that's why they turned to dsg gearboxes at low powered cars. torque converter takes all the power so that's why the car is slow slow.if that Mazda had manual gearbox it will easily do 0-100 at 12-13 seconds and top speed 170-180km/h
My Fiat Grande Punto 2009 has 1.2 motor with 66hp and he is going like fucking beast.My top speed is something like 190 Km/h on the autobahn in Germany, after 120 km/h in 5th gear he is having so much power that is insane and I wish that he have 6th gear, that would be great. 😂

Meiner ist Baugleich, nur als Schalter und mit dem schaff ich 200km/h. Dauert zwar bis der auf die Geschwindigkeit kommt aber es klappt. Ich fahr immer Je nachdem wie der Verkehr ist, 180-200 km/h, deshalb bin ich sehr verwundert über das Testergebnis

After 4.5K it barley pulls the car and doesn't change the gear and keeps pushing slowly till 6K rpm.

I've bought an Kia 1.6 crdi for my wife. At first was this slow, but after a while, with me at the wheel, the max speed increased from 140 to 180!

I'm 6'4" tall and this car has the best driving position I ever tried. Similar to 2006 renault megane. Excellent seating position.
This Mazda does have broken gearbox clutch for sure. I used to drive exactly the same 1.4 automatic I it was much better on high rpm

The gear changes should occur between 4.5k and 5k rpm even at full throttle.

I absolutely agree. Our DY has almost 200000 km and shows no sign of age. It likes to drive at low revs. You should keep that in mind if you have one.
Not true Vauxhall corsa ecotech, are way more economic and way faster, but my Mazda 2 , 1.25 petrol is faster than this one
