- This is a new video format I've been working on, let me know if you enjoyed it! I might do a few more, If I missed anything let me know! If you have a locomotive you would like to see done in this style let me know!
Hopefully at one point this moves to a museum.
I hope so! I'd like to see it up and running again!
Here is what I think: Cowl Units look good with both passenger and freight trains, and EMD & GE should make Cowl Unit versions of their SD70ACe’s and Evolution Series locomotives.
That would be pretty neat to see! I wish they would make those!
MRL #290 SDP40R would be another video to recommend. That has had a long storied life and continues were it started almost back to BNSF with the purchased of MRL
Yeah I think that'll be the next video I do. I've wanted to catch that engine for a while but haven't been able to. Thanks for the idea!
290 is unfortunately dead but yes I agree that would be a great video

Actually, some GN F45s were delivered in the GN scheme. It was the final batch that was delivered in BN green.
Yeah, I thought I had put something in there saying that these 20 were the final few, but must’ve forgotten to put it in there.😅
@@RathdrumRailfan It's call good. Just wanted to set the record straight. Other than that, good video! Hope that unit will get restored at some point. Have you seen that GN Lodge in Montana where an F45 was gutted and turned into a hotel lodge in Essex, MT? It's pretty cool! It's actually a former ATSF unit they painted into GN colors.
@@Cnw8701 Yeah, thanks for letting me know! I have heard of the locomotive getting moved there, I haven't been there before, but it sounds very cool! It would've been nice if they could've used a former GN locomotive, but I'm sure there's no visual differences!
@@RathdrumRailfan Yeah, would've made more sense if they did use an actual ex-GN locomotive, but it's still cool.

The F45's went to Wisconsin and Southern, leased to BN, before being sold to MRL.

There were four MRL F45's, 390, 391, 392, and 393. 393 was on the I&M Rail Link before being brought to MRL.
Oh thanks for letting me know! They must’ve went from the NYSW to the I&M, thank you for letting me know, I was mostly going off of pictures I found on RRpictures.net , I guess I must’ve missed it! Thanks for letting me know!

excellent info about the history of this loco; but why text all over the screen and this way unable to see the picture -make the text smaller and there is no need to add music -the pictures are the "music"
I'm glad you liked the history side of it! I'll try to make the text smaller next time, or just add a few more slides after the text goes away. I might take away the music on the next one. Thanks for letting me know! I'll definitely work on making the text smaller and what not!
the music is annoying. but not as annoying as big frickin' letters all over the pics. O.o narrate the video or don't bother.
