Thank you Julia. So interesting to see your completed items and wips. I love the cushion. 🇬🇧
i love the colour palettes of both of your crochet blankets! so fun!
I absolutely love the cushion. The tank is very much your colour
I am knitting cotton shawl. And cotton blanket Corner to Corner
Like you I'm working on multiple projects. I'm working on the Slyphe Shawl by Natasja Hornby, The Penelope Kerchief by Woolsome Knits, and Anker's Summer Shirt by Petiteknit. Last year I worked on the Ranunculus, and for reasons I don't understand it grew to such a huge proportion that I had to frog it. So I'm going to try and work on it again after I finish what I have on the needles. I recently bought the emotional support chicken kit and can't wait till I get around to doing that. It's quite gratifying when a project is finished. I just finished the press flowers shawl which was an enjoyable knit. I'm always in awe at all the knitting you do, and so fast. All your projects are beautiful, especially those socks. I love them all and none are ugly. They are all unique. Take care! And keep recording those podcasts. They are inspiring. Have a great weekend. Until next time. CYA!
Loved seeing all of your makes and in progress makes. I'm currently on break from my sweater.....down to the piecing it together and so decided to knit up a few washcloths. Have a great long weekend and I shall do the same. Happy Knitting!
Thank you for giving up your lunch break to record. All your projects and fo’s are lovely. I’m coming close to finishing the Salty Air tee, I’m also working on a Jelly roll blanket 2 pairs of socks. I have a petite knit Monday sweater waiting for love a crochet square blanket on the back burner and lots of stash to work thru I’m sure my story is far from unique.
Enjoy your long weekend and happy crafting. Best wishes Frances
Hi Julia! Red heart yarns become much softer after washing. It is a nice yarn and very hardy! Enjoy your weekend!
That's brilliant to know, thank you!
All your blankets look very fun! That cushion turned out cute! Socks are socks. Sometimes they look great and other times meh! It's funny how the colors work with that company. Sounds like with the fibre you have purchased you are gearing up for the Tour Du Fleece spinning. I am currently working on socks and just cast on another All the Time sweater which I think I am going to make elbow length sleeves for. I do not spin but have set my Tour Du Fleece challenge of knitting 2 tops - the Tee No 1 and the Ravine. What a fun birthday present! You will get lots of use out of those hooks. Hop you find lots of knitting time!! xx
❤
I’m currently working on a cotton summer bag
I'm also going crazy with the socks. I bought the Summer Lee The Sock Project Book and I have 4 pair of socks on the needles! I'm still working on my Lento and Ankers Summer Shirt.
Nice! I've bought the same book and can't wait to start knitting from it!
I have had a wonderful weekend on a Happy Knitting Podcast binge to catch up after a very knitless month! So glad to have had your company while I try to rush through some socks for my husband’s birthday.
How do you like to prep your fiber for long draw? I have been trying to make myself little rolags with hand carders but always end up with more of a short forward draw, maybe out of a need for control!
Thank you! I don't really like spinning from rolags so prefer to spin from batts?
@@TheHappyKnittingPodcast ah I still need to try a proper batt. All of the fiber I have gotten so far has come to me in such compact braids that it’s tough to draft out without a lot of love first - or maybe I just need more practice!
Acylic don't block well. I find washing it and drying it relaxes the fibers.
That makes a lot of sense, thanks! Do you put it in the dryer?
I’m not the original poster but I absolutely do! Medium heat and everything.
Did you steam block the squares? I find with acrylic you need heat to block it properly, just wet blocking doesn't work that well. The blanket looks amazing and I'm so tempted but I do not need another blanket project 😅
I didn't, but I know I should 😅 do join in, it's such a fun and quick project!
