  • In this video you are shown how to make rope and cordage quickly and efficiently, using a copy of an ancient native Americans cordage spinner. Twisted, and reverse wrapped cordage are demonstrated

    You could have shown the spinner in more detail as many RUclipsrs would make the spinner themselves and it would have been nice if you would have given some info about where the spinner idea came from.

    So when you’re spinning it the first time to the left, how would you splice a new piece in if you wanted a longer piece, or were working with shorter raw pieces of bark?

    I'm an old handspinner. We call that reverse twist "plying".

    I have seen another man on RUclips use a similar technique. He used cordage and twisted it into rope however. Thank you for sharing your knowledge here.
