    You guys are amazing, so much great info. I was going to pay someone to do my cabinets and was worried as our budget is tight, now I'm motivated to make my own. Inspirational dude, you just made my day.

    You guys are putting together great content on your channel. Keep it up. When cutting the window holes out of the plywood, or any plunge cut for that matter, you can more than likely cut to the edge with the track saw. If you drop the blade to full depth you can run it right to the end of your cut. You would need to put a 2" thick foam core insulation panel (easily bought at lowes for cheap) under the piece you are cutting to get it to the right height and make it easy to run at that depth. An added benefit is you'll save saw blade life not cutting in to the plywood piece below that it looks like you have on your work bench that you've been cutting on in the videos.

      Yeah, I typically just set it to barely score the plywood table and then the worktop is replaceable when needed. Although, I’ve found that it’s lasted about 4 vans so far and I haven’t even flipped it over yet! Good tip!

    if you have a router, you could cut those windows out in place using a flush trim bit. Th fit and finish would be excellent and it would be quick and easy.

    Beautiful build! You make me want to learn to make cabinetry. It seem very intimidating, but you make it look easy.

    Enjoyed watching your process. I’ve build cabinets but in a basement shop with crappy access and a radial arm saw. Just the room to move in your setup is worth days. Also love the separate drill and driver. Not a ton of tools but seems very well thought out choices.

    Seems like the Promasters have a truly square interior. When I did cabinetry in my Transit Connect, I found that the ceiling and walls taper, ever so slightly, towards the back. My upper cabinets, as well as my galley, had to have compound angles in order to fit properly. To echo Seth's sentiments, that's why you have to build them from scratch. You really can't modify an IKEA cabinet to fit snuggly in a van.

    I'm really enjoying these videos. You're a great team. Are these vans selling to viewers / followers or do you manage to sell them to a local market before the videos even drop?

    Nice, how deep and high are those upper cabinets?
    Also, what thickness and type of wood do you use for the walls?
    Thanks a lot, would be very helpful for our European van build.

    Yo! Love the channel, just subscribed recently!
    Something triggers me though.. is your footage raw without any filter / color correction? Cause it's HD and crisp but the colors are faded. That's classic of a raw footage straight from camera. The better the camera the "flatter" the image, to allow maximum freedom in post-production. It's not meant to be used as is! If you are using Adobe Premiere, I suggest you the "Cinespace 50" effect :D

    • @scarletandseth
      @scarletandseth  3 года назад

      Hey Wilson, if you’re talking about Log footage, we shoot in and grade in that for our van tours! As far as RAW, if you mean it in the sense of uncompressed 444 footage, we don’t have a camera that is capable of that. We shoot in a fairly regular profile and while it is a bit flatter than some things on RUclips, since these are pretty informal, and the conditions are not the most ideal we don’t really grade these build videos too heavily once they are shot. We actually use DaVinci Resolve for all our editing/color work! Thanks for watching and for the input!

      @@scarletandseth damn! I see. My own personal choice would be to crank up the colors and the contrast a little bit. But you do you! :)

    I have a Ford Transit cargo van 2017 paid off!! I live in Maryland and theres a shop that i went to its a conversion van but the price its 40K and thats not happening please if you build my van i can only do up to 30K but I don’t want something expensive i just want a cheap build and simple! Please any one one that will build my van for 30K cash? I can only do cash or direct deposit. If you can do it for 20K or less it will be great but 30k its the max i will give im not passing over that price at all. Please let me know anyone

    Warning being a small time van builder myself you are using way too many nails for a van build. It will be a rattle trap overtime.Ask RV owners. Look at all the money you could save on wood putty.lol

    • @scarletandseth
      @scarletandseth  3 года назад

      We use nails and wood glue for the initial hold an then screw everything in. Not sure how that would cause a rattle trap. Ours has been going strong for 2+ years with no sound issues and we didn’t even use wood glue.

      Zachary Zarko I appreciate the suggestion but most recently (Oct-Nov 2020) reviews have some 1 star with comments that the app works on Safari but is problematic otherwise. I watch on a smartphone, and never via safari.
