitive Strain Injury. I thought it would be a good opportunity to share my thoughts, although I will keep it short as I need to rest my arms!
    I have been working so hard in an office environment that I've very recently got to the point where I can no longer work. My Doctor has advised me to treat my right arm as if it is broken for two weeks, and has advised me to use my other arm for computer use, however my other arm is also hurting. I haven't been signed off sick so I'm now kind of confused as what to do?
    Do I work through the pain or sign myself off? I don't expect you to directly answer these questions, it just feels good to write these thoughts down. I think I may return to my Doctor for some further advice as I don't know what to do!
    Anyway this is now adding further stress upon stress even though I know I need to take it easy and I'm supposed to be moving flats by the end of this month. I am very thankful to have a very supportive boyfriend who is making things a lot easier, however I do worry that he may be getting rather stressed too.
    Sometimes I try to look at my own problems objectively as if I was giving advice to a friend, and then I try to apply that advice to myself if that makes sense. I think one of my main issues is that I'm way too hard on myself! And although I don't want anyone else to suffer, it is comforting to know that other people are going though similar emotions.
