03:28 - You can also just upload the new cover and replace the PB cover the same way. We wanted the ability to still be able to order old covers, on Ingram, if needed. New isbn allows that! Sorry, I wasn’t completely clear!
For me, learning to write is about not fighting yourself. Figure out what works best for you, and do that. When it comes to drafting, tracking time is what works best for me. I know I can sit down for 2 hours every day of the week for 4-6 weeks and finish a book. I don't stress over word count, I don't stress if I'm not feeling it and I need to take a day off because I know if I keep my butt in the chair the words will come.

I'm the exact same way re: word count vs. chapters. My brain likes finishing things and checking boxes, so I plan my writing schedule in terms of scenes/chapters. I'm also terrible at taking breaks that don't include checking email, working on graphics, etc. Taking intentional time off is on my list of goals for 2022. Another great Q&A video! Making yourself take productive breaks is a serious mind-test. My mind cannot see a break as productive lol, but I also realize the importance of breaks.

Happy Post Holidays Court! I hope you had a great Christmas and enjoyed all the pie and coffee you could hold lol. As usual great Q&A sesh. My first drafts go significantly faster using your live streams and replays. As well as understanding that writing in the AM for me is just a no - go because of the many distractions in my current environment. So, understanding your own situation was great advice. Plus not comparing yourself to everyone around you as we all write and create at different rates.
Yessssss to all of this! Lol, it’s hard for me to write during the day unless I’m live streaming with you guys! My brain doesn’t like to function until the sun sets! 😂😂😂

I love these videos and get so pumped for them! I learn something new every time. Preorders on Amazon give me so much freaking anxiety and it’s something that holds me back so I won’t put one up until I’m sure I’ll be publishing when I say I will. Oh, and I’m just like you when it comes to word count goals. I have to give myself chapter goals. It feels more attainable I think.

Sticky books...peanut butter blurbs...there's some room for a great title of an offering there... hmm 🧐
Focusing on chapters seems to help me, as well. Katytastic does this with post it notes on her wall with the number of chapters that will be in the book so she can have the visual reward of removing them one by one as she finishes a chapter. Anyone else try this? I am thinking about doing this soon for my next project 🤓
