had a similar experience today. Played what I thought was going to be my last rapid game of the day, noticed I'm 3 points away from reaching 1400 for the first time. The temptation got to me. And that's how I went from 1397 to 1350 in 15+10.
The stress of that final push always gets me😂

Eric's "Style Points" @16:16 made me realize just how trash I am. I never would have found that pawn queening as "fancy" as I've ever play.
I usually stumble into fancy tactics, i find if I focus on achieving something, I get tunnel vision and miss other important aspects of the game. Focus on generally improving your play. Centralizing your pieces, attacking, etc. Through that you'll learn tactics in a hands-on sense.
Rosen's content is always a blessing, especially on Christmas day!

The difference in time between 1 minute berserk between you and your opponent is 30 seconds. The difference for 2 minute berserk is 1 minute. Some may find that although you have less time, your opponent having less time comparatively makes the game easier.

How the fuck does Eric Rosen keep surviving and stalemating with 0.5 seconds left? Many situations where I would have easily flagged him (ok, probs wouldn't get those situations in the first place) but the opponent, high rated bullet players keep taking a whole second per move.

If I'm honest, I don't find these really short time limit games as interesting or instructive. Just too fast to follow.
Fast games are meant to be fun, not instructive. Every move is played instinctively.
