The sophisticated chord progression of this spectacular sonata sounds so much alike of what would be later used by Rachmaninoff. Yet they never met (Rachmaninoff was born nearly 25 years after Chopin's death). It's simply the most amazing phenomenon when one can travel freely in time.

This was a very thoughtful performance by Yujia. I felt it showed quite remarkable insight into the depths of this musically demanding sonata. Thank you for the down load

She's the best pianist of of our time, no doubt in my mind.

I consider this sonata one of the few most difficult piano works, technically and even more so musically. Yet Yujia played it so effortlessly beautiful. That said, I don't think I am a fan to the taste of her stage apparel. 😱😜

Usually I don't like Yuja Wang's Chopin. Too mannered and unnatural. But here I must say that her interpretation of this sonata is superb.

Try his preludes by her at La Fenice. My mouth stayed open many times...

@@brkahn I know her Chopin Preludes at La Fenice, and I do not like them. Most of the time she is utterly mannered and this sounds fabricated. Sorry.

@@rigel48 Never be sorry if you have a well founded opinion. Just argue it out, cathy

Une sonate qui dépasse bien celle de Beethoven et seulement 10 doigts pour jouer le clair de lune de Beethoven s'estompe devant le rayonnement solaire cette musique
