WOW, Ben (and his bro) really went above and beyond with his signature touch of making something in his workshop for the owners, making not just the butcher block countertops, but beautiful headboard/footboard and bedside tables. Amazing!

I would love love love to have real butcher block countertops. They really warm up a kitchen.
Going up we had a pull down light fixture. I thought it was cool then and I still do.
We had ours over the table. Down to work puzzles and play cards, up for meals

That lady seemed like she had been doing some drinking for sure. She was annoying and I felt bad that she took away from all the amazing work done to that house.The house was gorgeous.

But I don't like the table lamp with it. That one is too disproportionately large, and also just doesn't "go with" the retractable one.

My kitchen only had pine, rather than the oak floors thru the rest of our house. It’s beautiful when stained but soft.

my question is: has anyone ever accidently set the floor on fire using a torch? Years ago, helping to do a remodel job with my parents, my step dad was using a torch to pop off glued tile squares-had one that was being a bit of a problem, & he accidently set the floor on fire trying to get it off-ended up replacing the whole floor to cover up the burned area he made.
That wasn't and isn't a Craftsman style. Do they think we're that stupid? It's not necessary to make up stuff for Erin and Ben's show - they always do a good job on their designs (though they could stop boxing in the refrigerators; let 'em breathe and don't restrict the amount of space a replacement would require.

Granite is so overdone. It's also cold to the touch. I much prefer butcher block countertops. Wood is about 92% antiseptic, so it makes sense.
