One of the biggest ways mentors in my life have impacted my life is by speaking biblical wisdom into my life/big decisions! What about you? How has having a mentor impacted you, or what would you hope to gain in having one?
Hey Kaci , the mentors that really impacted my life and Christian journey have been online. The Late Pastor David Wilkerson and the late Leonard Ravenhill and also Paul Washer. God really used these men to help me see the glory in the gospel. I was always forced to fall more and more in love with Jesus Christ and I think that’s what I want from a mentor. But not having a mentor physically meant I really had to fight and cry over my sins in prayer for God to help me break away from my old life .
Omgosh I literally just spoke with my hubby about a mentor the other week and I think I need one in my life so I have a elderly lady from church who I think may well be good for me to spend time with ❤
Having a mentor really help me a lot. She give me challenge to to help me grow more in my faith and do God’s will. I know that I can not do it by my self and my mentor help me and encourage me, She is someone I look for to ask the advice 😊
Having a mentor shaped my prayer life. My mentor played a huge role in identifying certain patterns that I had to break free from to progress spiritually and has helped me mature in my faith.
I always thought that I couldn’t participate in a small group Bible study because I can’t quote scripture’s and feel like I wouldn’t ask intelligent questions. Recently I joined a small women’s Bible study and I couldn’t be happier ❤️ I believe God encouraged me to join and that I believe the women that runs the group has been such a blessing to me.
Me and fiancé found God on our own, now we’re getting ready for our baptism and have meetings with our pastor. It is so helpful and also my fiancé helps me so much with explaining things and talking about things I can’t figure out on my own. It’s so helpful and I am so thankful for the man I am going to marry and the pastor that is so helpful for us ❤️🙌🏻 being around leaders and believers is so helpful and I can feel my faith growing daily 💞 Thank you for this inspiring video Kaci 😊
It’s so often like here is how you mentor others but like rarely how to personally seek out one. I’ve been praying for this a long time. I still haven’t found one yet. But these steps are super helpful. Thank you!
I just talked to my friend over the weekend about desiring a Christian mentor and wondering how to find one. Thank you for sharing this biblical wisdom as I am still seeking❣️
Thank you for this video. My mentor is my pastor. We meet once per week... reading and studying the Word of God together, we discuss ministry together, and he gives advice, guidance, and support for me in ministry. We always finish in prayer. He continues to follow up during the week as well. I haven't been under this tight mentorship/discipleship before, and I absolutely love it. It has really helped me grow in the gospel, as a disciple, and as a ministry leader.
Thank you so much for this video ♥️ It answered so many questions I’d had and I will continue to pray for the Lord to lead me to a mentor. I have 5 children and was raised in a very broken home so I’d love someone local and further along the path to glean from.
Wow, God's timing. I am finishing up a re:gen program ar our church and during summer our job is to find a mentor to continue in the program. I have this on my prayer list for a few weeks, but now that we have the last meeting tomorrow makes it more real and I felt the pressure and a bit discouraged in figuring out how to find a mentor. This came at the right time Praise our God 🙌
I’m looking discipleship and godly council to help provide direction and spiritual growth. Been saved 20 years and never really had one. I have someone in mind and I thank u for helping me with ur insights! I probably never approached it without ur advice. Thank u!!
This is actually really good with what you said for my new luxury brand I launched. I love how you differentiate between copying and emulating and what is correct to emulate. Most peopl get it wrong and try to copy the fruits than what they should be emulating. Wouldn't mind having you as a guest speaker one day! All the best to you and your channel!
Thank you Kaci, for this informative video. I have just started feeling the Lord telling me to find a Christian mentor. I will pray to Him for His guidance and help in finding a mentor. I have been following God for some time now, but I feel the need to discuss biblical views and how they relate to my life more pressing now. Thank you for your help in finding a mentor. Blessing, Kaci!
Hey Kaci💜 just wanna appreciate you for sharing so much wisdom & fruitful goodies to us!! I’ve only been watching your videos recently this year, but I’ve learned truly so much from you🥰 thank you for shining our dear Lord’s light-you’re such a blessing to our generation🤍✨ may God bless you to continue being a blessing
Howdy pilgrims. I'm looking for information about how the Church could and should prepare young men to make/maintain adult life relationships and marry (if they want to marry). There are so many boys without fathers in one way or another, and they seem to be fed to the world like disposable heroes. And it appears our culture can have men around, but these important issues are being neglected even with them present in communities. 30 years ago I was a born-again Christian young man with no relationship mentoring. I didn't ask questions, and I guess my parents assumed I had it figured out, but I did not. And no one was around to ask in person because I was off in a fresh military career, many miles away. All of my work people were not living for God, and just winging life as well. I was in church and Bible groups but their focus was never relationship focused. I got married too soon/too carelessly and it crashed, and I got burned badly. I picked a woman poorly and it was an unnecessary disaster. It was all preventable, yet there were no precautions being taught to me as an active man in the Church. I felt like I was sucker-punched. Now, as a father of two relatively young sons I am searching how to teach them to seek and receive mentorship, and I want to know how to pass guidance to other young men as well. There is not a lot of focused Christian material on this, and I don't find a lot of discussion or discipleship help on it whatsoever. Yet, our "churched" marriages are falling apart as much, or more, as the world's lost folks. Why is this so difficult to teach and help young churched believers with? Where are the focused Christian efforts at raising and guiding good young men and women to date/marry wisely? It sure seems like this is a super-weak link in the Church. What do you think? Is it? It seems like organizational suicide to raise believers with little to no relationship guidance from a very early age and expect them to make a good Bride to Christ, doesn't it? They are the future of the Church. They should be better prepared, else they are very likely to crash/burn their families and run from God in the process. I've seen this happen to many friends. If you know of any good teaching portions please share with me. LORD, please send me to the existing guidance and experts if I'm overlooking them. Peace and thanks!
Ok...question. What if you pray and God lays someone on your heart to be your mentor but you are not currently in church with that person? I know this is a Godly woman and i would learn quite a lot from her but Im hesitant to ask because we are in different churches. However we are of the same faith. I really feel God has laid her on my heart. Your video at this time confirms things in my mind. Should I still ask her?
I'd love a mentor but lately so many Christian people such as singers pastors etc that are saying things or doing things that I'm not sure are of God. Not judging them but a blogger I follow just announced she is going to pride parades to support that community. I love everyone right where they are at and everything but big topics like this I feel I needs God's truth. Another person I looked up to is now pro choice. In any situation. And while I will never shame someone who made a decision because they felt they had no options I'm not going to say it's right either. There's a huge movement to deconstruct the church and I do agree there's things that denominations added along the way that aren't biblical that need to go but one person said she'd against preaching "purity before marriage" because it's just shaming women. I don't want to shame anyone for anything. I've got my own suitcase full of shameful things I've done that I lug arround but I don't think God's rewriting the Bible to say these things are ok now and aren't really sins. It's like we are deconstructing God and that's not ok. I'd have to find a mentor that speaks truth and if they don't have the answer to not just say oh that's not a sin anymore.
I was thinking this same too. We need to keep out eyes open in the middle of mentorship and not become ”fans” of our mentors. Bible is higher authority than our mentors who are still people and can fall. Just test their teachings and way of life and then it would be beneficial.
Its simple. Pride parades of those alphabet groomers thing is gross. Pro choice is wrong and sex before marriage is sinful and that applies to both men and women.
It important to ask the Holy Spirit for discernment, guidance & direction-- then allow Him to answer our prayer as He will. It is always best to ask Him to choose our mentor or partner as He knows our every need. Also, God's timing & way of mentorship may be more casual or formal than we've thought. And lastly, yielding to God's ways brings life & joy.
It really isn’t a good idea… talking from personal experience. Now I’m part of a group that promotes same sex mentorship. It seems so much healthier and we can talk about anything 😊
Hello! I am agoraphobic with panic disorder. Even if I wanted to go to church, I couldn't. And I'm still scared of covid 19. I don't think I need a mentor. I'd like to talk, chat with Christians but I don't think I need a mentor. I need a dog and a wife.
Please be mindful of the way you are dressed for the world to see. It can easily be a stumbling block for other believers and it is not a loving thing to do.

I'd like to gain a sense of what God would have me do and maybe a sense of belonging.
Make new Christian friends and join Christian communities online thru bible app etc. I've found great fellowship and belonging.
I just talked to my friend over the weekend about desiring a Christian mentor and wondering how to find one. Thank you for sharing this biblical wisdom as I am still seeking❣️
I was just watching how to surrender and wanted to pray later asking how to begin my new journey in Christ. 😊
Aw I love it - He's always speaking 😊

Absolutely true - the one who wants to be mentored should take the first step!
Such a wonderful video! Thank you for your insights on this topic 🧡

I have so many little questions as a baby Christian but I feel dumb for asking.
