Yes, that was all Dimash singing. No he does not use editing in a way to produce anything he can't do with his voice. In short: He is the one man where you can be sure the live show on stage will always sound exactly the same as the videoclip. Because he doesn't bring anything to your ear that he cannot do. This whole process took 3 years in the making. Dimash wrote the story, composed the music, wrote the screenplay & produced the video. Dimash is not signed to any label & does it all himself. He has his own production company & all of his mv's are created by him. To really understand the story here, you need to watch more than once. It's heart-wrenching when you get it. Just to let you know, Dimash doesn’t speak 12 languages. He speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently, is pretty good in English and has some phrases in Chinese. He has sung songs in over 12 languages. When he has a concert in another country, he usually learns a song in that country’s language. He is so considerate and respectful. He is very educated, has several music degrees, plays a few instruments, constantly trying to improve himself. Thank you from U.K.

In The Story Of One Sky he composed and sang the whole soundtrack himself. The video shows once again that Dimash is an absolute genius. In composing, in singing but also as an actor and as a storyteller. The powerful message conveyed by this video is more relevant today than ever. I think this video is mostly about the message. This message however, is for the first time more important than his vocal abilities. His voice is just the tool in this video. But simply unbelievable. His singing is indescribable and I don’t have the words to express it adequately. But it is only the mediator of what this video is about. This is so heartbreaking and sad and an awesome masterpiece. Pure goosebumps. You probably have to see it more than once to understand it. He worked on this composition for three years and also wrote the screenplay. The premiere was on September 24, 2022. As some have mentioned, this video should be seen by many people. It may be very brutal for some. But let’s not forget that for many, including children, this is everyday life in some countries. And Dimash relentlessly shows us how ugly war is. During his concerts he always tells the audience he loves all people in every country. He visited so many different counties with his concerts and he realized that there are no bad nations (only bad leaders). And OMG he is such a phenomenal actor. Dimash was the little boy who was drowning in the beginning and he gave the necklace to his childhood friend (and future leader) and the girl. The girl on the beach was his future wife. She was pregnant and in the end of the video she gave birth to her and Dimashs' (character) second child. The littel girl who was shot was Dimashs and her first daughter. When he came home and saw his daughter dead on the ground, he had to assume that his wife and unborn child were also killed. Desperation and maybe revenge has led him to kill his former friend. When I first saw the video, I was shocked. I didn't think he was going to shoot his friend. But in the end that all made sense. Dimash wanted to show what revenge can do. Violence always breeds violence, and because of this, not only is the leader dead, but so is Dimash. It was so heartbreaking to see Dimash drown at the end. Dimash in the last sequence of the video was the baby that was born and now as a grown man unites people of different nationalities and religions for peace. In this video you can see how the main religions are represented mostly with his voice. Islam with the type of Arabic melisma (unfortunately I don't know the correct explanation for this type of singing), Buddhism with the monks and the enchanting "Om", Judaism with the shofar and the Christian church with the soprano singing, which often can be heard in churches. He opened the eyes of his critical compatriots. Today, Dimash is his country's "cultural ambassador" and a "national treasure" (no official title). He himself is a proud Kazakh and patriot and is passionately committed to peace in the world.
Dimash plays at least 7 instruments, traditional dombra is a must in Kazakh familys. He speaks 3 languages: Kazakh (mother tongue), Russian without an accent (second language in Kazakhstan) and English. So far he sings in 16 languages (phonetically). Dimash says dancing is difficult for him. But he moves great on stage and his hands speak. He is a grandios and sensitive story teller. This whole process took 3 years in the making. Dimash wrote the story, composed the music, wrote the screenplay & produced the video. Dimash is not signed to any label & does it all himself. He has his own production company & all of his mv's are created by him. To really understand the story here, you need to watch more than once. It's heart-wrenching when you get it.

(1) Dimash composed the song and participated in the arrangement, in addition to acting in the mini-film. The lyrics of the song and Russian poet Lilia Vinogradova and the video direction by Alina Veripya!
(2) The artifact that the boy found in the trunk and that was turned into necklaces is a "gnomon", a needle for a sundial (a rustic device for keeping time);
(3) The name "Piper" (piper, or piper) is known as a synonym for "dictator", "despot": This originates from the tale of the "Pied Piper of Hamelin" (folk tale rewritten by the Brothers Grim), where a piper was hired to deal with the rat infestation of the city of Hamelin (Germany, 1284). (5) The final text is part of the document generated at the 2019 Congress of World Religious Leaders and the music presented at the VII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, held in Nur-Sultan (Kazakhstan) on 14/09/2022 and was attended by of Pope Francis, representing the Catholic Church and who presented Dimash, on the occasion, with a medal of gratitude.

Just to let you know, Dimash doesn’t speak 12 languages. He speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently, is pretty good in English and has some phrases in Chinese. He has sung songs in over 12 languages. When he has a concert in another country, he usually learns a song in that country’s language. He is so considerate and respectful. He is very educated, has several music degrees, plays a few instruments, constantly trying to improve himself. Thank you from U.K.

👉 That is the grandiose and impressive result of three years of compositional work by Dimash Qudaibergen.
This clip is not about war, it’s about peace. War here is a means of expressing the contrast of what happens when we lose love for one another. It is about the call to unite, to stop dividing each other along national, social, religious lines in order to preserve life, love, friendship, and the land for our children.
Story: The clip is divided into several parts. One day the friend saves the protagonist when he almost drowns. The three children are friends and their common external symbol is the necklace (gnomon).
Both boys are in love with the girl. But she chooses “Dimash”. The other boy feels hurt.
The pendant is a gnomon, the shadow hand of a sundial, which served as a nautical compass in ancient times. This symbol is upside down on the uniforms. (That's not how it works.)
It's war. The children are grown and the two boys have parted ways. Dimash's childhood friend has become the country's president/general and mercilessly follows his twisted ideology.
As an antagonist (He is the Piper - based on the “Pied Piper of Hamelin”), he carries the idea of a saving war:
“Only war will lead us to peace. Only the strongest can find love in their hearts. You must be strong enough to give freedom to the world. A world where every city, every home is one. We accompany everyone who is ready to start this new life. Anyone who resists has no place with us. I choose freedom. The world is my oyster and I want to give it to you… War is the way to a united people!”
The main character, Dimash, also speaks of unity, of peace, but through the lens of kindness and love.
He's struggling, he's confused, he's in shock, but he has to save his family - his pregnant wife and his young daughter.
When he finally comes home, he is horrified to discover that his entire family has been killed. His wife has disappeared and his little daughter is dead. The loss of his daughter almost drives him crazy.
(Dimash says in a growling voice: Адам керуен, өмір жол. Man is a caravan, life is a road. - Kazakh proverb)
He wants revenge and an end to the horror. He shoots the general, his childhood friend and former lifesaver... and is killed himself.
The protagonist's wife survives with the help of people who know that she is the one who will give birth to a special child.
The many pilgrims are people of all religions who walk together the arduous path to the light, to a place of hope, truth and peace.
One day, the protagonist's son grew up to be one of their leaders.
The words at the end of the video are from the "Document on Human Fraternity for World Peace and Living Together" signed by Pope Francis and the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Ahmad el-Tayeb, on February 4, 2019. Dimash met and spoke with both men at the September meeting.

My opinion: The whole song is an outcry. Dimash's unmistakable emotionally charged voice draws you into the video. I was totally hypnotized. My heart aches because of the wars and misery in this world. The greed, envy and intolerance of men will wipe them off the face of the earth if they do not come to their senses. Children and women are targeted victims of annihilation and rape in wars. But they are not just victims or mothers. They are half of humanity. Where are they? Why don't the women climb the mountain side by side with the men and head towards the sunrise and a better future? I only see men running mercilessly past a collapsed comrade-in-arms. Nobody helps him. What future can such a humanity await? Will anything ever change?

In The Story Of One Sky he composed and sang the whole soundtrack himself.
The video shows once again that Dimash is an absolute genius. In composing, in singing but also as an actor and as a storyteller. The powerful message conveyed by this video is more relevant today than ever. I think this video is mostly about the message. This message however, is for the first time more important than his vocal abilities. His voice is just the tool in this video. But simply unbelievable. His singing is indescribable and I don’t have the words to express it adequately. But it is only the mediator of what this video is about. This is so heartbreaking and sad and an awesome masterpiece. Pure goosebumps. You probably have to see it more than once to understand it.
He worked on this composition for three years and also wrote the screenplay.

As some have mentioned, this video should be seen by many people. It may be very brutal for some. But let’s not forget that for many, including children, this is everyday life in some countries. And Dimash relentlessly shows us how ugly war is. During his concerts he always tells the audience he loves all people in every country. He visited so many different counties with his concerts and he realized that there are no bad nations (only bad leaders).
And OMG he is such a phenomenal actor.
Dimash was the little boy who was drowning in the beginning and he gave the necklace to his childhood friend (and future leader) and the girl. The girl on the beach was his future wife. She was pregnant and in the end of the video she gave birth to her and Dimashs' (character) second child. The littel girl who was shot was Dimashs and her first daughter. When he came home and saw his daughter dead on the ground, he had to assume that his wife and unborn child were also killed. Desperation and maybe revenge has led him to kill his former friend. When I first saw the video, I was shocked. I didn't think he was going to shoot his friend. But in the end that all made sense. Dimash wanted to show what revenge can do. Violence always breeds violence, and because of this, not only is the leader dead, but so is Dimash. It was so heartbreaking to see Dimash drown at the end. Dimash in the last sequence of the video was the baby that was born and now as a grown man unites people of different nationalities and religions for peace.
In this video you can see how the main religions are represented mostly with his voice. Islam with the type of Arabic melisma (unfortunately I don't know the correct explanation for this type of singing), Buddhism with the monks and the enchanting "Om", Judaism with the shofar and the Christian church with the soprano singing, which often can be heard in churches.

By the way Dimash has received an award from Pope Francis personally at The Congress of the Leaders of World and Traditional Religions held in Kazakhstan on September 13, 2022. He performed the song there in connection with the congress before the premiere. Can you imagine, a Muslim receiving an award from the head of the Catholic Church. How wonderful is that🥰.
