I purchase this car as I needed a run around for contract work. It is the 1.4d that I purchased and was amazed by the fuel economy on motor way if keeping it just under 65mph. Although it was great on fuel it was very slow (sluggish) to 60mph. So I recently purchased a bluespark ecu plug in box and performance air filter. Now this car is a pleasure to drive and recommend this upgrade. Great little car.
Hey, good to see you doing tours. I liked the Mazda 2. It was the first car I ever drove abroad . It was before I started my in depth tours thought. Just about to watch the merc video :D. Edit: sorry it wasn’t a Mazda 2 I drive it was a Mazda 1. It was a fun little car anyway :)
Thank you, Matt. I have similar videos for other cars, too. Some were released a few months ago, and I have more finished and ready to go at some point. The Mazda 1 certainly has its strengths. Glad you enjoyed driving it. Mazda make some great cars. I particularly like the 2021 Mazda 6 and - of course - the MX5. Best wishes.
hi, can the coolant leak be fixed with one of those radiator sealant solutions ? Also does the MK2 Mazda 2 dy have a timing chain instead of timing belt ? Many thanks
Hello. The coolant leak on this car was fixed by replacing the expansion tank. As for chain or belt, the Mazda 2 is available with different engines. You'll need to research the specific engine of interest. Best wishes.
I like the review is with a real world use car of it's age. Built in Ford's Spanish factory apparently. Perhaps like with the Ford Probe and MX-6 you might find the Mazda servicing was better but Ford parts cheaper, but much might have changed since then.
Thanks Nta16. That car has certainly seen life. The coolant leak is fixed now. It needed a new expansion tank. The old one had a crack on its base. Best wishes.

Glad you're enjoying your car. Best wishes.
Very interesting look round this old workhorse - and it's still going. Great real life vid.
Glad you enjoyed the video. The Mazda's cooling system has now been fixed. It's running perfectly.

@@CarSpyTV oh great I look forward to them!
Very nice to learn a little about this car.
Glad you enjoyed the video.
I love the tall boot. Never funnqhen something won't ONLY because of the boot door slope
Indeed. Plenty of boot space with the rear seats flat.

Oh, did the spider become a subspider your channel?
'Subspider.' Love it. He's now subscribed to both our channels.
@@CarSpyTV haha, that made me chuckle. Cheers 🥂
If only I could keep my car that clean... :-)
Kids and dogs, by any chance?

@@CarSpyTV easy fix and fresh new coolant, all it needs now is a foldable shovel in the cabin. 🙂
Sigur e mașină sau pubelă de gunoi?
Bit of both!
Its my first car and its fun to drive... but its kinda ugly tbh :D
Good choice for a first car. If needed, there are a few how to videos on this channel.
@@CarSpyTV Thank you very much for your advice!
