    Thinks 5 times before buying discounted instruments from them. I bought a sax from their store a few weeks ago and in the store I was told that this sax was carefully checked a few days back. I was happy to hear that (I couldn´t check the sound because I had more that 5 years of break from playing saxophone)
    When I started to practice I started to notice lots of thing that brought me to the local technician who inspected the licks and told that it is a factory work and he demostrated me a few huge licks as the unflat tone whole of C note and a few pads on the lower register. That took him 3 minutes to find those lick. Carrently my sax is in the workishop waiting its turn for repair and I have no idea how much it will coast me.
    Thanks for an amazing experience sax uk

    Thanks a lot for this review. I've been playing for around 30 years and never got into recording myself. This video made me want to. I just ordered this mic and some Shure se215 IEMs. Looking forward to improving my playing and making some videos on my phone. Are there any apps you recommend for android users for editing or recording?

    I have a template for my alto on Ableton and it's very simple to set up. My ears are my guide after many years of playing live, being recorded and working on my own music. Ita all a matter of experience, attitude and playing skills( tone and volume variation).

    Hobby player here and have been wanting to try recording. Very interested in this mic at this price point. Android user. What app would I use to record to?

    • @strat926
      @strat926 5 месяцев назад +1

      Hi there, it depends on the Android models. For example, the Samsung models that have pro video mode are compatible. While other models might need to download 3rd party app like open camera or black magic camera to activate the external mic.

      @strat926 thank you. I have a Samsung s23 ultra which I believe has the pro audio.
      Dumb question... is there a way to use just the mic and a headset to hear yourself playing live with the special effects? Or do you need any other equipment?

    • @strat926
      @strat926 5 месяцев назад +1

      @@gregevans2885 You can power the mic up with any type of USB-C and hear yourself with all the effects (if you want) without hitting the record button. However, it wasn't designed as a mic for live performance. Let me know if anythings not clear

      @strat926 sorry if this is a very amateur question. I would love to hear the reverb effects while playing at home. Is this possible? Or would it only be possible by wearing a headset connected to the mic? Or are the reverb effects only heard in a video/ audio recording during playback of said video/ audio?
      Thank you for your time answering my questions. I'd like to order one.

      @@gregevans2885 hi
      Since it’s a mic, it doesn’t have a speaker to let you hear the sound out loud. You must have a mic + speaker to do so. Don’t feel sorry, we all have our expertise and it’s great to be informative.

    At £300 it's pretty much the same price as my fairly decent AKG P220 paired with a Zoom H4. The only benefit appears to be the built in effects, but why would you want to add those to a recording before mixing?
    The live monitoring aspect is interesting, but then again show me the headphones that can fully block out the live sound of the sax so you can use them? I get on okay using AirPod Pro 2's in transparency for hearing protection in a sound booth, but even with noise cancelling on I can still hear plenty of the sax.

      The main advantage of this setup is having everything within one device. While it's typically best to record dry into a DAW and add effects during post-processing, this method simplifies the process for those who prefer recording directly into their phone using the camera app. Another benefit is the ability to use Bluetooth audio, allowing you to play along and record simultaneously.

    The mic? I have one and love it. But garage band? Man, that is anything but simple. I cannot get the plug in and hit record experience at all. I had it one time. But since then, garage band tries to select some king of input that really messes with the sound. And garage band is ridiculously hard to use for a simple sax player. If you an audio engineer? Sure. But until you start setting it up, you find that you get about four bars of recording before it just stops; you get a lead in metronome that is hard to turn off. That’s my experience. Your mileage may vary.

      Conversely, I had never used Garage band before using this and got to grips to it rather well. I did have to watch a couple of youtube videos but thats expected when you have to learn new tech.
      I love how you can play a backing track in garage band, this can be fed into the Flashtrack microphone and you can hear it over the headphones along with myself playing the sax and with zero lag.. And garageband can record just my sax on a separate track so I can adjust levels for when i want to export a finished master.
      Hopefully you will get to grips with it soon.
