Dr Jones....my dog went to Heaven yesterday. I had her euthanized and I want you to know how much you helped me these three years...I wasnt able to take her to the vet bc of her seizures....so one came here....but these three years were scary and lonely and I felt like I had no one to turn to and the Lord provided you to offer your wisdom and knowledge and she lived longer and in less pain because of you. Thank you. May the Lord bless you in Jesus Name and protect you from all woes and troubles and attacks...I turned to your channel on many a dark night of the soul so to speak over my dear dog.

I am so sorry for your loss 😢. I know it is heartbreaking and I am with you. I know we will see and be with our companions again when we are called home. Dr. Jones is the best. I keep a file on my computer of all the things he recommends. I have a 15yo standard poodle now. I rescued him when the breeder was done using him as a studd dog. I cherish every minute I have with him.
Be well and may God Bless you.

I to am so sorry for your loss. Over the last couple years I had to bury 2 dogs my male lab, which was hard. And a female mastiff.....that one had this 58 year old man crying like a baby. I have to German shepherds now,I walk them around the property every morning and night. I pass by the Graves of my past dogs,I made them antler headstones from moose antlers that they found....I tell them every time I pass......I love them......its amazing how strong a bond can be between k9s and humans. I'm scared because I don't want to go threw it again, and one of my shepherds I am head over heels for like no other dog. I can't bear to think about it without him. I hope the best for you,and for all that have lost, and pray, that WE WILL BE WITH THEM AGAIN!!

Three years ago we inherited our "granddog" Terrier/Poodle as our fourth grandchild was born. The dog, G, was struggling because he has a skittish nature and is an incredibly picky eater. That was three years ago, and now that G is almost 14, he has developed a collapsing trachea and has an incredibly sensitive stomach. He refuses most treats, and it is very difficult to get him to eat. Benedryl upsets his stomach terribly, so we have tried Melatonin, and I just purchased some calming hemp drops for dogs. We are using canned dog food for sensitive stomachs (basically chicken and rice), and we add pumpkin. and other things to add protein..... or just to get him to eat. The problem is that in the evening he starts to whine at us. see He wants more chicken (he spent most of his life on kibble), so this is when we need something to calm him. I was thrilled to see this video and will start trying some of these treatments. If anyone has any suggestions that would be helpful, I would appreciate it!
PS Our lab mix passed away two years ago, so I also think G is missing her. I sure am!

Before my 12.5yo dog passed 2 months ago, I gave her Himalayan Yak Cheese chews to keep her teeth clean. (Along with brushing) They're awesome...natural, totally digestible, hard, last for a very, very, very long time (took my Cane Corso week+ to consume...which is a very long time if you know anything about mastiffs!) and when they get chewed down to small enough of a chunk that they become a choking risk, you pop it into the microwave and they puff up and become a big cheese puff. Love them...and so did my dog!
You can also find "holders" for them as well, that make them easier for your dog to hold on to (because they are long and stick/log like in shape)
    * footnote: your dog may ignore them at first, but once they mouth'em they'll chew on them for hours

@@Tinyteacher1111 I responded but it didn't post. I'm assuming because I mentioned the platform from which you can find them... it begins with an A. Just search Himalayan dog chew holder and they'll come up. The brand name is bonehead. They look like a plastic donut that has a screw or tightening mechanism that holds the chews tightly. They come in at least 2 sizes (L & S)

And I tried everything to remedy them. Nothing really worked very well no matter what I tried. Finally my doctor wanted to put me on a certain kind of pill. I really didn't think using something orally for a cold sores could come to anything good. I told my mother about this and she said try blistex... Yes, good old fashion blistex the old time medicated ointment. It is the only thing that works and you can feel it working right away! I hope it works for you. It is a savior to me. Our dogs got hit by a sting ray. Left a big gash on his legs. No vet nearby. We gave him CBD oil and sowed it up. Also because he is Young and energetic we gave him CBD oil twice A day for a week to keep him calm and he healed up just fine. No limp. We were very lucky that it was a small ray and didn't hit a tendon.

Two years ago I took on a pup who turned out to be unusually aggressive at the young age of 5 weeks. We had been told he was 7 or 8 weeks old, but later found out that the mother had rejected the pups at 3 weeks of age and they lied about his age. I have been a dog trainer and behaviorist for a very long time and told the people he was supposed to go to that it was NOT the dog for them! Long story short, he had a ton of problems and I'm sure I saved his life by keeping him myself and rehabilitating him with my experience and dog pack (not my choice, but what were his options?). I had him neutered at just over a year, although it hasn't helped as much as I had hoped. He has turned out to be a great dog in so many ways, but still has a problem with "raging" which can be quite scary! Lately I have been using L-Theonine, which seems to be helping somewhat, but managing to prevent the rage is still key. I'm very grateful for your help with these supplements. I will increase the dose of L-Theonine and try some of the other suggestions in addition. I have made so much progress with this dog and wouldn't be able to place him with anyone else (due to the rage and. "alpha wannabe" attitude) and don't want to have him put down even though the management is more than I really care to do at my age. Hoping for the best!

Hello, I'm hoping you can help. I've watched your ear infection videos and went to find the canesten or clotrimazole cream and can't find it. Everything had other ingredients (TRI-something and some others had another C type name). I noticed those videos are older now, so I guess they don't offer the stuff with the ingredients you mentioned now.
What do I need to be looking for?
    Or do these others work?

I'll check my other nearest town, as they have a CVS. And if I still can't find it, then off to Amazon I go.

Melatonin does absolutely nothing for my dog, nor does CBD. Sometimes he gets even more stressed. I'll need to try these other recommendations. And combine them all I feel. After losing his vision and hearing he's become so incredibly anxious.

Might not be giving enough CBD, I had to double the recommended dose. And a lot of the brands are junk.

What about Rescue or Feliway? What's your take on that, doc?
I find them both very good, especially the Feliway to spray their travel crate or spray the car.

How do we use rescue remedy for a large dog? Also wondering about L theanine. I have natural factors 100mg chewables. Dose for an adult is 200mg per day. This dog here is close to 100 pounds, so adult human = 200mg....large dog = 1000mg?

Quick question-maybe someone in the community might know the answer to this. I’ve been watching Dr. Jones’ videos to help with finding a good homemade dog food recipe. I noticed that a lot of the homemade dog foods, as well as the commercial, still contain peas although although peas and lentils are the number one suspect that researchers believe are linked to the heart issues (DCM) caused by the grain free dog foods. Even DrJones’ homemade recipe video from a year ago contained peas, so I figure I must be missing something. Anyone have any knowledge on this? Dr Jones’ allergy recipe contained chard so I’m going to use that-just curious why the commercial dog foods still use peas….

Would you make a video explaining why a cat may not retract a single, or a random few claws? It's not overgrown. It seems to be bothersome when I touch it compared to any of the "healthy" retracting claws. The quic looks a bit red under there as well and the surrounding area, the nail bed or the cuticle so to speak, seems almost healed around the nail. The closest thing I can explain is like a human nail where the cuticle meets.
    PLEASE HELP MY GIRL 😢
