Quick semantic (but somewhat important) correction. The Lebanon, Gaza etc, are under the claim of "Historic Israel", whereas the more extremist (and mostly ridiculed) "Greater Israel" spans well beyond aforementioned claims.
The misconception is often utilized in (any sides') propagandist outlets, rather than analytical ones, so I thought for once it might be worth mentioning

Will be interesting to see if this revitalizes Hezbollah which was created as a result of the 1982 Israeli invasion.

1. Israel is much stronger than Hamas (Gaza), and Hezbollah (Southern Lebanon). It is utter insanity for both of them to provoke a military conflict with such powerful neighbor.
2. United States has always been a firm supporter and close ally of Israel since 1970s. America provided full diplomatic cover and unlimited military support to Israel many times in the past.
Why would anyone expect US to suddenly abandon Israel, or even sanction Israel, which will benefit America's rivals in the region (i.e. Iran-Russia alliance)??
Not gonna happen. America will continue proping-up Israel as its champion in the region.

Resolution 1701 was accepted by all parties. But one side didn't do their side of the bargain. They remained on the border and not behind the river and have built up massive infrastructure for their forces.
On 10/8, for the last 11 months, strikes have been occurring on Northern region of the nation.
They have received warnings for almost a year to cease their actions.
They did not listen. Now they will pay the price of their actions.
They had 18 years since 2006 to fulfill the terms of Resolution 1701. Now a few days back they want to implement it?

It's been quite encouraging to see the younger people in the West turn against Israel, but our countries are still lead by those older people who are so crippled by (carefully cultivated) artificial guilt over the holocaust that they would allow Israel to genocide the whole world rather than dare criticize them.
