Hello friend! 🙂 Thank you for your sincere reaction, you are absolutely not crazy, you figured out the characters right the start! When I first watched this MV, it broke me, I became very emotional, it was heart wrenching, to say the least!
Have you noticed that Dimash is the main solder right from the very beginning of the war scene, when he was walking under the overpass, also when he was shot in the arm, many people miss that?
Dimash has worked very hard for 3 years composing the music for this song, and around 20 days to make this MV. It turned out to be his most valuable MV, in the ideological sense, ever made, a real Masterpiece! I believe that Dimash deserves THE NOBEL PEACE PRIZE for his selfless hard work and tireless efforts, not only for this MV, but for trying to bring the world together in love, peace, and harmony and through his many charities. He is a Legend in the making and will go down in History.
This is my breakdown of the story, as I see it:
This mini movie is full of symbolisms, it's the story of 3 youths, and the necklace which was created by the young Dimash and shared with his friends symbolizing lifelong friendship and unity. The boys both loved the same girl, but she loved Dimash, so the other boy grew resentful over time, started a war, using the symbol of the necklace given to him by his friend Dimash, as the crest on his army uniform.
1) Dimash, was the boy drowning at the beginning and at the end.
2) The Piper, is the one who saved Dimash, became the leader, and was killed by Dimash at the end.
3) The young girl, who died in childbirth, became Dimash’s future wife, had two children together; a daughter who was killed by the Piper's army; and the birth of a son who inherited the necklace from his mother…, they were all affected by the war.
“People are the caravan…. Life is the way”: Dimash spoke these words in Kazakh, when he found his daughter dead.
For the symbolic aspects, Dimash is showing the different cultures and religions (Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Hindi, etc.), through throat singing, which is called the REQUIEM (mass for the souls of the dead), from different religions. The Pilgrim or (Shepard or a Wise Man) at the end of the video was Dimash’s baby boy, born in his image and grows up to guide the Representatives of different religions and race from different Nations to the light, for a new beginning living together in peace, tolerance, love, and harmony.

(1) The two boys competed for the girl's attention;
(2) The character (who Dimash represents as an adult) created a symbol to confirm the friendship between the three, after being saved by his friend;
(3) Still in the video we see the girl choose "Dimash" and then they get married and have the little girl (who was killed) as a daughter and the mother is pregnant with another boy;
(4) The oldest boy (who saved "Dimash" from drowning) does not accept being abandoned by the girl and becomes a dictator president/general;
(5) Dimash becomes a soldier who decides to return from combat to protect his war refugee family;
(6) Dimash finds his daughter dead and thinks that his wife had also died, so he decides to take revenge on his friend;
(7) He kills the dictator and is killed regretting the violence he committed in life;
(8) Dimash's wife is well received by people of different religions who agree that Dimash's son is someone special;
(9) The wife dies in childbirth and Dimash's son becomes a leader who leads the refugees to a better place of tolerance, respect and acceptance.

The woman was the girl in the beginning of the video. She gave birth to their son. The little girl who was shot was their daughter 😢❤

The clip is divided into several parts. The first one is about childhood. The main character, his 2 friends are connected by childhood stories and symbols of eternal friendship. One day the friend saves the Protagonist when he drowns. However, there is already competition in this children’s story, as the boys are in love with one girl, and she chooses one. The second experiences a kind of psychological breakdown and transfers the children’s problems into the adult world of totalitarianism and struggle.
By becoming president, the Antagonist carries the idea of a saving war:
“Only war will lead us to peace. Only the strongest can find love in their hearts. You must be strong enough to give the world freedom. A world where every city, every home is one. We will lead all who are ready to begin this new life. Anyone who resists has no place with us. I choose freedom. The world is open before me, and I want to give it to you. War for the people is the way to unity.”
The main character also speaks of unity, of peace, but through the lens of kindness and love.
While fighting, he is confused, he is in shock, but he has to save his family - his pregnant wife (the very girl from his childhood) and his daughter. Once home, he is horrified by the picture of the dead and realizes that his family is also dead. After surviving this drama, he moves on to the antagonist to seek revenge.
However, the Protagonist’s wife survives with the help of people who know that she is the one who must give birth to a special boy who can save the world. These are people of different nationalities and faiths who have united for peace."
Congrats on the reaction! Well, some considerations:
(1) Dimash composed the song and participated in the arrangement, in addition to acting in the mini-film. The lyrics of the song and Russian poet Lilia Vinogradova and the video direction by Alina Veripya!
(2) The artifact that the boy found in the trunk and that was turned into necklaces is a "gnomon", a needle for a sundial (a rustic device for keeping time);
(3) The name "Piper" (piper, or piper) is known as a synonym for "dictator", "despot": This originates from the tale of the "Pied Piper of Hamelin" (folk tale rewritten by the Brothers Grim), where a piper was hired to deal with the rat infestation of the city of Hamelin (Germany, 1284). Символ в клипе -это часть старого китайского компаса и как его повернуть- туда и путь( поэтому на шее он острым в верх, а на форме генерала вниз ( кстати генерал его на шею так и не одел)
Девочка не спаслась, но мать и жену, которая родит 'особого' младенца спасли люди, спрятали в старом храме, где она рожает.
Люди, которые идут по пустыне- это другой мир- мир веры в Бога. Все они идут к свету и к Богу. И в настоящем мире и в духовном идёт борьба. Некоторые духовные люди тоже не выдерживают трудного пути, но все идут к свету и младенец рождён для этого пути.
У Димаша в клипах всегда много метаморфоз и смысла. Где жизнь- там смерть, раненый солдат спасается в свинарнике, всё циклично и все возвращается в воду из которой всё начинается, религий много, но все идут к свету, свет- это жизнь и любовь.
Господи, спасибо Димашу за это чудо! Ему никогда не дадут премию за этот шедевр- это не интересно, не приносит денег и опасно для понимания. Самое красивое сейчас- поющие трусы! А людям нужна правда, она поможет выжить

Excellent reaction. Dimash and the woman were husband and wife, the girl who dies is their daughter, she gives birth to their second child, the mother also dies if you look closely. Then this child grows up and is identical to his father, and leads all religions in a utopian but beautiful dream of a future without wars.

Однако жена Главного героя выжила с помощью людей, знающих, что именно она должна родить особенного мальчика, способного спасти мир. Это люди разных национальностей и конфессий, которые объединились ради мира.

Yes. it's not a Music Video - but a Mini-Movie - with a Maxi-Message! Dimash, and his production team, created this Masterpiece and presented it to the MULTI-FAITH CONGRESS that was held in Kazakhstan { in 2022?}. You're right; it deserves multiple Awards.
The Pope was attending there and after viewing this, presented Dimash with an AWARD to acknowledge "The Story Of One Sky" { that we all live under} - as a 'Significant contribution toward World Peace'. Yes, we all live on this one 'Pale Blue Dot' {check out this image } on this one spinning ball of rock in the universe - and it's about time we learned how to get along. Otherwise, as many fear, the 'Mad Pipers' will dance us all straight over the edge of our very own self-created extinction cliff. We CAN be better than this. We are supposed to be 'the intelligent species'...
[ ## Aussie here ### For those who are watching and DON'T Know! > This is NOT how you do CPR on someone you are trying to save from Drowning! The Compressions need to be 3 X Faster than shown here- deeper (even at risk of rib cracking!) and as soon as the water and vomit starts to come out MUST IMMEDIATELY Turn the person Onto Their SIDE so they don't aspirate (breath back in) the water and sand and other 'muck' -> let gravity help to drain it out - and then keep going with the compressions until pulse is steady. THEN get them to a hospital to check the lungs are completely clear. # What a lot of people don't know is that a person can STILL 'drown'! - when back home after such an incident - if they still have some fluid or muck left in their lungs when they lie down to sleep. * The boy actor here has a lovely smile [ artistic licence! ] - but have NEVER seen a near-drowning survivor smile after a near death experience. I was shouting at you through the screen to stop closing your eyes & turning away from the screen, because you were missing so much!!! Please watch it again & keep watching! You completely missed that the woman & Dimash were married & had a little girl & they were expecting a 2nd child. When a war weary Dimash went back to his family home, he found his entire family dead, including his little girl. I think you missed that the soldier shot her. His wife has been taken somewhere safer to give birth, but Dimash believed she had been killed with the rest of his family, had nothing left, so went to stop his old friend, the Dictator. The woman died giving birth, hence the necklace being on the baby, so all 3 characters from the beginning of the story were now dead. The baby grew up & carried on his fathers work striving for peace. So he was 'Dimash' at the end leading the people to safety. Or it may have been Dimash's spirit leading them into the light 🤔
The displaced people walking through the wilderness were from all different cultures/religions.
