Finally found a vid that shows the same obd scanner, DTC and car model as mine. Hehe
Hoping there was a check to see if the part was actually faulty before replacing it. But this is terrific info anyways.
    Thanks!

Before replacing, it is worth measuring the resistance of the contacts. It should be between 30 and 40 ohms. Any other value indicates a fault. If the resistance is correct, check the vacuum line for leaks.

Hey what were your symptoms/problems this was causing? Currently have a Volvo C30 with the 2L duratec that uses the same unit as this, Volvo garage is being super vague in what they want to replace but I believe its this, as it makes sense from what I understand of the problem (OBD2 reader on the way so I can confirm the codes myself).
My current issue is that the engine loses power when it gets up to temperature for a bit, especially when sat without moving air over the engine.

The car would feel like it had lost power and you had to get the car to high reva to pull away else it would stall. Also used a scan tool and came up with the code p2008 and did some research on Google 👍 hope this helps

@@greasemonkey6159 Ah so reasonbly similar then! I'll have to wait til tomorrow to see what the reader says to confirm (its in the mail). At the moment its not so bad to the point where it stalls without high revs, but putting your foot down you get a big load of not much, feels like its 2 or 3 gears higher than it is from the way it moves.
