Rogue could push Ruby off because he stepped on the triangle trap, with him being the 7th person on it, (including Ruby) the device only had the capability to hold 6 prisoners, so by stepping on it, it let Ruby step off, reason why he managed to push her off. The reason why he kissed the Dr. was so he could steal the button from the Doctor's hand while taking him by surprise with a kiss so that he wouldn't object and not reach him while sacrificing himself. Ps. I love your reactions You're hilarious 😂 Can we be friends 🥹✨️
I only just realised this myself during Murk's reaction. Rogue had to do it quick otherwise one of the aliens could have grabbed the opportunity and stepped off instead.
Funny enough, this episode reminded me of that Titanic episode with Kylie Minogue, having The Doctor fall in love with someone who sacrifices themselves to save the day.
That face you didn't recognize in the holograms is most likely Richard E. Grant, the alternate Ninth Doctor from Scream of the Shalka. He was also Walter Simeon in The Snowmen and the Great Intelligence in The Name of the Doctor. So now we have yet another case of a canon incarnation of the Doctor looking like someone else.
The list of that is quite expansive, and technically every classic Doctor save 3 & 7 (and 8, if you count him as 'classic') had one at some point on television. 1: Abbot of Amboise (and a robot duplicate of him made by the Daleks) 2: Salamander 4: Meglos 5: Omega 6: Maxil It tickles me that those last two happened in the same story, Arc of Infinity.
Somewhat agree. What I meant is he was feeling all those things because he was tremendously conflicted to make the sudden decision of losing Ruby and saving the Universe. So he was vulnerable and not in his senses for a few seconds. And during that time, Rogue planted a kiss which the doctor could barely register for a few seconds. This season has established several times that this Doctor is the most sensitive and emotional of any past versions.
Nerd moment for me. Rogues were only named as such after 3rd Ed D&D in 2000. For the majority of the game's prior history they were known as thieves. This does bring us around to why someone was playing D&D before 1813. I had assumed Rogue was a human alien but D&D seems like a very earth based cultural concept although it has allusions to roleplaying that run through the episode. So does he have time travel? If the aliens picked up Earth TV broadcast in the 21st century, probably hundreds of lightyears away, do they have time travel too?
Thanks for a great reaction to this somewhat filler episode. I kinda liked the last 20 minutes, though. The character of Rouge looks to be a mix between Captain Jack and River Song. I'm in for it if they bring him back.👌
It’s a reaction video, the whole point of it is how he reacts, defeats the purpose if he’s stopping and thinking what to say about what’s just happened.
This episode was my least favourite so far. The flirty Doctor is great and the romance with Rogue was okay, but felt way too rushed and forced, it would have been better over two or three episodes. Cosplaying aliens? Doesn't really fit into the whole supernatural theme of the season. But what really bored me was the whole Bridgerton setting, so overrated and cliche. Would have been better to set the story in 1913 or 2013. This Period piece needed a tampon to stop my eyes, ears and brain from bleeding.
It felt rush like with Madam de Pompadour and other whirlwind one episode romances by the previous doctors or is this only an issue this time because it’s between two men?
@@ColinBridgerton As part of the LGBTQI+ myself I have no issue that it was between two men. I would have liked to see the romance develop naturally rather then be crammed into one episode.Sacrificing yourself for someone you just met a few hours ago in the name of Love? The only thing I thought throughout this whole episode was "What the hell Russell and Disney?" for 61 years the Doctor was always an a-sexual alien now all of a sudden he falls in love with some random dude it's makes no sense and the romance kiss really hit the nail in the coffin for me.
Huh, it was absolutely brilliant Who ep… Just say it that you have issues with gay characters and be done? Though are both alien and the doctor been an alien that changes gender, personalities etc wouldn’t be straight/gay but all of the above… Ncuti again showing he is a brilliant Doctor too…
@@jamesanthony3072 very presumptive given that I am gay. My issue is the story is completely underwritten, throwaway fluff. That's exactly what I thought lmao there's something with television this season
Very entertaining episode. I liked the aliens and their motives. Liked both the fun and scary bits. Good fun.

Think he kissed the doctor to get the button from him 😊
Agreed
It's more so why did the doctor allow it in that stressful situation?
Im guessing he was vulnerable, couldnt think clearly, mind was an absolutr wreck, etc @@snakebabyfc

Rose's mom once asked her if hearts were the only thing the doctor has 2 of, and didn't get a response lmao so we never know 😂💀
Either Rogue kissed The Doctor as part of a distraction or he genuinely has feelings for him
