lmfaooo, it's real tho as a new tekken player. when you get super armor in a game it's hard not to use it as a round opener when your opponent is very agressive
I just peaked in Fujin... Had a single day in it and ranked back down. It's SO sweaty... Omg. Everyone plays to win. Had to take a break. Now I'm back on the grind back in.
@@yeagermanhwo no there is a difference between playing to learn, improve and prove yourself that you're getting better and playing to win. The one requires you to adapt to your opponent, use the right moves in the right situation and overall be the better player. The other just requires to use the same 2 moves, which your opponent can't react to and spam the shit out of them before he gets used to it. And thanks to the bo3, you have usually 2 rounds and then the you have to face a completely different person. There is a difference.
I recently got out of purple and into blue ranks, one of the training methods I did can also fall under the "Punish Negative moves category" as a subset category. I practiced my launch combos when I blocked a negative move (assuming it's the generic -15 or more). I did this in training mode just to get into my head and the muscle memory to instinctive launch punish and proceed with said combo. Cause before I would know a move is launch punishable, but would not do the combo I am supposed to do or would drop it in the moment. I picked whatever character that had a launch punisheable move (ie: Hwoarang Back 3 -19). Practicing different launch combos helped me breeze through Flame Ruler and even got me a winning streak.
I hit tekken king 3 times and all of these tips are so true, even past blue ranks! Although, to be completely honest, I still can't tech throws. I just guess which one is coming and commit to the break.
Great video as always Averyx! I appreciate the reminder that staying confident and opportunistic goes a long way because oh boy I can admit to being someone that gets discouraged after making a few bad decisions. Nice to know that even in ranks higher than I'm at people tend to struggle with some things that I might go back on and think "how the hell did I make this mistake here" or "why did I not launch this" and so on lol. Anyways good luck with your grind to blue ranks. I'd love to see you share your experience. I'm not too far away from hitting that purple myself and I'll definitely be ready to keep learning when I get there. Best of luck with college aswell!
thanks so much!! I def will be showing off my grind to blue ranks soon, I have a few other topics I want to make a video on, but im glad to hear people are excited to see my blue ranks video, I will make sure to put lots of love into it, thanks for the great comment, and im so glad the video helped you!!
Really good video❤As someone who just started to grind ranked and got into purple ranks from reds this video helps me alot❤Very helpful and informative❤❤
I think it'd be an amazing idea to do an anti-King guide. He's an absolute MONSTER in low ranks and against new players, and I myself (being a new player) find him to be the only character that makes me genuinely feel hopeless when I'm fighting him. I know there are a lot of ways to deal with Kings, but for the life of me I either can't internalize them or can't execute them in matches. Your anti-Jin guide has been super helpful, and so I'm really hoping you can do the same with King.
If youre still in low rank, for king, after the king does a few hits without grabbing, just duck and punish, because 70% of the time, they will instinctively grab
I havent played ranked on my main character because its in a bad state and I have much more important things to do (college classes, two full time job, editing videos, etc.), I want to make one real long video about hitting fujin when im mentally ready for it, but life has thrown some unexpected problems my way I feel is more important to fix at the moment. Until then im playing offline and practicing for that video!
I feel that shouldnt be controversial at all any stagger low is better blocked youre just getting scammed with how little dmg low parry does in this game
LOL. This will not only make you get out of purple ranks, heck, I know people ( I am one) in even BLUE ranks who don't do half of this. Even in lower God-ranks this isn't done consistently. Just doing punishing and throw-breaking regularly will get you do lower God-ranks.
@@alixvapp her 12 string is super good, but i recommend not autopiloting 122 into stance. I usually pressure with 12 sidestep 4 and start checking what reactions they give. And occasionally go for the frame traps. U can spam cancan vs low abusers and always try to bring them into the wall for huge dmg. Btw in blue ranks her low heatsmash from GEN is criminally underrated, u can rob matches easily with it. Also not necessary but its good to learn her longer heat combos.
Yes we're carried how many times are ppl like you gonna keep saying stuff like this. Let people be happy and enjoy the game, it's like you want the fgc to not get new people. If the ranks are inflated so be it, GoD players still gonna be at the top if they know how to play real Tekken so it don't even matter
A blue rank and a yellow rank both starting the round with a power crush is excellent food for thought
lmfaooo, it's real tho as a new tekken player. when you get super armor in a game it's hard not to use it as a round opener when your opponent is very agressive
how do you mean? imo they are both essentially saying "fuck your option i want this to hit"

Hell yeah congrats! Keep that grind going and you can for sure get to tekken king!
Its ranked
Of course everyone plays to win😂

nice video keep it up! Would love to see a Anti King Guide like your Dragunov and Jin ones :3

My biggest issue with grabs is 1 breaks and 1+2 breaks are near impossible to tell apart quickly cause I can’t see the other arm

Thanks as always! im glad to hear its been helping, good luck on that ranked grind!!
@@AveryxFGC thank you alot🫡

I think the skills that get players into purple ranks, can be used to propel someone all the way to Tekken King. It's just how consistent they are
I disagree, you generally need to counter characters in purple and early blue ranks, in late blue to Tekken king it's about countering the player
@@shaghilathar3588 I don't think you countered my point tbh, I think you are correct
So it’s been a month you hit fujin yet 🤔 no updated video I see

Been watching your vids for a while, really helpful stuff. Would you be free anytime for a match?
thank you so much for the support, and absolutely! drop your friend code and id totally be down to play some matches sometime:)
@@AveryxFGC Thanks man. My friend code is 2eE3-DFAq-Eqg8. Ps player named Sheemaloid. Let me know when you're free to play. I'm on UK time
Anti Steve guide please, not sure why but feel like he always wrecks me. Would be amazing to have your insight.
Steve is a super fun character ive wanted to check out for a minute, Ill make sure to keep this in mind!
So hard to convince people that blocking and punishing kazuyas hellsweep is better than parrying it smh.
As a kazuya main, I support this message

Whats the song thats playing at the beginning?
i hit tekken king with Jun after 120 hours and everyone called me carried
Let them cry, gg ! Any tips to reach Tekken King as Jun ? I'm currently Fujin

@@tankata2 Good to know, thanks for the information. I want to keep learning her just for the character knowledge and this information is very helpful
dont ever let anyone complain about you being carried, if its a character in the game, you can play her however it gets you the win!
How to get to Tekken King?
Frame traps, punish as much as possible, block more, high damage combos, learn all your counter hit combos.
Purple rank in T8 is basically green rank in T7 😂😂

No Bro, green ranks in t7 lost to the most basic flowcharts, even green ranks in this game are better
Haha very true
Low red rank is the way i saw it
Tekken needs to get rid of parries. Or they should only be able to use their parry once per round, spamming them constantly can be annoying
1:42 I CANT SEE. Am I the only one who struggle with this ?
I'm at Tekken God with Lee and I can't break throws at all 🫣
