Ok at least there is still some vote of confidence for Reina more than I have since I kind of already defected to Alisa after they said Reina was nerfed.
Trying to make a Pocket Dragunov and Paul but the Paul is going better.
I’m a fT2 she controls the pace and you have to react to her basic shit
In a longer set she can delve into her Mishima game
She’s definitely strong and people downplaying her is wild I main her and she’s strong as shit
But what exactly does being "strong" means? Shaheen is strong, Kazuya is strong. Lili and Bryan are also strong. Being strong means almost nothing in this game.
This is without mentioning the undisputable stronger characters like Drag, Nina or Feng.

she has tools traditional mishmas dont have.
basic ass ones, a df2 a hopkick ff2.
she has the mishima game when people start to try and get a beat on those and mishima tools are always gonna be viable in tekken. coupled with her good movement as being a female character she has a good backdash and sidestep. her attacks have very low hitboxes also
in a FT2 in tournament or long set she is very powerful. she doesnt really have a bad matchup ether
She's definitely strong as hell. The way she can bulldoze opponents is real.
Is there a character that can't?
I’ll believe that when I see someone win a tournament primarily using her.

@@KeithKillingly yeah but all reina specialists struggled and immidiatly won after switching. like ulsan switching to dragunov and immidiatly winning with him
@@KeithKillingly at least u have people performing with feng and kazuya, right now the reina players perform on every character better except when on reina
Sick of her being nerfed every patch, she isnt some potato head character like King or Dragunov.

I definitely feel the opposite. My staple combos what i did a million times before started dropping for no reason. Even the beginner ones... Everything i just trying to do is not working. even the counterhit combos what i did a lot of times before and practiced a million times just not working. I legitimately afraid to do combos now with Reina and thinking about just switching to another character because she is too inconsistent... I died too many times because of this...

if a 90-100 dmg combo starts failing try sticking with 70-89 daamge combos works for me
they are and always have been consistent. you just need to know when you cant do certain things like combos that only work on large models.

@@caesportsfpsproreplays82 My combo is: Double Electric, DF11, F23, DF1-Sen1+2, and the ender is HW cancel DF 13 or the HW 34. But this combo is started dropping at the Sentai 1+2 even if i dont do the DF1 before and do the Sen1+2 after the F23 Sen, and sometimes both ender dropping also. The others from CD3 Counterhit and FC4 or FC3 is started dropping at the first DF1

@@AzarathX. she is strong but shes hard to play espicially in higher ranks. once i hit blue ive been playing agasint good players that know her gaps and unsafe moves

Nobody is downplaying, shes just not that strong compared to top tiers and thats a fact.
Tbh i dont think shes that strong. Too many OS for her on defense. Also if ur opponent guesses right on literally any mixup she has, shes probably getting launched. Id say shes low A tier. The top tiers in this game get high reward for little risk, Reina does not fit this definition. Shes good but a lot less free offense than basically half the cast since she cant just flow chart low mid mixups on autopilot.
Ehhh there are no clean OS’s as far as I’m aware. You can simplify the guesses a lot but she still makes you guess, that’s kinda the whole thing.
And she has very free offense with 1,1, df1, EWGF, f4, etc. Her neutral control is nuts.
It’s the mixups that are low-ish reward high risk but you can offset that some because her mids are so strong.
