Thank you for keeping me company on my mid morning coffee break. I’m halfway way through my second helical striped sock using John Arbon Exmoor sock leftovers. 🌷
Since your last podcast I am knitting on Kay Jones endy bits scarflette from bakery bears summer 2024 knitty u. I am knitting it in one ball of knit picks hawthorne fongering in berry smoothie speckle. It will be a birthday gift for a dear friend. Ps. I have bern knitting soley from stash all year.
I'm always glad to see you've posted a video, Julia. I love seeing your projects & hearing about your life in general. I was working on a blanket....but I didn't like how it looked .....so I frogged it & have started a new project w/that yarn. I'm using basic Tunisian stitch. I'm making a lap blanket. It's been so hot here in Ohio ! Whew ! I'm w/you. When it's cool enough that I need a sweater (cardigan), I'm happy ! Heat & I are not good friends. It drains me of energy & makes me grouchy ! Anything over 72 degrees F is too hot for me. I love temps in the 60's. 65 degrees F is like 18.33 C.
I didn’t realize I would run out of yarn. I am seeing that I likely will. The modification I made was to only do 8 repeats on both the lace1 and the lace2 pattern sections in the middle of the wrap. Your wrap will be unique and lovely. I went to my stash and took a 5gr. mini of driftwood from my 21 color mitts kit and a 50 gr. skein from the woodland ruana kit. Future me will buy more to replenish my kits.
What a deal on the JC Rennie yarn! I’m working my way down the body of my mini mock neck tank, but my hands are starting to want something a little more complex…maybe the Umbria Summer Top if I can find the right yarn
I’m happily knitting on a pair of socks as well as a lace wrap from an old Rowan book. I do enjoy knitting lace but this one is definitely not tv knitting, at least for me, as it doesn’t have any resting rows.
Nice to hear about your current projects. Currently working on a baby blanket using the pattern Bounce from Tin can knits. It has a fun and easy lace pattern
Always love your videos.
The Monticello Wrap is GORGEOUS 🤩

Loved the video today. That yarn you purchased would make a wonderful striped sweater. Your blanket looks so soft and squishy. 🇬🇧

Always enjoy your podcasts! I am knitting a SSK jumper by Helga Isager and you knit it sleeve to sleeve so looking forward to the construction method!

Thank you!! Yes I agree with you, 65 degreees F sounds perfect!! Hope it cools down soon!
It’s been 38 - 39° for the past couple of weeks here and also no A/C so I’ve been sticking to socks. Making the Melbourne Socks in some stash yarn.

Interesting - what is the wrap called if you don't mind me asking? I'd love to have a look at the pattern!

I just looked up the blanket - it looks beautiful and very fun to knit!
@@TheHappyKnittingPodcast It is. The pattern is easy enough to be remembered after a few repeats and engaging enough to stay on the project ❤️
I am spinning for TDF and rn I'm halfway through a yak silk braid.
